  2. Thanks Chris for the kind words

one other thing, most live sound engineers are not up to par as a recording engineer , I  recommend a recording engineer to help with the setup

recording engineers are more  tailored for clarity and definition, As opposed  to high SPL with live sound

and as  mentioned in previous post room preparation is one of the top things needed keep in mind sound reflection. Also good sound   Dampening material on the side and behind the speakers , also  sound traps in the corners of high ceiling corners

theres also a few good websites for DIY of making these things and also great DIY for speaker and rca cables

i can pm some links for you, not to sure on the  rules for posting websites on open fourm

if you could tell me your zip code I may be able to find a engineer close to you. Then you could speak to them and see if they could help you and the fees they charge

  3. Hello friends

i feel that if you are going to spend this kind of cash,  I think it would be far more cost affected to buy a plane ticket and see someone's system that's on the level of what your wanting

i think spending a few hundred on a plane ticket would save you 2 times that in the  knowledge that you would receive on the trip

you could also pay a audio engineer that is local to you to help you setup the crossovers and the input and output levels. I used to charge 75.00 per hour for doing this here around Orlando. BUT don't go to the bestbuy newbies, get a  real studio engineer. He or she will have the right tools to do the job and show you the how's and whys of tuning it as you add gear

  4. I just picked up these two sherbourn items

first is a sherbourn PT-7010a in the box with remote

and the sherbourn 7 channel amp model  7/2100A. At 115lbs is going to be a pain to place near or in my  entertainment system

what I'd like to know is it even worth using this preamp? I got both of these units in a trade ( yes I got the better end of the deal ) lol

i know that  there's no longer any support for this unit and also it does not have HDMI inputs or outputs which is no big deal I run everything through the TV

what I'd like to know is the quality of the sound out of this up to par with what is out today keeping in mind I'm on a limited budget and can't go out and buy a brand-new preamp with all the new bells and whistles

and the denon unit I have does not have the pre outputs to use the amp

  7. I have a set of them up for sale. Much better shape. Very big to ship. They sound pretty good and with the right placement you can get some very good bass out of them. And the high are pretty good. By the looks of those. The price is way to high. Maybe 50 to 75. They need tons of work on them

  8. The color of them was unreal. Ever sense I had those I keep looking for other Klipsch in that finish. I'm going to build a new horn sub for my 15" Dayton drive. I made a text box and it sound pretty good. Just needs fine tuning. I will do it in a cherry finish.

  9. It says a pair. Old dear friend of mine that past away had 2 sets of them. WOW. They sounded awesome. He ran them off of some old crown 100 amps
