  1. I am by no means an expert of any kind but the 64II sounded great with the 82II's. I didnt have it playing with the 82's for more than a week or so though. I found a great deal on some b stock RF-7II's and they were purchased. On a seperate note 82's make great surrounds by the way...

    RF-82

I had a 64II with 82II's for a while until I decided I wouldnt be happy until I had the 7II's and the 64 sounded great with the 82's despite what some people said. Get the best center you can.
  3. I had a Synergy F-3 setup with an Onkyo 805 pushing them. I could turn the dial to painful and the speakers kept on putting out great sound.
  4. Go with Klipsch. You will be happy.
  5. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Does this mean I should be in a hurry to go buy the rest of the speakers to finish my set up?
  7. I have RF-7II's and I just reserved myself one of these. http://emotiva.com/xpa3.shtm

  9. I am a huge fan of Panasonic plasmas.
  10. Checkout HSU.com They make some great subs.
  11. I talked to my local dealer and he said Klipsch would still have high quality speakers if AudioVox purchased them. He said that knowing the people he knows at Klipsch not to worry because they wouldn't just sell to make a buck. Just his opinion and he had no reason to lie to me. His biggest fear was having Klipsch sold at big box stores.
  12. I have a couple of questions on this buy out. First of all why is there a nonbinding agreement signed? Are both companies waiting to see what kind of "uprising" this will cause among the Klipsch customers/fans? Is there a chance if this does go through that there will still be great speakers that stay true to the Klipsch sound? Lastly I just bought RF-82II's right before this news came out and I bought a RC-64II center with the thought of upgrading to RF-7II's in the future. Is the time to upgrade now?
  13. I can see if this does go through that the Klipsch name will remain intact and the quality of the products will remain the same. Audiovox would be very stupid to ruin what Klipsch has built. I have only been a Klipsch fan for a few years. The first Klipsch product I heard was a pair of F-3's at Best Buy. I fell in love with the sound Klipsch makes. I know the Synergy line is low end but that is how I got my first taste of Klipsch. I recently upgraded to the Reference line 2 days ago and I love them even more than the Synergy's I bought that day at Best Buy. I say if Audiovox pushes the lower Klipsch lines and lets Klipsch make the decisions about product development/quality it could be better for Klipsch in the long run. I can't see a Klipsch family member who owns the company sell the family business without protection to keep the Klipsch name at the top where it has always been.
  14. HSU makes some good subs. http://www.hsuresearch.com/
  15. I have a pair of RF- 82II's on the way as I have gotten the upgrade bug. I currently have an F-3 setup and I am going to try to use the C-3 center I have already but the more I read the more I think the C-3 will be replaced quickly. I have gotten quotes on the 2 centers in the title and I trying to decide if the 64 is worth the extra $540.
  16. I was looking at svs subs but I ended up going with an HSU VTF3 MK3. I liked it so much I purchased a second one. The HSU subs really dig deep.
  17. I have had my 805 for 3 weeks now and I haven't second guessed my decision. I don't think it makes my F-3s sound bright. The 805 has only 10rms more than my yamaha but the difference is huge. I was a diehard Yamaha fan until I bought my 805.
  18. In my opinion yes. Dolby Digital actually doesn't give you all of the available sound. You lose some of the high highs and the low lows.
  19. I am not positive but i think so. You can get dolby digital with an optical cable but it wont have the uncompressed audio. Checkout avsforum.com.
  20. I have my PS3 connected with hdmi right to the receiver. I think you need hdmi to get the uncompressed sound so you would have to run a hdmi from your tv to the receiver.
  21. When I play a blu ray it shows up on my 805 as multichannel. It is still uncompressed audio. It sounds a thousand times better than dolby digital.
  22. I have only had my 805 for a little over a week and I love it. Great sound and a ton of power. I have a complete F-3 system these speakers didn't sound this good with the Yamaha I replaced. Great receiver for the $.
