  1. I have two KW-120 Subs and one KA-1000 amp I'm thinking of selling. If interested e-mail me a mbrien@cox.net.
  2. I've never tried tubes before, therefore I would like to hear some suggestions on what tube gear I could try that would out perform my Aragon 8008BB Amp mated with my Aragon Aurum Pre-Amp. I am running the Aragon gear with LaScalas. With the suggestions, could you throw in dollar figures. Thanks,
  3. Before making your purchase, you should check out Samsungs newest DLP. AWESOME!!!
  4. Thanks for all the comments! I was just curious because it amazes me on how much money some people pay for power cords. I myself would take the money they pay for power cords and buy more KLIPSCH SPEAKERS!!!
  5. Can someone tell me if there is a REAL difference, and can you REALLY hear a difference between the power cord that is supplied with the audio equipment from the manufactor or the high dollar ones.

I think for starters I'll go with a phantom center, never heard of that before but I understand what you are saying. As for the Sub, I was planning on adding the dual KW-120-THX Subs w/KA-1000-THX amp to go with my LaScalas in 2 channel. This is really starting to look more and more like a win win situation for music and HT[] Now, for a line-level switcher. Can you give me some recommendations? I will post a photo of the front of my room where the TV is so that you can see what I have. Thanks,

DrWho, the reason that I'm not trying to integrate the two systems is because like I said earlier, "I don't have any HT experience. But, now that I'm starting to see the light alittle, how about if I use my Heresy's as rears using the Yamaha receiver with a line-level switcher so that I can use my LaScalas for music and movies. Then all I would need to get is a center speaker. How am I doing so for??? OK, if I go with this setup, what can I use as a good center? Thanks,

I have a Samsung 61" HL-R6178W DLP TV. This is the newest Samsung with the Gen-6 1080p Light Engine. (Awesome!!) It has all the lastest and greatest features with all the connections you can think of. Yes, the HT will be in the same room as my 2 channel system. FYI, my room size is 22' x 20' with 10' sealings. Do you think the Cinema 10 will be enough for my room size? After I get it all set up, I will post pictures of my 2 channel and HT. Thanks again,

Thanks DrWho, The Cinema 10 setup that I'm looking at has the RSX-5 satellites and the RCX-4 center with the RW-10 Sub. After reading your input, I went to the Best Buy web site (because I know they carry some of the Klipsch line) to see what they have for HT receivers. I found a Yamaha HTR-5830SL for $180.00. I really don't know anything about HT receivers and for that price not sure if it's worth buying. Here are the Product Features of the Yamaha. Please look it over and tell me what you think. -550 watts total power: 110 watts x 5 @ 8 ohms, 1kHz, 0.9% THD -Yamaha-exclusive Cinema DSP advanced surround sound decoder creates a rich, independent soundfield that will envelop you in an unmatched surround sound experience -Surround sound programs: Yamaha Quad-Field and Tri-Field DSP; Dolby Digital, Matrix 6.1, Pro Logic, Pro Logic II Music, Pro Logic II Movie; DTS and DTS Matrix 6.1 -Night Listening mode creates proper tonal balance and dynamic range when the volume is lowered -Silent Cinema mode lets you enjoy multichannel audio and video sound through headphones -Analog mixdown lets you enjoy 5.1 channel sound from only 4 speakers, as the center channel and subwoofer frequencies are mixed into the 2 front channels -32-bit YSS-948 DSP processor -AM/FM tuner with 40-station random access preset tuning -5-band center graphic equalizer -High-performance 192kHz/24-bit digital-to-analog conversion for all channels -THD (Total Harmonic Distortion): 0.06% @ 6 ohms -Inputs: 2 component video, 6-channel input, 2 optical digital audio, 1 coaxial digital audio, 2 stereo audio, 4 A/V. -Outputs: 1 component video, 1 stereo audio, 1 A/V, subwoofer, 1 composite monitor. Now remember this is just for watching movies as I have something for 2 channel. Thanks,

Ok, after much brain storming, I figure if I'm going to do something I'm gonna do it right the first time. I'm thinking about going with the Reference Cinema 10 setup. First off, can someone with some knowledge or experience with these speakers give me their input on them. Second, can someone recommend an HT receiver to match. Thanks,

Cal, I apologize for my comment to you. It's just that it's easy to get offended when the name Bose is mentioned. I guess I should have not mentioned Bose and just try to ask for input some other way. I started this thread because I have no experience in HT. I was only trying to get some input from you all experienced HT owners on something that is small like the Bloes 321. I'm not looking for something that sounds like a theater, but something that is small and has a nice surround sound. I definitly do not need convincing that Klipsch doesn't make crap. I've been a Heritage owner for the past 25 years when I purchased my first pair of Heresy's. Presently my system consist of: Aragon 8008BB amp Aragon Aurum Preamp Jolida JD-100 CD player Jolida JD-9A phono stage Technics SL-1200MK2 turntable Nakamichi Cassette player KLIPSCH LASCALAS Also, I still have my Heresy's and they sound as good as the day I bought them!! Thanks,

I figured some knuckle head like Cal Blacksmith would make a comment that I had my mind made up on the Bose system. If that were true, I would not have asked for help! It also seems to me that Cal did not understand from my original post that I meant what I said. The only thing that goes in my home is KLIPSCH!!!!!

What I'm looking for is something like the Bose 321 system that has only 2 speakers and a Sub for watching movies. I really don't want anything more, because I don't want to have to run cables. Bose also has what is called the CineMate. The difference between the 321 and the CineMate is that the 321 comes with a progressive scan DVD/CD player and AM/FM tuner where as the CineMate does not. The CineMate connects to a TV, DVD or VHS player via RCA cables. Thanks,

Can someone tell me if Klipsch has something in the Home Theater department that I'm not aware of, that is similiar to Bose's 321 system. The reason I ask, is because the only thing that goes in my home is KLIPSCH!!! Since I'm into 2 channel, I would like to have a small setup like the 321 system Bose has. Thanks,
  18. Well after MUCH review I have decided to get the KW-120-THX Subs. Since I have never owned a Sub before, can someone help me with a good starting point on the Sub settings. My setup is two channel with the follow components: -Aragon 8008BB amp -Aragon Aurum Preamp -Jolida JD-100 CD player -Jolida JD-9A phono stage -Technics SL-1200 MK2 turntable -Nakamichi BX-100 cassette player -KLIPSCH LASCALAS My room size is 22' X 20' with 10' sealings. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I will post photos of my setup when the Subs arrive. Thanks,

    RSW-15

Can someone tell me if the RSW-15 would be a good Sub in a two channel setup with LaScalas.
  20. Basically I would like to know if there would be MUCH difference with the Dual KW-120-THX Subs than the RSW-15 Sub. Budget is not a big factor, but if there's not a big difference I would like to save some money and just get the RSW-15 Sub. My room size is 20' x 20' and I listen to Rock-N-Roll, Jazz, Country, Oldies and Rhythm and Blues.
  21. I have a pair of LaScalas (2 channel stereo) and I would like to know if I would be MUCH better off with the KW-120-THX dual Subs or just going with one RSW-15. Thanks,
  22. Can someone recommend a site that offers custom shelving to place stereo components on. Thanks,
  23. Can anyone recommend a Klipsch Sub for 2 channel stereo with a pair of Heresy II speakers.
  24. Can someone tell me where I can purchase new rubber feet that I can place under my amplifier. The reason I ask, I just purchased a used amp that has two of the feet missing. Thanks,
