Al,
I have a question. What do you mean by improper values in the original AA-xovers?
Was it created with a defect from the begining? Or have you and or Dean created
or discovered a better value? Please explain, thanks.
Jay

Craig,
thanks for the tip. Jay
-
What would be considered to small?
-
Craig, my mistake I did mean 299. As it turns out he informs me that it indeed is a 299b.
Also says it's all original no mods, ready to plug and play. I guess I will check it out as is
for a while, and go from there. Thanks for your imput. Jay

Craig,
I am not 100% sure but i think it is a 229a. I will know more tonight, He says it's 100%.
It may be coming to you. thanks Jay.

I am looking at getting one of these to go with my k-horns, both are nice 7/10 about the same money.
Any thoughts or concerns? This will be my first tube set up.
-
If i'm not mistaken that would be 1977.
-
I have a pair 77 k-horns KC-BB and it means black birch #40 black sheen laquer.

Does anyone have an opinion on the Dared intergrated amps?
-
The pop was not very loud, but loud enough to hear during a low musical passage.
As i stated before i was enjoying a cd when all of a sudden pop from the right channel.
It did not affect the music or the system, everything kept right on playing and it has not
happened again. Would this happen if a cap. went bad in maybe the power amp or
the x-overs in my speakers.
-
Yesterday while listening to a cd i heard a pop out of one side of my system. It does not seem to have
affected anything that i can tell so far. Does anyone have any clues as to what may have caused this.
Is it possible that the cd itself could have caused this?

dbflash,
could you clear up a little on what you wrote, I am a bit confused as to what you are trying to say.
Thanks.

thanks for the tip.
-
Jeff,
Do you remember what kind of pre-amp?
-
Jeff,
You are telling me that a tube pre-amp is going to give me of a tube sound than a tube amp.
-
Meaning what?
-
No, i will not be using this with the SS gear. My budget is in the $500-$1000 range. I am going to tubes for this.
-
I need some info on tube cd's, which ones do you guy's recomend and which ones to stay away from.
-
What do you have now in place of the mono blocks?
-
I am considering a Decware Taboo, 6 wpc SEP.
-
Does anyone on this forum know anything about Decware amps? Or does anyone have some of this gear?
-
Can someone help me? where is a good starting point for a 10in. sub to blend in with k-horns?
A little guidence please.
-
Which set up is going to sound better? SS pre-amp with a Tube amp, or Tube pre-amp with a SS amp?
-
That's by far and away the best and most straight forward explaination on types of tubes I've seen so far,
thanks for the details.
