The floorstanders, RF-25, have 6.5" woofers, as opposed to the rf-52 which are 5.25" woofers. I'd go with the 25's for that price, jdgr.

Stack, You don't have to set the receiver to use the preouts. Just plug the RCA's into the back of the receiver and it all happens by magic.
-
Another thing, Youthman,
if your Line Level (RCA) connections are problematic, try your Speaker Level ( speaker wire) connections.
-
Youthman, Call Velodyne and see what a new amp for that sub costs. $250-$390??
If that subwoofer is functional, it's an impressive theater/musical loudspeaker! A new /refurb amp from Velodyne would have warranty.
And viable connections. Good luck.

I use a velodyne DD-15 with my la scalas and I think it is spectacular.

Purple Haze by the Cure
Third Stone from the Sun by Pat Metheny Both from the Stonefree Hendrix tribute album.
Earl Grey from Fleetwood Mac's Kilnhouse
-
I meant to say,
Oh Well by Fleetwood Mac on Then Play On
and Cortez the Killer by Neil Young on Zuma
Not full instrumentals, but mostly.
-
Rock instrumentals are few and far between. if you can accept limited vocals, the following would fit nicely onto your cds.
Oh, well

I have an LCD front projector, the (Panasonic PT-ae700u) and I've been experiencing problems.
The projector has probably got too much dust buildup in it and is exhibiting a blue cloud visible on
a large portion of the right side of the projected image. Does anyone know how I would proceed
to get this cleaned out?- Or, does anybody have a better idea what the problem may be?
Thanks for any help you could give.

FM:
Great speakers. I have a pair of cherry and a pair of black. I'd use something with a minimum of 100 wpc.

The Synergy Sub-12

Try your "speakers" button on the front of the receiver. Make sure it's on the correct setting of " A /B / or OFF" It could be on B or OFF.
-
Are you using a receiver, Robelero and if so, which one?
-
This sampler has a version of that that literally blew me away earlier this week!

[ Joe Vitale and Kenny Passarelli were in Joe Walsh's band Barnstorm in the 70s. I saw the band a couple of times at the El Mocambo in Toronto and they were really good. And so was Joe, of course! ]
Yes! The Barnstorm album, The Smoker You Drink the Player You Get, and So What are great albums. What a Band!

[and some Italian guy on bass]
Kenny Passarelli ??

That's great news, Daryl.
I'll keep my eyes open for you.
You're going to love 'em !

Travis,
On mine the set on the left says L.F. and the one on the right says H.F.
These stand for low frequency and high frequency.
-
Joe Satriani, "Surfing with the Alien" I''ve got this on vinyl. Haven't listened to it in two decades, though.
Joe Walsh, "So What" Great recorded rock guitar, both acoustic and electric.
Freddie King, "The Ultimate Collection"
The great Jeff Healey, "Cover to Cover"

Right here, Amigo.
I call my RF-7's, Paige and Eller
because they stand tall and wide at the shoulder,
and they are purple people-eaters.

Yes, it was me that won the La Scalas in question.
I'm very excited because I knew I would someday have Heritage, but not this soon.
Having been a Reference guy up til now, I'm looking forward to the sound !
What is the movie star story behind these? I only know what was on the item description.

So, congrats to the lucky(?) winner.
Thanks.........Bidder 7(?)

Don't give up on your HGS, yet.
Talk to a guy named Pete at Velodyne. You can get the customer service # at Velodyne.com.
A refurb amp can cost as little as $200-$300.
Good luck.
