  5. your attitude wasnt supposed to be the center point of this thread anymore than my grammer. you chose to make them a point, as i chose to respond. i did see where you apolagized and that at least shows you have the ability to say your wrong. but i dont understand trying to lash out at others who dont agree with your points of view. pretty childish indeed Joe

But those sure are long sentences! ---------------- i see you need to jump on the band wagon for grammer school, cant stick with the subject at hand, (your pompas attitude twords telling others how they should value an item as you do!) this just shows your level of ignorance as well as jehis. are these sentences to long for you also. since this seems to amuse you. may i suggest you go back and read all my threads that should take up the rest of your pittiful evening and you can have a good laugh over my grammer then your life will be complete and you can spare the rest of us your stupidity Joe

  11. i use la scalas in a room where they set 9 feet apart, and i set back around 7 feet i do have space behind me but the soound is near amazeing, the only thing that may be a little lacking is sseperation at times (depends alot on the recording) i think if you are into the music and not real fussy with the seperation or imaging if ou want to call it that you will be very happy with the scala, moreso than with the corns(not bashing the corns , i had 2 pair i just think the scala sounds better) Joe

If you have the corners and the space to allow the horns to sing I do not think you will ever look back. ---------------- talking back and forth with the guy in pa that has them on a-gon, hoping to work it out so i can get them, my current situation is not good at all for the k-horhs but i will be moving at some point and i would like to have everything togeather before that comes along, actually the la scalas are to big and spaced to close for my current house, i do have good corners but they are only 12 feet apart joe
  14. hey michael i didnt think you were speaking of my packing personally i mainly responded with the info so anyone would know of the care i take when shipping joe
  15. hey colter i have also been the receipient of some poor shipping practices, i have a way of shipping though that has served me well with 3 differant pair of speakers i had a set of corns shipped to me, i shipped out a set of infinity kappa 8, and a set of heresys all with no incidents what i do is go to lowes and buy 1.5" high density foam and cover all 6 sides of the speakers then i wrap them in cardboard with the foam completely surrounding the speakers they have to be really neglagent and actuall puncture them or stab them to damage as dropping would only smash the foam i use, as far as the scalas i would probably have to go thru forward air to be cost effective and i would wrap with the foam and then set on a pallet strap them down then build a plywood crate around them i think they would survive that fine i was quoted a year ago 141.00 to have a set shipped to me in md and the seller lived in ca thanks for the input though Joe
  16. i have a decent pair of lascalas, and a very nice pair of heresy 2's, first the scalas, they are 1977 models, they work flawless with bec rebuilt AA xovers, the cosmetics are the slight drawback these are the birch model stained a dark walnut, a previous ouner got acareless with the sander and went thru the veneer in 2 places 1 on top, and the other on the front next to the tweeter shows up as dark spots, the heresys 2, are oiled oak and are as close to perfect as you will find, they have the black grills on them check out the pics i would sell them togeather or seperate, in pairs onlyi would like to get 350.00 for the heresyes and 800 for the la scalas i can ship either set at a buyers expense Joe
  17. "because here of all places people should know the value" value is relative to an individual's views, not everyone values things the same, on this forum i beleive peoples opinions are also a valued resource and should not be put up to ridacule by someone else that happens to place higher value on an item and by the way i have seen no less than 2 threads by a fellow canadian of yours that bought a pair of k horns for 200.00, so they do show up in your aera for far less than you paid if you were willing to wait lastly the 2200.00 khorns belong to a forum member and he offered them to me less than 2 weeks ago for a much better price so if anyone is interested i suggest making an offer i have also seen pics and they are an awsome set of speaks i was 200.00 short of affording them someone else here may be lucky enough to get these, the ouner is a nice guy and seems reasonable enough Joe
  18. you need to shop around a bit i think i have seen several pair of k horns sell for well under 2200, of course condition makes a differance in the final price, just as supply and demand make a differance, i didnt see dylani complaining i took it as him expressing his opinion on the value, you seem to be trying to sale the speakers awfully hard are they yours do you have a vested interest in them, why should it offend you that someone else thinks the price point is high Joe
  19. some of us cant afford to pay market price, we have to work like dogs just to make ends meet, maybe you should think before you tell others how to spend there dollars, i cant seem to figure where market value is on k horns one time they will sell for 1500 next time they go for 3500 go figure Joe
  20. these are on audiogon black finish guy says they are in nice condition (wish i were closer i would snap these up) good luck guys Joe
  21. i would be willing to bet the seller would still take the 500 if someone offers it up instantly as he was asking lucky im not in fla or i would have snapped them up without a doubt Joe
