  1. Good info. One last question. The sub has 3 profiles Night,Music, and Movie. In each profile you can set the phase, gain, and lowpass frequency. Do I have to manually change the setting if I go from a movie source to a music source?. Or would you keep all the profiles settings identical and a we discussed let the receiver control what it sends to it?
  2. While we are on the subject of the RW-10d. does the sub choose a profile according to the signal it recieves from the receiver. I noticed when I was listening to sirius radio through my directv channels and the receiver is set to stereo. Only the 2 front channels have output When I sitched the channel to a directv concert, the sub kicked in. Is that because the signal had a low frequency signal that the sub detected. If so ifthe receiver is set to lets say jazz, will it use the music setting from the sub, and If I switch to a movie or tv will it switch to the sub profile "movie'??
  3. I think I get it now. Set the lowpass to max to allow the sound processor to be able to use the full range of the sub.
  4. I think I see my problem. With the surround processor's cross over conrtolling the output to the sub I need to have he lowpass or LFE set to off.
  5. Let me try and under stand this.... If I set the lowpass at 70. It will allow all the signal that is 70 and below, and omit the ladder? I had it set at 50 and it had a constant hum during movies.(hard to explain) May be a gain issue too. I am waiting delivery of a new Yamaha surround processor.(with a YPAO) Im sure this will help me get the correct balance. I don't seem to have as much of a problem when listening to music. I reall like the extra push from the sub with the Heresy's I really can't believe I havn't upgraded my sub t'ill now. I have a lot of reading to do. Still learning! My current sub position in behind and to the left of the left front. Thanks
  6. Think I found my answer. Heresy 1 woofers will go down to 50hz. I think I will play around and see what sounds best to me. any opinions would still be nice
  7. Does any one have an opinion on where to set the lowpass filter on my RW-10d to gel with my Heresy 1's. What is the low end frequency of my Heresy 1 woofers?
  8. I think I will leave facebook for my wife... Thats all she does lately.
  9. Check out the Samsung DLP line with the model number ending in 750. I am not sure how lomg they will still make these, but I just bought a HL-67A750 DLP.. It uses LED lights instead of the bulbs. So, according to Samsung the LED's will last as long as the TV(10+ yrs) I absolutely love it. If you have the room for the DLP, I think thats the way to go. Much less $$$$$$$
  10. I felt I needed to express my gratitue towards member JHOAK for refunding my payment that, initially I was unhappy about. Even though it was my lack of knowlwdge that caused my un-happinss. I bought a pair of risers for my Heresy 1's risers. I thought that all the risers were the slanted type. I did not know that there are also flat risers. When I recieved them I kind of thought that I had been taken. To make a long story shorter, Jeff (jhoak) refunded my payment and told me to keep the risers and do what I wanted with them. I really believe that Klipsch owners are a different breed of people. Thanks again to Jeff Hoak for restoring my faith in humanity, and human kindness.
  11. Budman, Great info. thanks a bunch. I only have 1 damaged grill. The cloth from BEC seems the way to go. If mine hasn't faded. thanks again P.S. I thoght my Heresey 1's were old (1980) Another thught, since you have Heresey 1's, have you upgraded them to Heresy 3 guts. If you have do you think its worth it?. I still love the sound that mine have.
  12. I have a small hole in one of my Heresy 1 grills. I am trying to find out is the Heresy 3 has the same dimension as the Heresy 1. Also, If yes can I get them from Klipsch?
