  1. I have been trying to find a well built (solid wood) ent. center that has room for a big center channel (22"x9"x 13") and possibly upgradeable. What do you guys use?
  2. Yeah thanks Marshall! Well at least I have someone to blame it all on. Bob should have my crossovers tomorrow, I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas!
  3. I finally picked up some 1978 Cornwall's on Sunday. I have been looking for a few weeks. Three hour drive each way to get them and they just barely fit into the Honda Accord. I had to use a bungy on the trunk lid. I sent the crossovers to Bob today for him to go over, and will be getting some replacement tweeters. They sounded like something was missing and I hope the crossover update and replacement tweeters get them where they need to be. Also missing one dust cap on one woofer. Cabinets were in decent shape. One of the grills could use to be redone, so I guess I will doing both of them. If anyone has any grill cloth or knows of a place to purchase it please let me know. These things are huge! My 14 year old daughter told me they look old. I like the looks very much. The wait was long to purchase these, now the wait is going to seem forever before I get my crossovers back. I have been emailing Bob and Marshall about issues we these and would like to thank them both for their help. Also thanks to Chris.
  4. I have the Yamaha HTR-5960 from what I have read is basically the same receiver. I have had it about three weeks now. So far I am pleased with it. I bought it at Best Buy on sale for $399. So at that price I think it is a bargain. At the $499 price I might look and see what else is available. I originally purchased the Onkyo TXSR-504 (I hope that's correct) because I have an old Onkyo amp that is about 30 years old and is still great, but I didn't care for it. The Yammie is much better.
  5. Thanks for the heads up, I have an appointment to see them.
  6. I'm still looking, unfortunately I did not get these. Hopefully something will show up.
  7. This is not fair. This is just not right. I do not have any Klipsch at all and you have all of those. I have been looking high and low for some vintage Cornwalls, I might have to go the Heresys route. BTW they sure look nice!
  8. Somebody with Cornwalls should buy these and sell me there Cornwalls!
  9. I have been scouring the net and locally for some vintage Cornwalls. I just happened to look in the W.P.Beach classifieds and there was a pair for $450, then I noticed the date of the ad was one week old, of course they were long gone. I'm trying to be patient but it is so hard.
  10. I recently got my appetite wetted for some Klipsch speakers. I have always liked the sound and the looks of the vintage models. Looking for a vintage pair of Cornwalls, I reside in S. Florida. I recently had the pleasure of hearing some fantastic Klipschorns and Lascala and Heresy all at one persons home, I was very envious. I would really like to have some Klipschorn speakers but that will have to wait for now. I have been reading with great interest on the forum, this seems very addicting. Thanks in advance.
