Time to muscle out the non power conference teams.

I've got a similar Gateway in my closet I haven't used for 10 years. I suppose I could pull it out if needed.
I'm changing professions and don't need to spend upgrade money yet.

Mine is a Dell 4600 from 2004 running XP - have never had an issue.

512 ram? memory
80GB - plenty of room
DVD burner
Haven't used IE in years - firefox
Avast - Malwarebytes etc.
My use is internet & light office program use.
Should I install SP3 while it's still available? Never updated because I read where some folks had problems.....figured if it ain't broke...

Well my wall still has battle scars....now covered by an oil painting. Never got mad it was my fault.
I'm doing fine thank you. Spent the last 3 years getting a real estate appraisal license. Rules & Regulations tripled after '08.
I've spent over $25,000 so far; so my audio testing has been put on hold. That's fine though....just listening & enjoying what I do have.
Hope you and Christy are doing well. Do you ever go back & read any old 2 channel threads with parrot, dragonfryer etc......good stuff.

No not at all, I look through and see what interest me to read, sometimes I post. I read a lot where I have never made a post because I'm not interested in doing any research to actually have a informed opinion, not crazy about debating but sometimes become informed just from reading. About as close as I come to resentment is when someone really, pushes one thing or idea over another as if it's fact when almost everything in this hobby is how it's personally perceived. I do really have a bad habit of being silly, and sending things off track, it tends to be more when a thread is dying off or slowing down, I tend to try to not do that if it's a serious discussion and good points are being made, I'd rather just stay out the way. Over the years I have gained a lot of respect for people here and have been lucky enough to meet in person many really good people.
Me too dtel, nicely said. That's really a nice way of saying i'm a dumbass.
