  1. I was thinking of buying it. Are the graphics better than 3, and do they still have the cool rally racing in it?

Gran Turismo 4 has way better graphics than Grand Turismo 3. In my opinion I believe that GT4 has better graphics than Need For Speed Underground 2. Yes, you can even rally race in the snow.[:D]

  2. I'm in the process of purchasing a new home theater system for my new house that is under construction.

These are the speakers that I was planning on buying...

    Fronts: Pair of RB15

    Rears: Pair of RCR3

    Middle: Pair of RCR3

    Center: RC25

    Subwoofer: RW10

I am also planning on placing HS-1 out by the pool....

    Couple of questions....

    1) Is this better than average setup for Home Theater System? Is it the right setup for someont that spends 75% movies, and 25% music?

    2) What receiver would you recommend to get the most out of this 7.1 speaker selection?

    Thanks in advance....

    1. Way better than my setup. [:(]

    2. In my opinion I would recommend onkyo, harman kardon, and Denon for receivers.

  3. I am curious on how you deal with neighbors when you crank up the sound level. I gave up on my La Scalas and went to the dark side. JBL 2245s in 828s with 515s and 1005s above that. Needless to say, I have ample clean dBs. I am fortunate in that my wife and I occupy two houses (side by side), but she complains about the sound level. My tenants, next door and the people across the street dont complain at all. My favorite listening level is in the range of 100 dB. What do you locals have to say?

That sucks, I listen to my music at 115-126 dB. In my opinion try and talk to your neighbors in a time schedule.

    >>>But, unfortunately, can be outdone by nearly any of the above for less $<<<

Actually, all of the above subs are more expensive than the RW-12, near as I can tell... Except the snap-together Dayton and Klipsch's own Sub-12. I've not yet heard an Sub-12 and can't comment as to whether it "beats" the RW-12. As for the others? Some are very good indeed, but you seem to have a very poor opinion of the RW-12.

I own an RW-12 and it has great bass, beats my sony subwoofer any day.

Been searching for suitable subwoofer drivers lately, but keep coming back to this ( relatively ) inexpensive Infinity 12" subwoofer, designed for car audio. Certainly has potential, it has a much higher BL2/Re than the 10" JBL drivers that I have now, more Sd and also more x-max. Fs is ok at 27.27 hz.

Using unibox and also Win-ISD, I come up with a 4.2 cubic foot box tuned to 22 hz, for one driver. Port 6" x 32". ( Win-ISD is giving a different measurement than unibox ). -3 db at 20 hz ( roughly)

Maximum power handling about 200 watts, coming close to 97% of x-max ( lose 3% in a downfire application ) The best part? $ 225 cdn+ tax a pair, just down the street for a limited time.

How much do you want to spend on a caraudio subwoofer? I know some great brands with lots of watts.

  6. Wow! everyone on this forum has a nice hometheater system and a Clean Room except mines.8.gif The only hometheater system that I am running is in my bedroom. It is the Panasonic hometheater system with a Rw-12 klipsch subwoofer. It will sound a lot better in a living room or my entertainment room downstairs. Im still searching for a Klipsch system that is small. Still, hesitating for a quintet system or RSX-4x5 and RCX-4 the RW-12 I already have, I wish we had more space in our house.

My set up:Front and Rear speakers are Ksf 8.5

    Central Ksf C5

Which subwoofer will work better with this set up: KSW-12 or KSW-200?

    ----------------

In my opinion I would go with the KSW-12, but try and test out also the new Sub-12.

  8. ----------------

My current setup consists of a 15" Definitive Technology powered sub connected via high level inputs and RF-25s for the mains. I'm thinking of adding a second smaller sub to even out the bass response in the room and a slightly smaller sub that's tighter and less boomy.

I've seen several subs on eBay, both from the Synergy and Reference Series. I don't necessarily need to get a Klipsch sub, though. Would adding a 10" powered sub make a noticeable difference in sound?

    Thanks!

    ----------------

How big is your room? "Would adding a 10" powered sub make a noticeable difference in sound?" If im correct you have the PF15TL+ definitive subwoofer right? The sound difference in my opinion is the loudness, SQ, air pressure. Since you have the "RF-25" an RW-10 would match the woofer cones just like your speakers.9.gif Try and test the sub-10, rw-10, rsw-10 for the SQ.

Here is cost about $2000 to get a decent setup in your car, with average sound, may be Alpine or similar brand that are Ipod ready. I'm sure the sound could even be better than a lot of the car speaker that's availble out there.

Then it would be Klipch everywhere, even in my car

    ----------------

Hmm, wow I have never thought of that. As for the SQ any great home audio speakers can beat caraudio in SQ, even the top of the line caraudio speakers in my opinion. I think people sometimes spend $2000 for loud sound. Then again in my opinion caraudio has louder subwoofers with more watts than any homeaudio subwoofer.

what do you guys think about this? for the money I mean... obviously, you could get a lot better sub, but what about this on a budget?

    ----------------

For a $138.60 150 watt 12" subwoofer is not bad for the price I guess. I have seen other 12" subwoofers like ex. the sony at bestbuy runs for $199 and runs 150 watts.
