  1. The bigger the party, the worse the hangover.  Time for the reckoning back in the US which will likely be a hand slap. He will come back, pay his dues and grab another multi million dollar movie opportunity probably based soley on that awesome friggin' beard!!!

I believe the 'star whackers' began their pursuit shortly after cousin Eddie 'forgot' to pay his rent.  :)

... for that the several months of his tenancy.

I believe, based on other recent photos, that beard is the 'cleaned up trimmed version'.

  3. First Cousin Eddie gets arrested here in Canada. Twice, including once in Montreal. Nobody ever gets arrested in Montreal. Now he and his wife get arrested whilst heading back into the USA in their 'tenement on wheels'.

I'm  guessing the 'star whackers'  and his last two former landlord's are still after him too.

    See: http://www.etcanada.com/blogs/etc_161222/randy-quaid-detained-by-canada-border-services-agency-in-montreal/celebs/

What this means? Look for his comeback soon in Independence Day II.  :)

  4. 4 more contracts to build homes that will guarantee one more month of profitability for the year! Drill baby drill (reference to gas exporation going on in the areas that I build)

At $45 Green per bbl of light crude here.. and less for the heavy sour stuff nobody's doing much drilling or anything else except chopping and hacking down the staff counts. :(

  5. When I purchased my Heresy III's a short time ago, I refreshed my memory on the tenants of PWK regarding the placement of his speaker designs for proper stereo reproduction and maximum performance. Although unable to have corner placement, I spaced them wide apart, on the floor, against the wall and at a 45 degree toe in. Long story short: bass to 40hz, using the Pure Audio setting on the AVR, no subwoofers or Audyssey involved, the sound on music is just great. I have owned all of the Heritage series speakers off and on over the past 35 years or so. IMO, if you cannot place Heritage speakers as above, or in corners, as PWK recommended, you are seriously compromising their performance. Anybody that finds Heresy's bass shy needs to start from scratch on their placement. If corner placement makes them too bass heavy, do the un-audiophile thing and use your bass control to turn it down a notch or two. I had Heresy II's and got rid of them after doing all of the audiophile approved tricks that I now know were wrong. So happy to be back on the right track with these Heresy III's.

It also helps to choose the right music. For example Big Bad Barry White. :emotion-29:  :emotion-29:

  6. The women that run the place around her have all departed to do whatever the Heck it is they do when I'm not around. Shopping for more shoes or something like that.

The bar is open and the joint is rock'n at max volume to two full watts of 45 SET goodness! :emotion-22:  :emotion-22:  :emotion-22:  :emotion-22:  :emotion-46:  :emotion-22:  :emotion-46:  :emotion-22:  :emotion-46:  :emotion-22:

For anyone that might be contemplating a purchase, I just tried to order a pair but Bob is sold out. He is out of the B&C DE120 drivers and does not expect them until December.

I was 10 minutes late so congrats to whoever got the last pair.

I may be one of the guilty parties!  When I emailed Bob Crites two days ago about his newest tweeters he said he only had a couple pairs left and suggested I claim a pair right away.  I did; expecting delivery next week.

Damned scalawag's! Also grabbing the last full share when they should be swabbing the deck or walking the plank!!  ;)

  8. You guys seem to get off on low light pictures of vacuum tubes instead of beautifully lit hot chicks.  It is disturbing, and weirdly nerdy.  Carry on.

Thanks, that's because I'm not getting better. Just older.

The "Something Fishy" thought comes to mind here.

K's for a grand do not come around very often, much less other goodies included in the deal

Yes the OP better not get his hopes up on this one.  :)

On one of my performance reviews back in my military days, the XO wrote that i have “incredible perception.” He said i could read a person accurately. I’ve lost that talent here though…

Impossible to perceive someone through text alone.

Only if they are incapable of expressing themselves through text alone.

An inability to discern sarcasm doesn't help either.  :)

Good for killing mechanical vibration. Another one of those things -- are film and foils microphonic? That's why I use oil filled caps, I don't have to worry about it, and no poo!

Why not just use thick 2 sided tape between things? The good stuff comes in white, doesn't get brittle for decades and is easily removed with some bare wire if used Luca Brasi style.

You could also use a knife, Sollozzo style.....

Luca used to say 'never bring a knife to a gun fight'. It was the garrote that did him in.

    Sadly Sonny wasn't listening. :emotion-41:

Split window '63.... regulations will not let us see this anytime soon. On the plus side, it just makes this design even more iconic.

    Stunning!

What ever happened to modern(ism)? 1930 to about 1965 and then an awful descent into retro-Victorian utilitarianism.

I prefer the understated 1967. Preferably in Red and motivated by the highest output aluminum head 427 V8 Chevrolet could jam between the inner fenders for drag racing  or motivated by the highest output small block for straightening out curves. 4 speed manual trans in either case.  :emotion-51:

We now have three different ways of upgrading the top section of a Heritage Loudspeaker. I understand that John's is specific to the Klipschorn, but still ... If I were a complete novice, it would be difficult for me to examine these various solutions and make an informed choice, since the vendors haven't done anything to help me understand what the differences are, why they matter, and why one should be chosen over another. Just an observation.

    I see your point Dean.

However, it is very difficult to point out differences, deficiencies, or points of interest, without attacking each others products.

I depend on my ears to tell me what I like better. Works for me.

  14. Wolfbane...you'd better not watch this you tube clip that i saw once...MCSabbath...it's a black sabbath cover band; but, all the musicians dress like mcdonalds characters....Ronald is the lead singer, then theres the hamburgler, etc...

the only one with any legitmate credibility is mayor mccheese...i mean, he's a mayor.

Uncle Buck (aka John Candy) knew how to deal with clowns.

Especially when they slow up at the door having driven drunk in their little mouse-car to your nephew's kid birthday party.  :emotion-22:

    Classic!!  :)
