  1. Looks like they sold ... Or the ad just expired. Either way, I'm out of the running. Going to pick up my new Cornwall's tomorrow afternoon instead!
  2. Which ALK crossover do you think he used?
  3. A little more detail ... this is the 10K version. This is a nice passive pre if you're in the market!
  4. You'll have to arm wrestle me for 'em! : )
  5. Great passive preamp with resistor network and remote control. Has numerical digital readout and source selection switch. Has all of the optional upgrades described below including remote control. Not perfect, but very good condition. The faceplate is clean, with one nick on the top edge. The wood sides are clean. The light color spots on the right side are not scrapes ... it is discoloration in the wood. There are a couple small scratches in the aluminum top and bottom, and a small scrape (wrench mark) around the power cord jack (from tightening). All in all, it looks great on the audio rack. Its a SINGLE ENDED type with 3x input selector and 2 OUTs for biamping. Inside high quality 48 position shunt type attenuator. Only 2 resistors in the signal path. This is the 10K version! Attenuator ---------------------------- Number of steps: 48 Contact material: Hard gold Polished wiper and contact pins Extremely short signal path Channel matching: +/-0.1 dB Upgrades include: Remote control - $200 Vishay Zfoil series resistor - $60 Takman REX shunt resistors - $70 CNC machined enclosure made of exotic wood and anodized aluminium Dimensions: W280 x H80 x D250 mm Weight: 2,8kg I am the second owner, and have used it for the last year. I have used it with tubes and SS, and it has performed flawlessly with everything I've thrown at it! The remote is a nice heavy piece, and is in perfect condition. To buy this new, shipped to the US, it is $680. See it on the Khozmo website below: http://www.khozmo.com/stereo_selector.html Shipping shouldn't be more than $10 or $15 in the CONUS. My picture files are too large to upload here. Please contact me if you're interested and I'll email them to you post-haste. Tom
  6. http://chicago.craigslist.org/sox/ele/5679304851.html Not mine.
  7. I bet the're not very comfortable to sit on...
  8. Bump for another price drop ... I am in the market for another tube amp (just sold my Red Wine Audio amp) and really don't need this one anymore. I'm tempted to keep it for a back-up or sub amp, but I'm not one to hoard equipment. $175.00.
  9. Good idea. I actually have a log-in there!
  10. I just got a reply from the seller. Said they have the Crites Ti diaphragms and stock crossovers (as Frzninvt said, board type, not terminal cup mounted). Asking price is $900. Fair, or too much?
  11. So those would be mounted on the terminal cups? Not a huge issue to rebuild them ... I did it on my Forte II's when I had them. Not a big fan of those terminal mounted crossovers though, and it would add some $$ to put new Crites board mounted ones in their place.
  12. So I've read (most recently on that thread about the Belle's in Chicago). Fortunately I am a decent woodworker, so I'm not too concerned about that! Plus, they look to be in pretty good shape at first glance from the pics.
  13. Thanks. I have asked the owner if he knew what type the crossover was. Haven't heard from him yet. Is there a preferable one?
  14. I'm thinking about going to check these out, but am a little confused about their details. I looked in the Klipsch Heritage reference data guide, but am still a little confused. They say "CII" but the labels only have Cornwall printed on them. I do believe they are Walnut lacquer, correct? Can anyone correctly identify the version? Thanks!
  15. Me either ... and I was supposed to go get them tomorrow at 2:00. Instead got an email that they were sold.
  16. I have them crossed over at a specific frequency using an oil-filled cap. I have 2 sets of caps available to tweak the crossover point. There's also a pot so the volume can be adjusted. I play them so you can just start to hear them. They really add a little "shimmer" to the top end. Honestly, the Omegas are fine without them, but they don't hurt anything. And it was a fun little project. Any bsc or other passive bits contouring the main drivers? I've often wondered why aperiodic loading isn't used more, it makes for nice, tight, dry, non-bonky bass. Good looking setup! GLWS. Nope. They are pure single drivers. And they really do sing beautifully.
  17. Bumpage. Willing to split the speakers/stands and sell them without the tweeters and subs. But the speakers and stands should stay together since they are really made for each other.
  18. Selling my excellent RWA 30.2 Signature integrated amp. This is the most recent LFP-V version. Functionally the amp works perfectly. Cosmetically, it is in very good condition. The faceplate is clean (the white speck right of the volume knob is NOT a mark). There are a couple light scratches on the top, which I never noticed in the rack until I pulled it out for pictures. Comes with the original RWA remote, which controls volume. Features one input and one output, and is switchable between AC and battery power. The amp is dead quiet on battery power. I bought it to power my Omega Aperiodic 8 speakers (which are also for sale) as I read the great reviews on the synergy between the RWA and Omegas. And they were right ... They make for a dynamic combination! I'm only selling to try something new, as I'm making a move away from single driver speakers as a change of pace (I am after some Cornwalls or maybe Khorns). I am including the stock JJ E88CC tube as well as a yellow label Telefunken E88CC from Upscale Audio (http://www.upscaleaudio.com/6922-6dj8-7308-pcc88/telefunken-e88cc-6922/) which lists for $169. This tube is widely considered to be a top choice by RWA owners, and it is definitely a huge improvement over the JJ tube, in my opinion. Also comes with the stock charger and power cord. It will ship in the original packaging, including foam inserts. The original manual is also included. Specs can be found here: http://redwineaudio.com/components/signature_302 An excellent review can be found here: http://www.digitalaudioreview.net/2010/11/red-wine-audio-signature-302-lfp-v-edition/ SOLD, I will pick up the shipping charges in the CONUS at my asking price. Original sales price was $3000. I purchased it used, and have owned it since late fall. I have more photos ... some of them were too large to upload so I only included the ones I could. Let me know if you want to see more and I'll email them to you. Sorry!
  19. Selling because I don't use it enough. Amp works great and sounds terrific. The only issue with it is that the left channel power meter is stuck. From what I read, this is a common issue, and could be a mechanical problem with the mini ball bearings that the needle rides on. Since the amp works 100% perfectly (absolutely no issues with the left channel output ... it's purely a meter problem) I elected not to dig into it at the risk of creating other problems. The A/B speaker selector and meter range buttons work fine (well, the right meter range works fine anyway). I used this amp to drive a pair of Boston Acoustics A150 speakers (also for sale). And it did a terrific job delivering plenty of power to drive them properly. They don't make them like this anymore, especially for anywhere near this price. Here are the specs: Power: 100W per channel into 8 ohms, 140W into 4 ohms and 200W dynamic power into 2 ohms Distortion: THD < 0.1% from 20Hz to 20kHz Noise: 110dB A-weighted referenced to rated power Gain: 31dB with input level controls fully clockwise Input impedance: 30k ohms Weight: 17.2 lbs, 7.8 kgs $150 + actual shipping from 53147. I've shipped a lot of electronics without issue, so be confident it'll arrive 100% safely. I can send more pics if you're interested, including the internals. Tom
