  1. That IS a pretty cool costume!!! The game so far is pretty good as well. The graphics are a good step up IMO from the rest of the Halo games. Fun factor is also a good step up. Enjoying the game up to this point!

  2. This has NOTHING to do with this thread but I just wanted to show it off.

This is a finish they are experimenting with and they said it was very hard to get consistent and may never get into production ?

But i thought it looked great, much better in person than in this pic.......Dark Cherry.

That dark cherry is awesome! I would love a full set of speakers with that finish.

I agree Vital! That is a very nice finish! Too bad they can't get that to the market.

  3. Me too, especially with the lower x-over point!

As someone who is new to this whole game... What effect does the lower x-over have? Is that where the larger drivers hand off the sound to the Hi freq driver?

    thanks in advance

    Simply put, yes.

  4. well the room is actually pretty large and open, but the speakers are 98db effecient, and i have 200wpc feeding them.It dont really bother me, i just figured with them turned all the way down, i was wasting my amp wattage, lolBig Smile. I dont pay any attention to reference on the receiver anyway, so i guess i could calibrate them closer to the 0 mark..it would just get to reference volume before the 00 on receiver

That's what I would do. If I have my sub calibrated less than 0, it dosen't want to come on. So I turn the volume down and the adjustments up above 0.

    It works for me.

    +1 from me Dennie

  5. I have a feeling that you may want to upgrade the Amp. A seperate amp would work best but to get the kind of Sound Pressure your looking for, you'll need a high power/current amplifier. That Sony isn't a bad receiver, but the the power output at 110watts would actually be about 50 clean watts of power while above that, your are distorting terribly considering the loudness your looking for. RF3's are looking like they want 150watts, so, your would require at least a 200watt amp(clean power) or 250w to get the "headroom" you would require to get clean output (reduced distortion for the tweeters) for the RF3's. What I think with the phone is you are having to turn the volume up so much that the amp is "clipping" (distorting) and causing your tweeter stress. A preamp for the phone would porlly fix that...
