  1. You are both correct, phono 1 is MC ! I emailed Mark and that was his answer. Thanks, Guys
  2. Both my turntables are MM so I will try it in Phono 2.
  3. Thanks Analog Wave, Does that mean that Phono 2 is used for MM cartridges ?
  4. Thats a good point, I didnt think about that. The manuel that I have was sent with it when bought new !
  5. Thats what I thought but the owners manuel says Phono 1&2 are 47k ohm MM cartridge inputs !
  6. Just a quick question at this point. What does the LOMC stand for ?
  7. Lets hope its not too late when they get there !
  8. Thanks Jay, I am just recently into vinyl and looking for a good source for albums !
  9. It must be the Scott 299b. I have a restored Fisher 400 that is the same way. I have to turn the bass below neutral with no loudness and no subs !
  10. Do you have a pair of matching SW-12s (or are those 15s)? One is an SW-12 and the other is a SW-12II, both are oak ! They are my first experience with subs and 2-channel. I am new to tubes and vinyl and neither seems to have the bass I was used to with SS. The subs sound pretty good for old subs but I can learn from them.
  11. I had fun drag racing for 15 years but the real fun only came on the weekends, now the fun is 24/7. It seems to be the most bang for the buck !
  12. Thanks Frank, its getting better all the time ! I am basicly just getting into tubes and just wondering how long it takes to get the bug for tube rolling ?
  13. No Rudy, This is what I call out of control ! I guess I think I am going to sell all of this stuff one day.
  14. Rudy, you are correct ! But the fact is I only started this hobby 2 1/2 years ago and I am 59 years young. I have no time to waste if I expect to get to the top of the mountain !
  15. The other one ! I had to make a 1" strofoam door for this opening. It got a little warm in there with no return air for the A/C and the tubes radiating heat. These will be the Khorns that I will use for the NOS vrd stereo amp and JMBB with creme that I just bought from Scott last week.
  16. The room is not the greatest ! It has too many cased openings in it so I had to cover over them for the test !
  17. I bought these 78 Rosewood Khorns from wrench722 about a month ago. I replaced the woofers and have only been listening to them with SS gear. Got energatic the other day and took my tube gear in and hooked it up to them to see what they sounded like. Love them but I think it is time to upgrade the xovers. I finally took the plunge into vinly last week but after only listening to digital the analog sounded very, very different. I was not getting the sound stage that I was getting with cd,s so I added a couple of subs, made it sound very nice. Now I just need to learn to dial in the subs !
  18. Very Nice, did you build the cabinets above the Khorns? They look great! I bet that set up sounds fantastic and without much volume either. Dennie Thanks Dennie, I did build the cabinets to put the gear in. My plan is to one of these days I will run all of the cables and speakers wires in the ceiling and walls. Its going to be a big project that I have not gotten around to ! You can definately raise the roof if you so desire. It isn't going to be that big of a project or at least that was my experience. A friend helped me one day, we ran the wiring for 4 surround speakers in under 2 hours. I thought it would be much harder than it was. I realize you have more wires/cables to run, but it will be worth it. That is a beautiful set up you have there, those cabinets look great and I bet it sounds amazing. Thanks for posting the pictures! Dennie Its going to take me quite a bit longer as I have to go through 1" marble then 4" brick into the stud wall which is between the face brick and the chimney then over to the cabinet on the left where the A/VR reciever will be. Running the speakers wires will not be to bad, at least I will only have to do it once. Thanks Again Dennie !!

  20. Things have grown since this picture was taken. These are the fronts for my H/T system and 2-channel.
  21. A Korneff 45 - you have good taste! But your Fortes are better than your K-horns. Even PWK preferred the Forte to the K-horn and stated so in public at least 1,000 times. I have 6 Khorns and no Forte"s, what does that tell you !
  22. I must confess, I have been happily divorced for fifteen years !
  23. They are Rosewood laquer. When I checked Marshal's Info there was a Brazilian Rosewood offered but I have not confirmed thats what is.
  24. My most recent Klipsch purchase. These will not leave the house !
