  1. Do you already have F2s on the side or did you just put them there to show where you would be installing the new ones if you got them?

Is there any way you can move your couch over slightly to be able to put the F2 between the couch and the cabinet next to it?

And, while you're at it, may as well pick up another Sub-12 and get the F3s for $499 and move your current F2s to side surrounds. You know you want to!! [:D]

  2. PS3 has 0 delay on layer SD layer changes, no issues that I've encountered with SD or Blu-Ray discs, incredibly fast load times, completely upgradeable to all future Blu-Ray firmware versions. If you're ok with spending around $300 for a player you should seriously consider getting one.

  3. I just bought a pair of Cornwalls at a yardsale for $10. Is that a good deal?

I saw Klipsch on the grills and said how much you want. He said for $10 he would put them in the car. I really didn't know anything about them other than remembering the name as something that was out of my reach in high-school. From what I've read here, I think I might have gotten a pretty good deal. And I'm almost certain that they are not stolen, just more victims of a broken marriage.

I'm not even sure these are a pair because the components are different. Here's what I've got: SN: 136X856 Type E Balancing Network, K77M Tweeter, K55M Mid-range and K22E woofer. SN: 146X865 Type E2 Balancing Network, K77M Tweeter, K52H Mid-range and K22R Woofer.

Are these differences significant or by design? Where can I find troubleshooting help for the balancing circuits? Where do I go from here? To buy a lottery ticket? I'd sure appreciate some help.

Seriously though, if anyone can show a legitmate claim of ownership for these such as a police report of them being stolen, I'll return them for the cost of shipping plus my $10.

I think the only one who stole anything was you! $10 for Cornwalls, man I need to start going to yard sales!! You should have told him that you'd load them in the car yourself - he probably would have given them to you for free!

As far as the networks/drivers are concerned: The X in the serial number indicates they were both made in 1982. To me it appears that you have Heresy networks?? I'm looking at this link: http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/p/103886/1048788.aspx#1048788 that helps decode networks/drivers/veneer material/etc. and it lists the Type E network as being for the Heresy.

In any event it looks like you might have a set of speakers that may have had some damaged components that were replaced at some point. It wouldn't be too hard to replace the drivers so that they matched each other and also the networks. I'd suggest you contact Bob Crites (BEC) on here - his website is http://www.critesspeakers.com.

Also, welcome to the forums and post some pics of the new speakers!

  4. Its always good to hear experiences like that, especially in today's retail world. I've worked retail in a jewelry store for over 11 years and we always get people praising our store and saying that they love shopping with us because we take each person seriously and have fun showing them around whether they're just killing time or seriously looking.

"Expect that each person coming in is buying today" is the philosophy I live by. By that I don't mean that I'm pressuring each person who comes in to leave with something, but rather that I give each person coming in my full attention and assistance. You'd be surprised how many times someone has come in in raggedy clothes only to leave with a $10,000+ Rolex or diamond ring.

  5. I know iTunes offers higher quality downloads compared to what they used to be ripped at. I'm not sure if they're considered lossless or not but my wife mentioned that to me the other day since she's on there almost every day. They're slightly more expensive than the regular bitrate songs.

  6. A guy where my brother used to work got fired and since he kind of knew it was coming placed a 'time bomb' in the computer networks. Ended up screwing up the entire computer system big-time. Luckily my brother was able to figure out how to fix it and also found that the time bomb was added to the computer system on the same day that the guy was warned that he might be fired. I don't know what the guy was charged with but I know he got jail time and a large fine.

  7. Hmm, I wouldn't think an RC-35 would ever sound muffled in any sense of the term. Do you by chance have the negative and positive cables switched around that that speaker accidentally?

The RC-35 is going to be a better match sonically than the RCX-4.

Take a picture of your setup so we can see what you're working with as far as how high or low your RC-35 is sitting, etc.
