  1. Vancouver is a nice city, have been downtown a few times, last time in 2000.  I lived in Philadelphia, not so nice, but moved to the burbs.  Homes here can also hit those levels.  There are mortgages for appropriate purchased homes , which if you consider all the things people borrow money for...  when purchased correctly homes tend to work out financially at least in the US.  Best of luck.  Cheers.

  2. I use Mogati 8700 S Turbo Galaxy inter cables.  Speaker wire was so 1970s. Mine have a cool name, costs more money, really cool coating on I can only assume are gold strands and seems to improve my sound.  I should also mention I have fern pots on my speakers, lots of reflective decorative plates on the wall, and improper set up of the speakers to listening position (dern wife), but dang, those wires..!!!!  Top Notch.  I also listen to scratchy records with a .10 watt amp and $80,000 custom speakers.  The first .00000000001 watt is the most important.  Also I live on a busy street and the ambient noise level is 60 dB.

  3. I think as long as the speaker cable has the recommended gauge based on Klipsch and the length of runs and is properly made, you should be fine.  If you get down to the crazy details some will go down in that rabbit hole, then might be a question to ask what type of wire are being used to deliver your electricity in the first place..  I think a much more valid question is how does your room sound?

    Paraphrasing from Marc Cohn,

"Don't you give me no Buick
Girl, you must take my word
If there's a God up in Heaven
    He's got a silver Thunderbird
You can keep your El Dorado
    Man, the foreign car's absurd
    Me, I wanna go down
    In a silver Thunderbird"

Its all about the music.  Cheers

  5. It happens, all apart of the live music experience, like paying for tickets.  Just need to use your brain to focus and if you can see that they are drunk.. never say anything to them... never.  Perhaps to the usher if you can find one.  Just focus on the music and hope she takes her top off.
