Seb, have you considered some old Heritages, Chorus's or Fortes? I picked up a pair of Cornwalls, awhile back, best 700 bucks I've spent.

wired1, remember in the end it's how you think your system sounds and thats the only opinion that counts. Just if you disagree with an opinion, respectfully disagree. I understand alot of hard earned money and aggravation went into your system. By the way, how did you find those La Scalas? Correct me if I'm wrong, I remember that was another sore point with ya. Good luck with your system.

wired1 and theear, do yourselves a favor, use the search function and read all of Colin's posts before you start trashing the guy. You'll find he's extremely knowledgable and his opinons are highly regarded. REMEMBER we're all guests here.

The scumbags who planned and attacked Washington and New York refer to the U.S. as the great Satan, maybe we should live up to that reputation. I'm still stunned from the events of that day, from the attacks, to the unbelievably short time in which the Towers collapsed, from the orderly evacuation marches of vast amounts of people across the Manhattan bridge without a hint of panic, to the lines of people that formed around 2 city blocks within hours of the attack to donate blood, to my co-workers of the NYPD who put their jobs first and concerns for their families safety second, to the Firemen with the "thousand yard stare" covered in the grayish white dust that seems to be everywhere. Proud to be a New Yorker.

Their's an effect on/off switch located on the front panel and remote. Effect off bypasses the DSP functions and puts you in 2 channel.

Just picked up a pair of Heresy's with lettering HD-BB. I'm assuming the lettering indicates Heresy designer birch black. Whats has me confused is their not black and I guess someone did a good job of refinishing them. Can anyone confirm the HD-BB thing?
They were manufactured in 1977, S/N 45R235 and 236. Thanks.
By the way, anyone interested in a pair of KSB 1.1 in white and/or the matching center KSC-C1 in black. Bought them new 06/02/00.

richardd, their should be a level setup for subwoofer on your receiver. I have an older Yamaha rx. and the rx. sub level control ranges from -20db to 0db in 1db increments. You might want to give it a shot if you already haven't.

This is good news, it shouldn't be too long before the rest of the manufactuers jump on the bandwagon. Patience is a virtue, sometimes.

J&R MUSIC WORLD has an ad in todays New York Daily News for KLF-30's, in black, going for $999.98 a pair; (1-800-221-8180).

I have a pair of 1981 Cornwall 1's, both woofers have the square magnets and are labeled K-33-E. Don't know if this helps, just figured I'd throw it out here. Jim and boa12 this is probally a good question for Klipsch tech support. I'm very curious as to the differences between square and round magnets, anybody know ?

Great setup, the photo really gives a good perspective of the size of the SVS in relation to the Cornwalls. That thing sure must put out some bass. Nice of you to incoporate the fireplace to keep those Corns warm on those cool days.

Tom, great setup! Have a few questions, if you can drag yourself from your system and don't mind. Are you planning to use the Cornwalls in the HT setup, if you are what center are is that your using? What are you using to drive the Cornwalls? Looks like the spacing between your Cornwalls is 6 to 7 feet? Whats your initial impressions on how they sound? I'm still amazed how good they sound everytime I listen to my Cornwall I's. Still debating whether to use Corns for HT or to pick up some old "vintage" Mcintosh gear probally MC2105 or MC2125 for amplification, still looking into Mcintosh preamps. Thanks and enjoy your system.

williamkusumo, I reside in N.Y, my experience with Netflix has been mixed. When I first joined I'd receive DVD's within 2 to 3 days, and Netflix would acknowledge receipt within 2 to 3 days. Over the last 4 months I still receive DVD's within the same time, but they do not acknowledge receipt of disc's mailed back for at least 7 to 8 days. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but it seems to me Netflix may not be acknowledging receipt as quick as they use to, in order to limit the number of discs a member rents. I intially joined Netflix to get away from Blockbuster, but I've been back to Blockbuster often lately. They seem to have gotten their act together in my area.
HornEd, Netflix does have a program to upgrade the basic plan. I believe its 8 discs out for $39.95 per month. As far as obscure titles, I've had a few on order since day one, about 7 months ago and the discs have been out of stock for, you guessed it, 7 months. This has been my experience with Netflix yours and others may be different.

paulaelliot, Have you considered a subwoofer? It might not be a bad idea, since your running SB-3's and their bottom end is limited.

boa12, the above setup still working out for you? If it is, glad to hear you cracked that nut.

The upcoming Reference Series subwoofers are front firing and also have a passive radiator {RSW-15, RSW-12, RSW-10}.

Not only did Fredo betray the family, but he almost got Michael and his wife killed while at Lake Tahoe.
Not to mention his inept performance as his dad's bodyguard in Godfather I. The Godfather is available on DVD??

Elliot,
Your right the Klipsch Heresy was discontinued and replaced by the Heresy II. The MSRP of $770 reflects the price of the Heresy, in its last year of production 1985. Klipsch provides this information on all there discontinued (classic) products. We klipsch fanatics demand it. I believe $1098 is the current MSRP for a pair of Heresy II.

Cuzfu, try some of your local dealers. They should have some complete home theater setups for auditioning, you should be able to get an idea of what you're going to need. Remember there salesman, don't hesitate to ask questions on this forum, you will get some great advice.
Good Luck,
Joe T

Thanks for the reply DD2. I've also noticed current releases aren't in stock like they use to be and that was Netflix's strong point. The slow to acknowledge thing pissed me off. Gonna give it a couple of months, will post if their's any improvement. I haven't heard about any other online services, if you know of any I'll definetly give them a try.
