  1. I love them too ! But always like to improve things. It was an improvement to place the speaker with it's spikes on a marmer plate, and between this marmer plate and the floor I placed 4 squash balls. This uncoupled the speaker from the floor. The speaker is heavy enought to stand stable. I did not cut the squash balls into two halfs...( for my CD player for instance I used 4 half squash balls ) The improvement was a better sound image and a different bass. Less boomy.
  2. Well I did a few searches: Internal wires are colored, OFC. Horn is black instead of grey. According to the serial nr my CF-2's must be the first version. But the first version didn't have colored internal wires and a black horn ! So something is strange. I suggest that I have a "special" version ;-) That's why I finally shortened the ports and IMHO this can not go wrong anyway! .
  3. My Epic CF-2 speakers ( with in each one only one front fireing basreflex port...on the Klipsch website is still a wrong picture of this speaker, as they show a CF-3 ) has been modified at no costs at all ! I had the version with the 5" long porttubes. Later rev's had 2.5" The only thing I did was taken the ports out and got a woodsaw and shortened it at 2.5" length ! I also took out the foam that is behind the mid speaker. There were two parts of foam folden together behind this upper woofer ( for the mid freq.) and I left just one piece in there. I own this speakers for 8 years and these simple modifications were a big improvement IMHO
  4. I just bought a KSP-C6 to run with my CF-2's It's a great centerspeaker and this one works perfect in combination with the Epic CF-2 There's a wall of sound in front of me I never had before with HT and live music ! Great speaker. next move ......KSP S6 ?? hard to find here in Europe !
  5. you can find it on the Klipsch site. Use 'search' to quickly get to the correct product info.
  6. I'm planning to improve the interal wires of the Klispch CF-2 speakers. What are your suggestions. Silver to the horn I guess. Anybody out here who tweaked speaker's of the CF-x series ? Any information welcome. thnx
  7. Amazing I'd to scroll through 6 pages....no mension of these fantastic DVD's: Phil Collins, Live in Paris. Finally.....the first farewell tour. Great concert / sound / video Joe Cocker, Live in Berlin Furthermore I agree with the Eagles' HFO. As I can't play DTS decoded material, I've to listen in PCM mode which I prefer by the way when listening to music.
