I have a used Rotel amplifier that also stunk of cigarette smoke. Had it sitting outside for several hours. Still stunk. Used a tire pump and gently blew air through it. Still stunk. Put a solid air freshener next to it in an enclosed stereo rack. Still has an odor, not offensive. Doesn't smell clean...after 1.5 months. Amplifier works great. Maybe with time it will smell better. I suspect it has a thin layer of tar on everything.
I had a patient whose walker was a gold color (normally they are made of aluminum). Wiped off the tar and had the aluminum color back. Heavy smoker.

About 7 months ago I had the opportunity to compare Gladiator on DVD to a HDNET broadcast in 1080i (might have been TBS around the time of the NCAA basketball finals). I was hard pressed to tell the difference. I swapped back and forth between the 480p (Denon DVD-2200) and the broadcast version. It sounded different (the broadcast)...less dynamic maybe, not drastic. Picture quality was very close, in fact my friends could not tell which was which (I knew since the DVD had the small black bars and the broadcast version was 16:9). I saw some subtle "twinkling" of color in the dark scenes backgrounds. I was using a Mitsubishi WD-62725.

Let's see...991 miles, 20 miles to the gallon, round trip, $3.10 a gallon for gas...
(991*2)/20*3.1=$307.10, plus two days driving...no [:'(]

If they were in Dallas, Texas I'd be on them. With gas prices now...ouch!

I was able to get a pair of black Heresy II's (1989 vintage) that matched my Legends. Wow! They sound great...Dark Side of the Moon SACD...very nice. U-571 (DTS)...outstanding.

Looks like KLF 30/20/10 for the rears is the best idea I have heard. I see some on E-bay that have potential. Thanks.

I have KLF-30's, using large Advents for rear surrounds. Would the RS-7's be the best match? Other options?
