I'm in the market for a new receiver also.I currently have a Pioneer Elite VSX-36TX it's about 7-8 years old.I mainly use it for ht/music 70/30 ratio.It doesn't sound to impressive when I watch HD tv or dvd's.I'm leaning towards a Marantz SR7500 $549.99 or SR8500 $699.99 Denon AVR-2807 $699.98 or AVR-3806 $769.98.

Well I have been with Directv for 8-10 years.Took about a year and half off when where having a house built and was so busy moving,buying furniture,etc,etc...Anyway what few problems I had with Direct always gets resolved when I call retention.I don't bother calling the regular customer service number anymore.I knew Direct just launched a new satellite Friday to offer more hd content.They have agreements in place with most of them.Sometime in September they are supposedly adding up 25 more HD channels if all goes well with the new satellite.If the Liberty Media take over of Directv is succesful there will be more changes hopefully TiVO.I only had 1 experience with Dish and that's because my mom had it.Anyway it was loosing channels and I called Dish,I was told to climb on my moms roof and tighten the Dish.No,No I have never had to re tighten,adjust or otherwise from Directv.All of my issues with Directv ends with me receiving credits.Something always look better until you try it first hand.There's Dish subs who love it and never had problems with it at all,same for Direct and cable cos. too.And there are some who despise one of the 3 regardless wether it's minor or major.

The best way to get around that is to have them pack them for you.Because the post office will not honor insurance claims either.

Diehards,enthuisists and anyone who appreciates the physical media.It's bad enough MP3's are supposedly gonna replace cd's now microsoft beleives hd downloadable movies are the way to go.Maybe in 20 years when computers and high speed are the norm.As is it will not happen.

Neither format was really pushed.Both of these are getting a light push but not a heavy one.

How much that run?So the only thing that probably plays that my HD-XA1 don't are SACD and DVD-A.For $349 I got one great upconverter that play my current cds and dvd's plus the sound rivals high end cd players.

On the Klipsch site they have the KSC-C1 as a matching product for a center channel.I'm in a similar dilemma.I have the KG 5.5 and can't find a center to match-up with mine.If wrong about the center I recommended I'm pretty sure someone will correct me.

What color is it?Really doesn't matter.Where about in Kentucky?That's a short trip for me.
