  1. I'm looking to setup an HT system and was looking to buy an A/V receiver. I don't want to spend to much so I've been searching audiogon. I came across a Sony STR-Da7100es for $500 shipped to my address. Can anyone comment on this receiver? For this price, can I do better than this Sony?

    Thanks

  2. Well, having a great O-line, running backs, and incredible receivers helps a bit, ya think?

To be the best, you have to be able to take a shot to the face, shake off a concussion, wipe the blood off, get back into the huddle

I agree with DeanG, that's why I say Archie Manning
  3. I have an iGroove that my kids love to play with their iPod nano's. I have an iPhone that I was thinking about using with the iGroove but I heard that the iGroove could damage the iPhone. Has anyone heard this before, or know about this problem?

    Thanks,

  4. I have a friend that is excellent with wood working. I would like to have him build me a pair of La Scala speakers. Can someone tell me how many sheets of plywood I would need to build a pair? I plan on having them built out of Birch. Is there a certain type of Birch that Klipsch uses?

    Thanks,

  5. Hi,

I'm new to HT so please be gentle! I have a pair of Klipschorns, a pair of La Scalas, and a pair of Heresy's. The speakers are in different rooms of my home that I only listen to in two channel. All speakers are powered by <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Aragon 8008BB amps. I use a Juciy Music Peach with the Khorns and an Aragon Aurum with the La Scalas. The Heresy's also use an Aurum preamp. My question is, if I used the Khorns for fronts, the La Scalas for rears and a Heresy for a center, do you think a Sub will be necessary? I would use the Aragon amps to power the Khorns and La Scalas through the bypass switch on the Peach. Can anyone make any suggestions (under $750) on an A/V receiver? Also can anyone comment on what they think this setup would sound like?

    Thanks,

  6. Just wanted to share with you all that I just purchased a new Peach from Mark Deneen and all I can say is WOW!!! I am using an <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Aragon 8008BB amp with the Peach and it is truly amazing. (My speakers are La Scalas) I replaced my Aragon Aurum Preamp with the Peach and now I hear so much more detail. I can't say enough about the Peach and doing business with Mark Deneen, he is truly a great guy!! If there's anyone of you out there thinking about a Peach, think no more because you owe it to yourself to give it a try. You will not be disappointed!!

  7. Thanks very much for the advice! I will use just one of the Heresys for now as the center. I'm using La Scalas as the left and right and don't think I'll have the room for a La Scala center. I'm using Heresys for the rear.

Could I do better than the Heresy for a center channel?

I thought a read somewhere that someone was using (2) Heresys as a center and that's why I asked.

    Thanks,
