  1. Is it safe to say we have a design flaw here and speaker terminals should redesigned for an optimal speaker wire connection? http://images.marketplaceadvisor.channeladvisor.com/hi/68/68411/pt3010.3.jpg
  2. Potato skin connectors!?!! " Kazakhstan greatest country in the world, All other countries are run by little girls. Kazakhstan number one exporter of potassium, all other countries have inferior potassium." - Borat Hey JB Are you going to order pizza?

  4. If anyone has attempted to work with a coax cable for there television and had any form of snow, poor video quality, interference etc... we all know sometimes moving the cable around the connector or just tightening the screw would improve the signal would do the trick. Although this can't me measured, lets face it works since the connection has improved on the copper core. Even when a USB connection is inserted, it has a light feel that slightly locks into place at the end of connection. It's not as if we're still using a flathead on a screw to connect our wiring now awadays (maybe electrical ) ). Bannana plug = better connection. Therefore better connection would improve better signal even though and proud owner of a pair of rocket fishes. It also stops loose treads from breaking then having to go back and recut wire.
  5. Hello all. So I have a pioneer SC-05 and after a whole shpeel of manual reading, I get to www.radio-pioneer.com Has anyone signed up for this? Is this worth getting? I noticed this differs from the internet radio. Thanks again everyone
  6. Tooshay Boomerang boy and good luck on your horn hunting (that's alliteration). I would never buy a bose in this or any of my reincarnated lives. I own a SVS PB2-ISD so I like my house shaken, not sturred. It's Bond....James Bond. DUUUNN! DUUUNN!
  7. Actually meant 3 8inch woofers. The Acoustimass series.
  8. Phase control will take care of the LFE latency. Anything over 12 is too boomy for myself. After countless hours of reasearch, usually one woofer is not enough and since I love the bose sub which i beleive is closed and usually carries 3 inches. I surely wanted something with at least two drivers. Then I saw the mother of all subs. The SVS PB2-ISD that has two 12's. This thing shakes the house SEAMLESSY since it is overbuilt. SVS (And other vendors)seemed to cut down design on their newer models and I have read from few reveiws the Klipsch RT-10D shakes around since it doesn't have enough weight. To top it off we now have receivers using .2 and plus more sub channels. Is the industry choking our chain or should there be front, left, right and rear sub speakers.
  9. Hey duder. Anyone, please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but after poking around with the receiver settings and checking out the manual, it seems setting the speakers to small will forward all low frequencies solely to the subwoofer and no longer the suppossed large towers. Now turning up the crossover to its highest level, i would think, is just an ok precaution measure knowingly you would only receive 80 (or whatever you set the SW crossover on the MCACC) torward the sub. I was messing with the x over frequency on the receiver and the options are 80, 100, and 150 so i could not have used 120. I couldn't hear/ feel a difference between this. Maybe i just had to much bass for one day. As FYI I was reading an avs forum chat where MCACC does not handle the sub .1 channel. If this is true, this is awkwird that it would supposedly handle full band phase control but not fine tuning your sub frequency.
  10. OK. I followed your advice and I am shock and awe. All I did in addition the above in MCACC was leaving the speakers set to large and then changing the sub setting from yes to plus. This allowed any bass to be sent to the large speakers AND the sub. I popped in transformers 2 and within 15 min of all the transforming and fighting I am now a believer. Not only did I feel the entire room vibrate with ease but I also felt low frequencies being thrown dircectly under me from the floor. After the movie i was left twitching. Thanks for the help wuzzer. I greatly appreciate.
  11. I never heard the F3's but I've noticed their usually bunch of these in stock at best buy. I personally think youd be happier with the RF series. I just noticed a pair of 52's on ebay with 30 bids and counting. http://cgi.ebay.com/KLIPSCH-RF52-FLOOR-STANDING-SPEAKERS_W0QQitemZ130338821379QQcmdZViewItemQQptZSpeakers_Subwoofers?hash=item1e58cc9503
  12. I'd reccommend checking ebay and getting a nice pair of klipsch tower speakers with with bire and a nice digital receiver. I only have two RF-62 setup on my receiver and the nice thing about recevier is that once the sound caliberation is done, it throws sound to the back as if i had rear speakers. I was is shock when i heard sound coming from the back of my room.
  13. Hello all. I just got my hands on a SVS PB2-ISD subwoofer now with my pioneer SC-05 and RF-62's. I'm attempting to get punchy base out of this box but I run MCCAC setup (which is recommended by the SVS manual) while having it 1/3rd up, i then hear the rumble then MCCAC says the sub volume is too high. so i drop the gain lightly to 1/4 and sound test finishes up fine. I have my sub in the front lof corner against both walls since this is what is recommended in general. i just dont feel that extra umph of LFE that should be coming out my towers and the sub. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  14. Hey everyone. I'm looking into the RT-10D as a sub but I can't seem to find any review material online and not much on the forum. The XW-500D just seems to be a watered down (quarter juice) version. Any advice, good or bad stories? Thanks for the support and happy listening.
  15. Doesn't F-Series use Aluminum tweets that range up to 23KHz?
