  1. Just to let everyone know that I have UPDATED the second post of this thread to include all the possible colors I can get for you. Please take a look here: http://community.klipsch.com/forums/p/147585/1518677.aspx#1518677
  2. Im too far away, but would gladly help just for the beer.[] Us coonasses love beer
  3. Im not going to agree or disagree with your statements. I understand that "feedback" can enter the sytem through a number of ways. When I bought my first emotiva amp about 4 years ago(XPA3), I placed it in my old house which of course had old wiring and no ground. I called emotiva because I was getting a buzzing noise out of my speakers that wasnt there before with my ONKYO 876. I tried different power cables, RCA cables, I even ran a dedicated line underground outiside with a ground rod attached. None of this worked. I ended up returning the amp and keeping my 876 to run everything. I sold that house and built a new home about a year and a half ago. I bought a new xpa 3 which had more of a very very faint hiss when turned on. I knew I had a new house, new wiring, new breakers etc.... I didnt expect to have a buzz at all. Well I was sorda wrong. I had a somewhat form of the buzz but you would have to put your ear all the way against the horn of my RF63 to hear it. I have all brand new blue jeans RCAs between my XPA5 and Onkyo 5508. I have tried xlrs and RCAs with no luck. Granted the hiss or small buzz is so small that it wouldnt bother anyone because no one would know of it unless I told them. Three XPA amps(xpa3, xpa3, xpa5) multiple cables(xlrs monoprice, blue jeans RCAs), three different avr/prepros(Pioneer, 876, 5508), and two different house, all had the the buzz or hiss. The buzz or hiss I hear now in my new house is so faint it is almost inaudible. I have talked to numerous people with this same problem. Klipsch, emotiva, audioholics, AVS, Home theater shack forums all are riddled with the same problem. i have also talked to many people that say they dont hear a hiss or buzz at all even with their ears up to the speakers. One more thing, when swapping back to just a AVR eliminated the buzz from me hearing it, but honestly I think the amp just amplified the buzz is all. I think it is there no matter what sometimes.
  4. doubling your wattage will yield a 3db increase, but also offer more headroom
  5. I thought so too. Im a very happy Klipsch customer right now.
  6. either get you a more substantial AVR or get a avr to serve as a pre pro and get a external amp.
  7. quick update. I found out this morning from Klipsch that they will be replacing my RF62s with the OLD exact model. So it looks like im getting my old ones back!!
  8. im interested in hearing your thoughts. Panasonic makes some of the BEST plasmas. I was thinking of getting a cheap 55ST30 for our living room.
  9. waiting for Klipsch to call or email. No word from dealer.
  10. I will call today to make sure, but I am actually wondering if they will be giving me the RF62iis. Jason alerted me that they definately are different in looks etc.. Im really not worrying about the sound because they are surruounds.
  11. well, Ill call today to make sure of which ones they are giving me.
  12. that really doesnt matter since they are just surrounds.
  13. I think the II version. They dont have any of the other ones left.
  14. I noticed a while back that my RF62s (surrounds) vinyl veneer was coming up. A couple spots looked like it was rippling and eventually it would come up also. It was happening on both speakers. I called Klipsch to ask them about the warranty considering these speakers are 3 years old. I was told to call my dealer. I then called the place I bought them and they sent someone out with a camera to take pictures. A day or so later, I was told to get the serial numbers. I gave the serial numbers to the dealer, and then was called back today. I was told that Klipsch wants me to take my speakers to the dealer where they are issuing a call tag to have them shipped back to them. I was also told I would be getting two BRAND new RF62s. Right now I just wanted to let everyone know this and I will be updating the thread with the progess. Hopefully all goes well. thanks
  15. 6 posistions versus 8 with XT. You should notice a difference. My 5508 has XT32 and YES, it is nice.
  16. Jason, yeah I still have them. Klipsch is actuall sending me a new pair because the vinyl was peeling on my old RF62s. New speakers!! Anyway, back to the topic: The only reason I walked out with the 62s is because at the time, the RF82s were $300 or so more. I didnt hear the $300 difference honestly. The only reason I would step up to those is if you are running a dedicated two channel setup. I upgraded to the RF63s later and of course they are definately worth it.
  17. Don's two 6 footers in cherry and one 10 foot sub cable in cherry.
  18. the black with the blue band was something I bought from hong kong. I bought like 25 or so feet and wanted to try it out. I made those for a guy that liked the color. I have done a ogre with the small black like yours: Ill have to post a pic of the fire toned down. give me a few.
  19. when I purchased my first Klipsch setup, I demoed the RF62s and 82s. I walked out with the 62s because I did not hear the difference in price.
