  1. I'm well aware of the dimensions, the wife wants more subwoofer, so she gets more subwoofer. We plan at some point to place it behind a wall of the home theater, out of sight out of mind.

Wowza, my wife is just the opposite. My room doesnt allow me to hide it so it just towers over the other speakers! LOL. I dont have the skills to build it so I asked Carl if he would and luckily, he obliged. And did a great job at that. If you decide to build, he posted many great pics. I wish you luck but mine has to stay in its little home for now. Although if you could figure out a way to ask the wife, she would sell in a heartbeat, and at a great price I'm sure. NO, you cant have her number! LOL.

  2. Wow, no love for the RF 5's? I havent heard the 75's but I do still own a pair of RF-5's and they certainly aint no slouch. Now see what you did? Now I have to add 75's to the bucket list! I love how this hobby/sickness just keeps giving!! All well, at least its still fun!

  3. Uh, oh. I will throw it out there, I agree with Thebes to a certain point. I dont want to bash them as they are a force you just have to deal with. But the early stuff I agree with Thebes is that Bubble Gum crap like Yellow Submarine, Koo Koo Kachoo, I'm a Walrus, not a big fan. However, Hey Jude and a couple of others live up to the hype. I consider them a Bubble Gum band. Oh yeah, Helter Skelter song redone by Motley Crue is much better IMHO.

Yoko doesnt even deserve to be mentioned as far as music goes. The vision of seeing her attempt to sing (on TV) has been long lasting. I still have the scars. And watching Ringo dance and attempt to sing is just as bad.

Now, Paul and the Wings IMHO opinion put out some classics that have stood the time. I would take the Wings any day over the Beatles.

George did better things on his own after the Beatles.

John did better things after the Beatles.

    Let the bashing continue!

  4. It would do fine for that. If mobile data is important to ya, make sure the tablet is compatible with your carrier. I bought one a few years back only to find out ATT didnt support mobile data on it. That wasnt cool.

  5. I saw a clip a while back, I think it was Youtube, where a guy walked around in public re-creating the whole FB thing. It was funny. He walked up to a stranger and said, Hey, I like you. Will you like me back please? Can I write on your wall? Oh, and that guy over there, I dont like him. I think I will "unfriend him". The list goes on.

My daughter is into it really bad. I overheard the women talking about somebody that got "unfriended" and buddy, let me tell ya, it was all out war. Who knew when you unfriend someone, thats the biggest insult you can give em now days????  It was WW 3 there for a while.

I have not the time or desire. I officially unfriend Facebook!

  6. I was in same boat not long ago and decided to get the Oppo 105. It is nice BUT, I have some older DVD's (not BR) that I still watch. Mostly concerts that arent out on BR. I swear, that PS 3 would play any disc I threw in there. I'm talking about scratches on the disc. No skips whatsoever. I cant say the same for the Panasonic and the Oppo. I  tried (many times with many different DVD's) playing the same disk in all 3 players. The PS 3 was the only one that not only didnt freeze like the other two, but didnt even skip.

For me, and for that reason above only, I wish I wouldve stayed with the PS3. I have a ton of old classic concerts on DVD that I cant enjoy now because it cant get past the scratches. Some of the DVD's are barely scratched and some have some pretty good cuts/scratches in them and quite honestly was surprised any player could play them without skipping. But again, that PS 3 was a work horse and was flawless.

  7. I leave the forum for a couple of months and look what happens. To me its very clear........... deepest condolences to those who lost their lives in the Paris event and to their families. The attackers deserve everything coming to them and I hope we get every single individual that had any part in that coward attack. That has nothing to do with guns, religion, Vegans, Cannibals or anything else.

Maybe we should have a "Hurt Feelings" forum?

  8. I have the 4.6 and get about 15-19 mpg but since I put exhaust on it, I get more like 12-15 if I'm lucky. Like them dual exhaust with glass packs.

I did not care for the stock dash lights so got them changed out. Check out the blue, much better.post-29959-0-71660000-1446698421_thumb.j

    Night time looks much better!

  9. 2013 Tundra TTS here. I dont have the link, but I did hear that Tundra is now the most American made truck. The first one I bought brand new was 2001 and still have it, actually gave it to my grandson. It has 380,000 miles and still runs like a top. It still has factory AC and very few things have been changed under the hood shy of regular maintenance items. They are the Ever Ready of trucks, they take a beating and keep ticking. The only downside is if you need a REAL truck to haul something heavy, Tundra aint gonna cut it. I hope they come out with more than a half ton truck in the future.

  10. I dont think it will re-open once closed. I happened across a RS in a town about 10 miles from me that was going out of business. It was crazy, they would give you a bag and tell you whatever you can put in there, no matter what is was, the cost is $20.00. People were filling them up with phone cases and then putting on the bay. I then went to one about 5 miles from me and it was not going out of business and is still there. It seems they could have worked out a deal where the stores that were closing could at least give the ones not closing a good deal which would have been win-win. Not real sure the direction they will be taking but they better pay attention or they all will be gone.

I buy from them when I can but the items they have in stock are very limited here.

  11. In my setup, 2 channel music sounds best in 2.1. I can even handle pure direct. But with any other scenario, any other speaker added to the mix just takes away from the sound. But, I also have to turn the sub way down so it sounds blended.

  12. 10 minutes into the Avengers and you'd be homeless.

Thats why I only use Lil Wrecker when wife is out of town! Do you mean the newest one?

Scrappy, you are blessed. My wife doesnt give a hoot about audio. Even when I just had the sub 12, she ask me to turn it off. ................ OK, no snarking allowed on the Sub 12!!
