1. I used to have RF-35 HT setup (I really wanted the RF-7s and couldn't afford them that early out of school), switched to Cornwalls since I was listening to more music, but had always wanted to go back to the RF-7s.

After about a week with the RF-7 II/RC-64II, I really like this setup much better for HT purposes. I don't think the lowend sounds as good as the Cornwalls, but I'll rely on my SVS sub for that. Really not regretting the decision at all. Once I get a larger house, I'll probably pickup a pair of Cornwalls again for a dedicated stereo system.

I'll have to go research Parasound as well....I'm thinking used might offer the best value

2. I just changed over from my Cornwall system to a RF-7 II system and now I'm looking at going to a separate amp. I'm currently using an HK-254 which I'll continue to use as a pre/pro. I've been looking at the Emotiva UPA-5 and XPA-5. I've also started to look around at Outlaw amps as well. Looking so spend less than 1K....I'd also consider used. Any other models I should be looking at?

3. Does anyone know of their local dealers having these in
stock yet? My dealer has been dragging me along since the end of July
and I am about ready to give up...

sorry to hear that bheinz,
what about the deal with worldwidestereo? if they aren't local to your
area that would make up the difference since you have to pay tax and
they have free shipping. i'm close to biting the bullet on this
one.

What is the deal you are
referring to? I took a quick stroll through their site and didn't see
any special deal. Thanks in advance for any help!

Any info on these deals? Looking at getting back into the Reference line from the heritage line....

4. Thanks, I guess amazon always shows the lowest price seller 1st, but on the right hand of the page it shows amazon selling the item themself for $85.21....Anyway, I'll definitely be buying from an authorized retailer no matter which I choose...

I guess I may have to wait until more people have time to demo the S4...

5. Does anyone have experience with both of these? They're close to the same price on Amazon and it's a tough decision since I don't have a chance to demo them anywhere...

6. I just received a pair of Heresy IIs today via UPS and I noticed that one of the tweeters wasn't functioning properly. How can I test this to check to see if it is an issue with wiring or a faulty tweeter?

The back panel isn't screwed in on this and instead glued I gues...I unscrewed the panel where the binding posts were to briefly examine it, but it was hard to pull the cross over out that way.

7. I've also started looking at the SVS PB10-NSD. Any idea how this would compare with the RW-10? I'm putting this in my home theater with Cornwall Mains and Heresy center/rears. Movie/Music split is 50/50. I'm considering adding a second sub to the mix once funds allow for it.

8. I just bought a single Heresy off ebay ..... I noticed the craft paper that usually lines the speakers (at least in my cornwalls) was removed and the speaker is now filled with a stuffing like material. Should I make any changes to this? Matt

Matt, if it's a Heresy-I (made until late 1984) there should be no "stuffing". Heresy-II has a single piece of 1" thick open cell foam, the same width as the depth of the cabinet, folded over the woofer in an inverted "U". Some folks cannot tell any difference with or without that foam piece. If you have anything other than the foam piece described, then someone has put something in there. Hope that helps.

I'll have to experiment with or without the stuffing in there to see if I can tell the difference.
