  1. Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 system, (Pre-Oct 2009 if possible). Or Bose, Shhhh..... I didn't say that!
  2. I have direct fit wires for the GMX system available which come with the male to male 9 pin connector and the power transfer wire. Email me at damagetone@aim.com and I can have them sent out fast.
  3. not that I am aware of, but there are wall "shelves" that you can install and then place the speakers on them. If they are anything like the regular promedia speakers you can modify the stands on the speakers by flipping them upside down and then bending them outward and drilling holes in them. but the WB-1 is a better setup as you can angle the speaker just about any way you want them. My method only allows you to angle them up and down, not side to side. installing a shelf for them to sit on might be a better method not to mention can look nice. But keep your eyes open for the bracets as I have seen them on ebay before and have also seen them selling with systems as well. Let us know what you come up with as it may be helpful to others in the near future.
  4. the main power fuse can be accessed from the outside of the sub, it is the cicular plastic piece that can be reomoved with a coin or screwdriver. if the fuse is blown let me know and I can get you a new one if you can;t find them locally.
  5. This is the new link http://cgi.ebay.com/Klipsch-Promedia-16ga-Speaker-Wire-Cable-Set-Gold-/170522473044?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27b3ee7254
  6. Not to mention that the sub no longer has a power switch and the speaker wires are now permanately attached to the sats, I hate both of these ideas as well. Particularly the speaker wires. Klipschwill try and say that the new wire idea works just as effective as the old wires and the signal is lossless, which is not true. a good set of 16ga speaker wires for these has a noticeabe sound difference for the better and I think Klipsch knew this with the older version of the PM 2.1 since they endorsed the Monster Cable brand speaker wires for these systems. but now that they don't make the speakers like that they are suddenly saying the speaker wires are perfect for these systems, grrrr....... I don't like it, but i still love the older line.
  7. been too busy to worry about it. the amount of work involved versus the profit margin is not very high so it is not high on my priority list. it is something i would like to eventually offer. But as of right now still has not been done. I did buy all the supplies needed to do it, but have not really hadthe time to get into it.
  8. If memory serves me correct they are 6 ohm speakers, and I have ran them on my Yamaha receiver with no problems. Good speaker wires are a must though and I can help you with that if you would like.
  9. Well, neither controller will work outright with the 4.1 system, they have different connectors on them, what I am curious about though, is if the connector on a 2.1 controller was switched over to the connector for a 4.1, would it work? in theory, yes, it would. but I can't say one way or another as it has not been done yet to my knowledge. also, it may not have anything to do with the controller, it could be something. or it could just be the controller, in which case all you would need is to find a used one to make your sub work, also, it could just be the DIN connector on your controller, I replace them all the time for people and most of the time, that is all that is wrong with a system and they don't cost alot to fix. I hope this helped you in some way.
  10. Why not just buy a new controller from Klipsch? if you do I will buy your old controller.
  11. Just remove the screws that are holding on the amplifier plate, once the outer screws have been removed you can CAREFULLY pry the plate away from the sub box (some kind of rubber based adhesive is used here).
  12. Yes, it "can" be the 6 pin connector. I can help you with that if needed.
  13. That is what I did and it worked great, and then you can use the TV speakers at the same time which the correct blend of the levels can sound nice and thicker than the speakers alone. But I highly recommend getting a receiver and going surround sound (if possible). and the Klipsch ProMedia Sats work great as starter surround speakers.
  14. Nope, a customer of mine did that about a year ago when the new ProMedia 2.1 came out and it worked out fine for him. So you should be all set.
  15. these are what i use for making my Klipsch speaker wires for the ProMedia systems and they work perfectly. http://cgi.ebay.com/Neutrik-3-5mm-1-8-Mono-Plug-Gold-Plated-solder-type-/180347736498?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item29fd9011b2 I make them in custom lengths for people all the time if you would like to try them out. I have them available in my ebay store with these connectors.
  16. check out this link here: http://www.thompdale.com/bash_amplifier/bash_amp.htm
  17. if interested in selling your control pod let me know, i buy controllers from people.
  18. I neutral is still a damaging rating, I have done everything I could do for you up to this point, I have even offered to have you send me your stuff and I would do it for you. You would have been better off not leaving any feedback at all. it damages my reputation when I have had hundreds of satisified customers from the same product. Whenever anyone has a problem, they contact me and I do what I can to help them out, the same would apply to you. That is why I am upset, I go above and beyond for my customers. Let me know how things turn out. or contact me through my email if you need anything else. damagetone@aim.com
  19. there is only one color that did not match with the repair cables and that was the brown wire, in the klipsch it is a nice dark brown, on my repair cable it is a lighter brown almost a peach type color, but all other colors matched and the non insulated wires have to be connectod together as well for it to work, all steps that I have mentioned were all written into my ebay ad before this cable was purchased as well. and your paypal/ebay history should allow for you to contact me in a few ways. yet no contact attempy was ever made. So I hope you can see why I am upset.
  20. you should be able to look up any items that you have purchased from ebay in your ebay page, and if you lookup account histroy and payments made etc you would find my information, I am not hidden at all. Feedback can be retracted and I am certainly willing to help you out for a retraction of the feedback. Do you still have the cable I sent you? if yes it gets connectod by matching the colors as you go, and the non-insulated wire goes to the Klispch cable surrounding ground wire. each wire is to be taped as you go to avoid one wire from shorting out against another. If you can't manage the work yourself or find someone local to help you then I can offer to have to send the items to me and i will do the work. But I would ask that you pay shipping. or I can repalce the DIN with a high quality one for a little more money and if the cable i sent you is still in good condition I would accept a return of it and refund the purchase price. my ebay store is available throguh ebay, my id mr_clean_ct. The new stock of cable is not the same as what you ordered so the new ebay ad is different.
  21. there should be a total of 9 connections as the outer circular portion of the plug is a grounded connection inside the control pod as well, if all 9 connections are good then it might be the control pod and it might also be the circuitry inside the sub. More likely to be the sub. If you would like I do buy controllers from people and would be insterested in yours if you don't figure out what is going on.
  22. No, Often tiems when these connectors break you don't see the break, it will be inside the plug. what you need to do is trace each wire from the tipes of the pins to the inside of the controller with a voltage meter to make sure that the signal is getting from the inside of the controller to the pins where they need to be. If any of the connections is lost then you need the DIN replaced, I can do the work for you. I do several every week.
  23. The instructions were in the listing, You color match each wire, green to green, yellow to yellow, etc... Also, make sure to connect the shielding of the klipsch cable to the non-insulated (bare wire) in my DIY Repair Cable. There should not be any guess work to do with this at all. Please read the item description on ebay, you should not have left me a Neutral feedback, you should have contacted me directly through my Email or throguh ebay messaging. that isn't fair.
  24. Are you planning on the speakers being semi portable? if not then a regular set of ProMedia 2.1 speakers is a perfect choice, but if you want to be semi portable without a subwoofer then the Klipsch Groove sepakers or the ProMedia 2.0's are the way to go, I think both are out of production now but can still be found, I still have 2 brand new sets of the Klipsch Groove Speakers myself. But if a Subwoofer is desired then get the ProMedia 2.1.
