  1. Thats what I thought... I am glad I didn't get carried away... ------------------ wired1@ameritech.net
  2. All, To everyone that has heard me rant and rave... I contacted the dealer where I ordered my LaScallas and the salesman is on vacation!!! Anyway, I spoke with another salesman about my problem and wanted to know if he heard of anything or had any other inside information... He looked in in the computer and said he had an ETA of Sept 7th...????? I must have looked completely dumbfounded because the guy looked at me goofy and said that the ETA shows Sept 7. I questioned him several times and couldn't believe it. I wonder if this is a goof up or Klipsch is actually getting the product lines out...????? ------------------ wired1@ameritech.net
  3. After reading the last post, I called my dealer and told him exactly what the post said. I told him to call their rep and put the pressure on.... He said he would get back to me... ------------------ wired1@ameritech.net
  4. BobG, Again, let me state that I had no intention of accusing you of holding back information. I simply thought that information was not being made aware to you. Now, you say that you are still making progress with the drivers... Does this mean that you are still looking for a company to provide them? Are you manufacturing them yourselves? Are you designing them specifically for the Heritage line (so it is still on the drawing board)? I would simply like to know how far along the process is...? ------------------ wired1@ameritech.net
  5. JoshT, I never construed anything anyone said as being insensitive or negative. I do not blame anything on the Admins (BobG)because I do believe that they are fourthcoming with everything they know. I guess that I am pretty pissed because I paid for the speakers and nobody has said anything about "progress" Klipsch has made regarding the speakers I paid for but haven't received. I am going to see the dealer and try get my $ back but I was told that it was a special order which was non-refundable. In any case (being more politically correct), Klipsch should have made more information available to the web masters to make available to clients or potential clients through the web sites. No matter how you cut it... It's bad business... ------------------ wired1@ameritech.net
  6. JoshT, How can you say that the message hasn't been cryptic? In one breath he tells us that they are making progress but nothing is definite..? Actually, it seems as if the Web Masters aren't getting all the info and they are passing on what their told. I am not accusing them of any wrong doings - it is simply coming from above. In any case, customers waiting for merchandice since January have the best gripes with Klipsch. I simply want an answer - what is going on and when are the products expected to ship? I don't want speculation or any BS. Considering I already paid for the speakers, I believe I (and everyone else who is waiting for speakers) have a right to those answers. ------------------ wired1@ameritech.net
  7. Tony Adams, Awesome post. I couldn't agree with you more. JoshT, I have tried to get my money back and the dealer told me the order has already been processed. If you don't think that Klipsch has been cryptic, read the following quotation from BobG's post: "All I can tell you for certain is there is no firm schedule. Progress continues but anybody who quotes you firm ship dates is misinformed or making it up." If you don't think that's cryptic your smokin crack. What does progress continues mean????? ------------------ wired1@ameritech.net
  8. JoshT, When I first ordered the speakers I was told their may be a 6-8 week delay because the speakers are built to order. I was concerned about the length of time but they told me that it was normal for Klipsch speakers. They never mentioned any problem Klipsch was having getting components for the speakers. The dealer told me that it was a special order and non-refundable. They were very up-front regarding this and I agreed. This problem is not the fault of the dealer but Klipsch. Again, if Klipsch was unable to produce a product they should not have been accepting orders. Other posts on this site indicate people have been waiting longer than me and this is why I believe that Klipsch has faulted. Regardless of my situation, Klipsch has not been fourthcoming regarding information and have been "cryptic" at best with information. Even the Web Admin said that they are progressing but nothing is definite. What the hell does that mean???? I have been a musician for a long time and dealt a great deal in this industry. I'm telling you that the way Klipsch is dealing with this is outright bad. ------------------ wired1@ameritech.net
  9. JoshT Let me tell you that I'm pretty pissed about this whole thing. I have every right in the world to bash Klipsch because they have done a crappy job in keeping customers informed and making product available. While the moderators have nothing to do with the politics of Klipsch, I have never directly accused them of any wrong doings. It is true that the Klipsch Heritage line rocks but I have not seen ANY posting on this website alerting customers to production problems with their speakers. I guess that the Web Admins could be held responsible for that..? Anyway, if Klipsch was unable to fulfill orders due to production problems, THEY SHOULDN'T BE TAKING ANY NEW ORDERS!!!!! To take orders and make customers wait is terrible. I never knew that it was going to take this long to get the speakers and I never would have placed the order if I had known it would take this long. I can't get my money back from the dealer either because this is a special order and they make that known when ordering. Obviously, the dealer is not to blame, the Web Admins are not to blame... Who is to blame????? It is truly unfortunate to every Klipsch customer that has been waiting for a product they probably paid for but never got. Terrible, terrible customer service.... ------------------ wired1@ameritech.net
  10. BobG, Why is it that no information has been divulged to the public regarding the "progress" of the Heritage line? I am not kidding when I say that Klipsch has done the absolute worst job of keeping their clients (and potential customers) informed about products they wish to sell. Usually, companies that treat their customers like "annoyances" die slowly or simply go out of business. I am sick and tired of not getting information and getting the run-around when asking about something that I already purchased but didn't receive. I even took a gamble at buying the damn LaScallas without hearing them for over 10 years because no one carries them!!! On top of that... Now that I am pissed off... Where the hell is my "free present" for helping with the web site??? I haven't heard a word or received anything!!!! ------------------ wired1@ameritech.net
  11. Anyone have any info on when the Heritage line will ship again? I think it's pretty crappy that they sell products and never give any information regarding availability. I have waited 3 months now for my LaScallas and the dealer told me he hasn't heard a word about when they are shipping again. The only reason I haven't canceled my order is because the Heritage series rocks, but my patience is wearing thin. If it doesn't ship soon, I'l cancel my order and get a pair of commercial JBL's instead. http://www.jblpro.com/ Check out the TR225's! WTF???Text ------------------ wired1@ameritech.net
  12. Not to rain on your parade but that room is WAY to small for all that equipment!!! Sure, it's nice to have all that stuff but the room looks cluttered and the living room seems like a big movie theater thats too small! The rear speakers are WAY to big for the size of the room and not proportional to the listeners seating position. I'm a bass player and listen to loud music all the time but home theaters that are as loud as yours become annoying and tiresome after a while... ------------------ wired1@ameritech.net
  13. I bought a Monster HTS5000 for my stereo and can't really say I notice a difference. My equipment: Krell KAV-250a Krell KAV-250p Sony S7700 DVD/CD (CD Only) Monster HTS5000 Line Conditioner Klipsch LaScallas (Whenever they ship!!!) The only thing I can tell you is that I NEVER worry about my stereo when we have lightning storms. ------------------ wired1@ameritech.net
  14. Any word on when the Heritage line will be shipping again??? ------------------ wired1@ameritech.net
  15. I'd really like to know if anyone heard anything about the Heritage line shipping again. I understand they found a supplier for the horns but are they shipping? ------------------ wired1@ameritech.net
  16. All, Well, it's amazing how much better the new web site is!!! Their is so much more content than their was before and navigating is MUCH better!!! The change is way past due!!! AWESOME!!! PS... Now when am I going to get my new LaScallas?
  17. BobG, Its seems very awkward that the products will be released so soon and their is nothing on them. Seems pretty weird to only advertise when the products are released. There is usually some type of promotion regarding new products by any company to build anticipation...?
  18. Easy for you to say!!!! It really blows cause I have to wait months for my LaScallas so I am eager to get more info on the sub. My dealer didn't know much about it but he said it was supposed to be pretty nice. I have a strong feeling that I may get the 15" without even listening to it (although Im sure I will first).
  19. Thanx for the post. That is definately some good info although I would like more!!! Does anyone know if their have been any reviews on any of these subs yet? I am DEFINATELY interested in the 15" so maybe I'll ask my dealer about it. The main question I have is how musical is it. Again, I am worried about it keeping up with fast music. Thanx guys!
  20. John, Im curious... I have heard nothing about the new Klipsch 15" sub and would like info on it. Do you know where I could get some? Also, since Im a bass player, I have a firm belief that the louder you play, the bigger the speaker needs to be. I know this is VERY subjective but this is totally true for a bass player live on stage. I have a cabinet (SWR Goliath Senior) with 6 10's and a horn. Live, the soundman couldn't believe how awesome my sound was but I was unhappy with the "feeling" of the bass at loud levels. I have a cabinet with 2 10's and 2 18's and NEVER have that problem. Anyway, what I am getting at is the fact that I believe that I would want at least a 12" or 15" sub. The only think I am worried about is if it can "keep up" with al the music I like to play. An honest opinion would be awesome.... Thanx!!!
  21. I am in the process of purchasing a pair of LaScallas and would like to look into a sub. The question is... Which one??? I posted another topic in another room and said I was told to look into REL. The guys in the room said that REL wont keep up with LaScallas and should look into something else. Keep in mind thatthis is a home stereo - not a theater so I need a fast, loud, tight sub for about $2k. Thanx!
  22. My girlfriend/fiancee told me to go out and buy my stereo! We just got engaged so I thought I would have to start saving money for the wedding. When I asked her why I should go buy the stereo she said "You have wanted the stereo longer than you wanted me!" Now, I am about $11k in the hole and counting

  24. John, I dont know about 2 or 4 of them... Why would you say 2 or 4 of them?!?!? Are you unfamiliar with REL?? That is WAY overkill for ANY system! Even the K-Horns could use a 15" sub but which brand? The REL is supposed to be a great sub but I am new to subs and am not sure which to get. I will probably spend about $2K (hopefully less) and want a QUALITY sub. The Klipsch sub's havent gotten good reviews so they may be out. AGain, this whole system is brand new and I wand LOUD & CLEAR! Tell me what you think (remember it is a stereo not a theater): Krell KAV-250p Krell KAV-250a Sony DVP-S7700 Monster HTS5000 LaScallas (hopefully soon ) Sub?
  25. BobG.... Post 1660 was the kind of post that should have originally been posted. It was clear, concise and answered ALL the questions in my previous posts. I have 2 follow up questions... 1) You basically said the price was "out-of-whack". Does this mean the price will go up or down? 2) If the REL doesn't cut it for the LaScallas as a sub (in your opinion), what brand would you recommend??? Again, I am making a home stereo - not a theater.
