  1. You just need a subwoofer cable: http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10236&cs_id=1023603&p_id=2680&seq=1&format=2 Or found at any electronics store, you could buy a monster brand cable too, but you'd be shelling out more money, that's up to you. It will connect to the back of your receiver in the Subwoofer Output port and then to the back of the subwoofer.
  2. I bought those exact mounts for my RS-52 speakers as well. They are still sitting in the boxes, but soon enough I'll have it up and running.
  3. Nice deal. I just ordered a RX-V3900, so I can't wait to hook it up and see how it works!
  4. Ok this is an amazing setup, and you live in Wichita which is also awesome. I would assume you live in the Bradley Fair / Wilson Estates area? I just bought a few Klipsch components, but nothing compared to this. I bet you throw some kick *** parties. I'm glad you shared your pictures.
  5. Thanks for the info again, you seem to answer most of my questions on here.
  6. I'm wanting to mount these to each side of my mantel, but my only concern is placement. I would like to place them to the very back of the mantel flush against the wall so I can hide my speaker wire and have a cleaner look as well. However I'm wondering if this will have an impact on the sound. I'm thinking that if they were mounted flush with the front of the mantel it would distribute the sound better, but I have no idea. I'm most likely going to build a shelf that holds them coming off the wall instead of drilling into my mantel. I don't believe these speakers have any kind of mounting taps built in, correct? Unfortunately they are only going to be 52" apart from each other too.
  7. Ok let me know what you think, any concerns? Receiver: RX-V1800BL: http://www.yamaha.com/yec/products/productdetail.html?CNTID=558291 Subwoofer: RW-12d Subwoofer: http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/rw-12d.aspx Center Channel: RC-62 Center Channel: http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/rc-62.aspx (2) Front: RB-61 Bookshelf Loudspeaker: http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/rb-61.aspx (2) Surround: RS-52 Surround Speaker: http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/rs-52.aspx I'm unable to do floorspeakers upfront due to space limitations, but from what I've read as long as I have a good subwoofer I will be fine. I've read good reviews on that Yamaha receiver as well, and I'm getting a hell of a deal on all of this too good to pass up. Thanks again for the help.
  8. Thanks again for the reply, and great information. I try to do my research and ask as much as I can to get the most out of my system with as few dissapointments as possible. When spending this kind of money I want to make sure I do it right the first time. So I've updated my list a bit: Receiver: RX-V1800BL: http://www.yamaha.com/yec/products/productdetail.html?CNTID=558291 Subwoofer: RW-12d Subwoofer: http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/rw-12d.aspx Center Channel: RC-62 Center Channel: http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/rc-62.aspx Front: (2) Surround: RS-52 Surround Speaker: http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/rs-52.aspx I'll do some measuring upfront tonight and see what I can do with the front. It will problably be either the RB-61 bookshelf speakers or the RF-82 floorstanding speakers. I'm tempted to look at getting some floorstanding speakers, but I like the clean look of everything off the ground....I'm going to do a search on bookshelf vs. floorstanding speakers and see what I come up with.
  9. I have a 50" 1080P Panasonic Plasma. Bought it a little over a year ago. You'd kill me if you heard how cheap I got it for. I love it, and would buy another one!
  10. I would prefer everything to be on the wall for a clean look, but I can do some measuring to see if I'm able to fit in like 2 RB-51's on top of my mantle under my Plasma or something like that. What would you recommend for rear speakers? The RS-52 you said work great as sides, and rears? And would you recommend me doing the sides as well for a 7.1 setup? Or keep it at a 5.1?
  11. Good to know, thanks. I'm not looking at getting any big floor speakers so I think the RF-62 / RF-82 are out of the question, and the RB are bookshelf speakers right? I would like to mount all of the surround speakers on the walls. I might have to go another route like the S-2 Surround speakers then?
  12. Here's what I plan on buying: RW12d - Subwoofer: http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/rw-12d.aspx RC-62 Center Channel: http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/rc-62.aspx RS-52 Surround Speakers (4): http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/rs-52.aspx I've been reading and from what I've read it seems pointless for me to buy 2 more surround speakers to make it 7.1 as of right now. I need to find a receiver that has ATLEAST 3 HDMI Inputs. I've been looking at Yamaha's since I get a good deal on them: RX-V1800BL & RX-V863BL Need some input on what reciever to get, and my setup. I don't think I can go wrong with any of it, but I'd like to get some input. Thanks, and I just created an account, but been trolling through the forums every now and again.
