Here are some photos. I looked it over carefully and only found a few light hairline scratches. Nothing through the finish and nothing you would see from more than a few feet away. If you need to see anything else, or anything better, let me know.

I was hoping to use a pair of them for a smaller second system. Used to run RF-7 mains, RC-7 center, RS-7 sides and the RB-75 as center rear. It was shortly after, that I removed the RB-75 from the system because I hated 6.1 surround. But I waited too long to search for the second RB and now it's impossible to find just one unless it's trashed. This one literally isn't even broken in yet!

Single Klipsch RB-75 speaker in basically new condition, black color. Only about 20 hours of use total as a rear surround in a 6.1 system, then safely stored away for several years. I am the original owner. Located in Southern California, about 45 minutes North of LA. I'd rather not ship for obvious reasons, so preference will be given to local buyers. SOLD

All items are from a non-smoking, no pets, no kids home. These speakers have no more than 20 hours of use on them and are in vitrually new condition. I foolishly disposed of the boxes thinking I would never be faced with selling them, but here we are. I do still have the manuals, etc. All speakers are black finish. RS-7: This is a pair, in virtually new condition. One is flawless, at least a 9/10 condition. The other has some very light blemishes that won't show in photos but if you're looking for them then you can see them in the right light, so I would call it an 8/10. Also a few scratches on the one metal bracket on the rear where you hang it from the wall. Both screens are flawless, as are cones and bezels. Sell for $450/pair RC-7: Also in beautiful condition, the pictures speak for themselves. The only blemishes I could find on this unit were on the bottom, and some tiny marks on the back near the Klipsch sticker. Sell for $550 Obviously I prefer local pickup and I will give priority to such. If I have to ship then I will do so at actual cost, and will insist on doing it the right way to avoid damage. I very much regret not saving the boxes. Also, I have a single RB-75 that I need a mate for. You won't be sorry. I listened to the RF35 and the RB75 both in the same demo room. The RB75 blew them away hands down. I was truly amazed, and found them so good that I almost bought the RB75 instead of the RF7!!! Note the "almost" in that sentence.

Plasma screens also have the problem of not being able to change native resolution. If you watch standard TV, they look like crap. In high def they look pretty nice, but not nice enough for me to give up my XBR 36".

Shadowtester, that's the kind of mount I'd like to use, but it's also the type the wife hates! Here's a photo looking at the rear of the room where this speaker will mount. It will be pointing in the general direction of the camera (it's a rear center).

There are two mounting holes on the bottom, but nothing on the back. Do people drill into these things? The thought is terrifying!

Hi all, I need to mount an RB-75 and need some input on the best way to do it. The speaker needs to mount with it's side, rather than it's back, against the wall. It needs to sit as flush as possible. Since there are no keyholes I thought of making a shelf, but that isn't going to work where I need it. So I need a mount that is as invisible as possible from the front of the speaker (to please the wife) but that can hold the speaker "sideways" like this. Any input greatly appreciated!

Forgive my lack of knowledge on this stuff, but by setting the channels + or -, aren't you essentially altering the power output for the channel in the same way as if there were seperate volume knobs for each channel? If this is true, then by lowering master volume from 0 to -10 and then raising a channel to +10, you're putting out the exact same power from the AVR to the speaker. With that logic and assuming I'm not already making an idiot of myself, what would be the point of calibrating at -25 instead of calibrating at zero and just raising or lowering the volume to achieve your desired db level? Of course I may have missed something in your post entirely.

The test tone defaults to zero on the AVR's master volume. I thought it was best to leave it there. Is it OK to lower the volume on the test tone to calibrate? Will that not throw off the reading on the volume display during normal use? Or does it not even matter? Lots of question marks in this post!

You're confused? Try going through it with my level of knowledge! The main thing at this point is to see how LITTLE of a sub I can get away with since the one I'm looking at is big enough to use as a bench... for two people. I'd rather get the next smaller model which has a cabinet at least 60% smaller overall, but the SVS rep is concerned with not having enough sub to keep up. Since we're on the edge of the two models, he's asking for real-life numbers from the room. Here's the data I sent him in my email a while ago, showing what the receiver's volume display says and what the SPL meter was recording at the listening position... Low volume: -35 to -25db (65 to 75db on SPL meter Typical volume: -20 to -25db (70 to 80 on SPL meter) Max occasional volume: -10db (80-85db on SPL meter) Scaring friends: -5db (85-90db on SPL meter)

I didn't realize you had to calculate for listening distance. How would you do that exactly? Is there a standard formula?

I'm using a Radio Shack analog meter. The sales rep at SVS already recommended the PB12-Plus/2 but we (read: my wife) are having issues with the massive size of that unit. So... I asked him if the standard 12 would work. That's where he wanted me to calibrate the system and report back. Btw, I'm in the San Fernando Valley about 25-30 miles north of LA on the 101. Just bought my first SPL meter and I'm hoping I've done this right. The guy selling me a sub needs to know the actual sound level I will be playing at so I measured just the three front speakers with the meter. Here's what I did... Turned on Denon's internal test tone Set meter to 70, C weighted, Slow response. Adjusted the three speaker levels until all three measured +5 on the meter, giving 75db overall. Now my two mains are set to -7 and the center to -3. Does that sound right, and am I safe to turn the volume to my expected max level and give the sub guy the reading from the front panel of my recevier? Looks like I'm not going over -10 according to the receiver now, which measures 85-90db on the SPL meter. When the speakers were set to 0 on the Denon, the same audio level was more like -25 on the panel. Thanks from a confused and clueless noob.

I considered the RSW-15 but everyone I've talked to is telling me that the SVS has far more performance than anything else in it's price range, including the RSW-15.

Wow, thanks for all the advise! Unfortunately I'm more confused than ever on which way to go. Anyone with a trained ear want to swing by for an hour? I'm going to pick up an SPL meter today as well as hook up the surrounds. I've been talking to the guys at SVS (who are very helpful btw) and he's telling me to get him the data once I've calibrated to see if maybe I can get a smaller unit.

Oh for the love of all things holy, have you seen the size of this sub?!?!? He dimensions are 19" Wide, 28" Deep (!) and 26.5" Tall (!!!). May as well put a piece of glass on top and use it for a dinner table! OK, I may be looking for a new sub. Either that or a divorce lawyer. :\

Show me one car company that is the same as when it started, except for Morgan of course. That doesn't mean their current product is bad, or even that it's worse than their previous products. You can't compare old technology to new, it's apples and oranges. What sounds good to my ear may not sound good to yours, but that doesn't make either of us right or wrong! What's my point? I dunno, it's late and I should be slee.............

Maybe I don't have mine set up right, but I don't get much punch from the bass when the sub is turned off. Or I'm just used to having a sub in the system.

I'm finally hooking up my new system, and all I can say so far is holy crap! This stuff sonds amazing and I'm more than happy. I'm glad I started visiting this site because I would have ended up with something disappointing, I'm sure, if it weren't for you guys showing me the light. Now a couple quick questions... I think I've decided on a SVS PB12-plus/2 Sub based on a couple recommendations. I've read that many people set their speakers to "Small" in order to let the sub handle what it's best at and free up the mains to do their thing as well. Does this pertain to something like the RF-7? Second, I'm running a Denon 1803 which I know is considered as underpowered for these speakers. However now that it's all hooked up without an external amp, I find that I will never run the volume above -15, possibly not even above -20. In this room a comfortable listening volume is between -25 and -40. Is an amp still recommended for improving sound quality? Any input appreciated, I'm trying to learn! Thanks all!
