  1. Yes, the toe in was for the picture. Thanks again.
  2. Point taken, however, superiority/pride/judgement are as faulty as any character traits. You don't know me.
  3. I have to agree, it could look better, but I just fell in love with the angle. I think it is interesting.
  4. Thanks, The viewing position is about nine feet and the room is about 13 feet deep. Its pretty tight and I'm looking forward to a dedicated theater when we move.
  5. Hope you enjoy a little bit of my theater. I like this picture and I hope you do to.
  6. Ray, I've owned them now for about six month and have nothing but good to say. Also, with them being discontinued, I think you should get a great deal.
  7. I have a lot of feelings about the present and this movie made me think more deeply and have consideration for things I don't know that much about. I like action and suspense so this movie satisfied me on those levels as well. Please tell me about your reactions/ideas.
  8. SACD...I'm maybe going to loose $750.00 in a coin toss. Many people warned me about a mod for $750.00 that will be a waste of money but I love my Sony CD595 so much I had to take the chance that this man can perform the magaic that some claim he can. Just think I could have put "No Fool" on my graveston with the money. Well I've still got time to become a great recording artist but the "fool" will still have to be omitted unless....???? I promise to give an honest report inasmuchas I am capable.
  9. Bought a cheap Sony CE595 SACD player and much to my surpise works well and makes my listening pleasure all the more. Have any of you got the mod for this done that is supposed to provide a huge improvement in quality. I've heard some things and ready to plunk down several hundred dollars to gain what is touted as thousands in improvement. Please tell me its true...better yet tell me the truth.
  10. I'm sorry there was a misunderstanding, I don't have an RC-7...I saw a black one on the forum for 500.00 under the heading "Price Reduction-collection". Reply directly to colterphoto1@aol.com serious only Also, I saw one on another site "Canuck Audio Mart" with a pair of RF7s that he was willing to sell as separates. Hope that helps. Shake777
  11. What do you think about using a speaker selector to run both the RC 7 and 64 together. Reason is I just love my 64 but if theres a hole in sound I want to fill it up. Shake777
  12. I know this is an old post and it won't matter to Freak Nasty. Yet I thought it would be worth my 2 cents anyway. I checked with Klipsch support on this very question and was told that "after testing the two at home...the RC64 sounded more natural and...both were excellent with the center dialog". So given the raves of the RC64 I chose it and it sounds fine. There may be a gap in the seam that I can't hear. It may be that the RC7 makes for more seamless sound but the RC64 is superior and nullifies this point. Certainly, this is pure conjecture on my part. I guess if I had an RC7 I wouldn't spend the extra $ on an RC64
  13. I suppose its a moot point at this late date, but Klipsch support recommended the RC64 saying that he tested both with the RF7 and the RC64 was "more natural...both did and excellent job with the center dialog". I would be hard pressed to choose the RC64 again given the info you got from the previous posts. I am just passing along what I was told. I'm far from an expert but the RC64 sounds good with RF7. There may be a gap in the seam between the two that I can't hear. Like you I heard all the raves about the RC64 and chose them.
  14. With my AVR4306 I usually use Dolby D PLIIx C and PLIIx musi for CDs. I think there might be something technically incorrect about this but it seems to sound the best to me.
  15. I can't say enough about how much I enjoy my system, both the privilige of owning it and the pleasure of listening. Its a tremendous piece of technical achievement that is also a work of art. I listen as much as I can. I enjoy HT, music, and just plain old TV...mostly Discovery and HD Theater...a little football as well. I could go on about the pleasure it gives me but I've made my point. The forum is great. Its great to share ideas with people who also enjoy Klipsh and to learn from them. I also have a fine wife who supports my avocation. All things hard to live with in the world notwithstanding, my Klipsch system makes me happy.
