  1. I'm 17, so I'm probably not the youngest.
  2. Hi, my cousin has an iFi sound system that he uses for computer/iPod audio, and he loves it, but he just wants to know what the THD is on it? (Total Harmonic Distortion) Does anyone know? Thanks!
  3. Thanks everyone for your thoughts, and experience! You've all been very helpful; I'm planning on getting the RF-83's in mid November, and once I get them, I'll be sure to let you know my thoughts on them. Thank you!
  4. This is a tough one... (In no specific order) 1. Clocks by Coldplay 2. A Bad Dream by Keane 3. If You're Gone by Matchbox Twenty 4. Until the End of the World by U2 5. Pages by 3 Doors Down 6. Ain't No Cure for Love by Leonard Cohen 7. Careful What You With For by Raine Maida 8. Yellow Brick Road by Raine Maida 9. 42 by Coldplay 10. When the Morning Comes by Dishwalla (If you can't tell already, I'm 17 )
  5. Are the CD's you're playing burned CDs or Mastered CDs? If they are burned, are the songs that you burned in a lossless quality or MP3? If they are MP3's, then there's your problem---MP3 kills about 60% of the music quality every time you compress it, hence it just will not sound 'correct'. Personally, for me, I'm super @n@l about sound quality which is why I always buy my music on a CD. (never from iTunes, or other subscription services) just simply because I don't like compressed music. When I rip the music to my computer, I always use either a WAV, FLAC, or some other lossless encoding to prevent the music from being compressed---But then again, that's just me. What I'd suggest is, if the music that is being effected is MP3, find the CD that it came from and play back the original source (Mastered Material) as that's probably where your problem is coming from. Hope this helps, and good luck!
  6. Hello, I have been researching the Klipsch RF-83's for a long time, and I finally decided that I will be purchasing a pair very soon. (Within the next week or so) But before I do so, I would like to know whether the H/K AVR-146 (The amp I currently have) would would have enough power to be able to properly drive them, or if it would be wise for me to purchase another amp. (Say, the H/K AVR-354 that has 75 watts/channel) I will be using the speakers mainly for music, (though I will use them for movies and TV as well); Incase you don't know, the Harman/Kardon AVR-146 has I believe 40 watts per channel of power in an 8 ohm load. If I can get any help, it would be much appreciated! Thanks!
