    This is a list of songs I have ALWAYS liked.  Not just the flavor of the month.  The list really shows my age (52 years young last birthday) and conservative nature...

  2. Are the CD's you're playing burned CDs or Mastered CDs?

    If they are burned, are the songs that you burned in a lossless quality or MP3? If they are MP3's, then there's your problem---MP3 kills about 60% of the music quality every time you compress it, hence it just will not sound 'correct'.

    Personally, for me, I'm super @n@l about sound quality which is why I always buy my music on a CD. (never from iTunes, or other subscription services) just simply because I don't like compressed music. When I rip the music to my computer, I always use either a WAV, FLAC, or some other lossless encoding to prevent the music from being compressed---But then again, that's just me.

    What I'd suggest is, if the music that is being effected is MP3, find the CD that it came from and play back the original source (Mastered Material) as that's probably where your problem is coming from.

    Hope this helps, and good luck!

  3. Hello,

    I have been researching the Klipsch RF-83's for a long time, and I finally decided that I will be purchasing a pair very soon. (Within the next week or so)

    But before I do so, I would like to know whether the H/K AVR-146 (The amp I currently have) would would have enough power to be able to properly drive them, or if it would be wise for me to purchase another amp. (Say, the H/K AVR-354 that has 75 watts/channel)

    I will be using the speakers mainly for music, (though I will use them for movies and TV as well);

    Incase you don't know, the Harman/Kardon AVR-146 has I believe 40 watts per channel of power in an 8 ohm load.

    If I can get any help, it would be much appreciated!

    Thanks!
