Hey Billy, Hope everything is going well in Charleston for you. Columbia is about the same. I can't believe football season is half over. I got the 30's from another forum member in Rome, GA. about 3 weeks ago. They were light oak and I had them refinished in black satin. They turned out great and sound wonderful. I now now what you were talking about in having a 100% Legend system. Now all I need is a good 5 channel amp to complete the system. I wouldn't mine keeping the Rotel 1080 if I could find a good 3 channel 200 wpc amp that would complement the 1080. I'm currently using an Adcom 200 wpc for the center and 100 wpc for the surrounds. I'm considering a Sunfire Grand Cinema 5X200. Any thoughts? Gary

I read a review that stated the .5% distortion caused fatique after listening for an extended length of time. Has anyone had this problem? Also, it said the amp tended to be bright when using them with horn loaded speakers. ,5% seems pretty high compared to other 5 channel amps. I keep reading on the forum that Sunfire is a good fit with Klipsch speakers. I would be using the amp in a 5:1 system with all KLF 30's and a C7 for the center. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

I went to the Sherbourn website and they are recommending what seems like a huge area for proper ventilation. Does this unit get that hot? I would have to place it in a cabinet that has adequate ventilation for the Rotel & Adcom gear that I'm currently using. By the way, how old is the unit?

Carl, I'm just trying to consolidate without sacrificing quality. I'm currently running 3 amps too in my 5.1 setup. The 1080 and two Adcom amps. I'm leaning to adding a 3 channel 200 wpc amp. What are your thoughts on the Rotel 1066 with 150 wpc? Would I notice a difference by having 50 wpc less running the center channel? I'll check out the Sherbourn. I've never heard a Sherbourn or Sunfire amp. The Sunfire seems to get rave reviews with Klipsch. I would really like to hear from someone that has used it with the Legend series. Gary

I was going to go with the 1095 until I spoke with a tech at Rotel and he said that the 1080 was far superior to the 1095. He suggested that I get a 1066 to complement the 1080. I have always thought I needed to have the same wpc across the front channels. The 1066 can be bridged to 150 wpc. I don't know if the 150 wpc versus the 200 for the center would make any noticeable difference.

I just completed my HT with all KLF 30's and a KLF C-7 as the center channel. I'm looking for recommendations on a 5 channel 200wpc amp. I'm currently using a Rotel RMB 1080 for the front speakers and Adcom for the rest. I would appreciate any thoughts or recommendations.

They are great speakers. I just bought another pair of KLF 30's to complete my Legend HT system. I now have (4) KLF 30's and a KLF C-7 for a center. I hate to get rid of the Forte II's, but I have no place to use them.

In response to the amp. I have used an Adcom 5500 and currently a Rotel 1080. Both of these amps are rated at 200 wpc. In my opinion, the Rotel is far superior and can be bought on audiogon for around $600 used. You would not be disappointed.

Thanks. I contacted the seller and he is firm on his price of $1,350. That's high considering the last couple of 1095's sold on audiogon between $900 - $1,100 plus shipping. I'm in no rush. I have a 1080 and love it. I wish Rotel made a 3 channel 1080

It depends on how you are using them. As surrounds, they need to be up off the floor. As mains, I left them on the floor. When using them in conjunction with a good subwoofer, I set all speakers to small with the crossover at 80hz and let the sub handle all of the lows.

I use mine as surrounds on 10-12 inch speaker stands and they do a good job. I have them facing each other just slightly behind the listening position. I'm trying to find a pair of klf 20's or 30's to replace them in order to match my klf 30 main's. Some people have told me that I won't hear any difference. The Forte II's are great speakers. Enjoy

Carl, I agree with you on the performance of the new 12.3 drivers. I installed them in my PB12-Plus/2 over the weekend and was amazed at the difference in the mid-bass and low end bass during music on CD's and concert DVD's. Great upgrade from SVS. I don't know what I am going to do with the old 12.2 drivers.
