I thought they were Chicago Mag. Ive used the triode iron in the kit (built one 5+ years ago). Very good iron exceeding the OE dynacos.

A question or two for the turntable gurus

Vpi classic, vpi Scott with classic plater and ortofon 2m blue. Or Rega rp3. I like vpi personally. -
Really nice 1875 kit... was exploring chip amps and have had great results with the 1875. Very tube like... not fatiguing at all. 100% new, fully discrete component based, no ICs to go bad. Incredibly quite, 20watts RMS at -1db 10hz to 45khz. Oversized power transformer and power supply. Ive run playing for a week straight and was only Luke warm. Asking $300. Justin 323-868-9722

PAS3 line stage New Tube Preamp based on Dyanco PAS3 circuit. 100% new. Consisting of 2 12AX7s for a single gain stage per channel and 1 12X4 tube rectifier for the warmth of class tube preamps. 3 line level inputs and 2 output. Alps Volume pot. All inputs are shielded with careful attention to grounding. Power supply is dead silent and robust enough for any challenging transient peeks. (Modern designed power supply). Tone controls have been removed with gain adjusted. This is the purists' tube pre. . . no tape loop or tone controls, just tube warmth and silent backgrounds. New tube set included. Brand new. Selling at cost. I also have a version with a phonostage Priced for a quick sale $600 plus shipping. Justin 323-868-9722

ampsandsound Big Ben with NOS tubes - $800
justinsweber replied to Jason Todd's topic in Garage Sale
All depends on what tubes you run. Thats said, I run the amp in Triode so its lower output then in pentode mode. 6L6GCs ~ 4watts per ch. EL34s ~ 5watts per ch. KT88 7-8 watts per ch. All of my amps are extreemly quite and very wide bandwidth. Hope this helps.- 22 replies

Fastlane Audio Cornscala Project started.
justinsweber replied to justinsweber's topic in Technical/Restorations
Ive built the 2 way version more than a few times and own the orig Fastlane 2way cornscala still. I perfer a 2way and I have to turn down the HF a great deal. This 3way is fantactic, but I wanted to build it as the very best I could. I could have been equally happy as a 2way. Ive only used AP12-500 -
Decommissioned cornscalas see new life
justinsweber replied to justinsweber's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
Nah. They were collecting dust and getting dinged up. We replaced the Veener is 2 places. Now it's a stunner. But I'm in process of build 2 more pair. I need a 4th Cornscala like another kidney stone ;-) -
Decommissioned cornscalas see new life
justinsweber replied to justinsweber's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
We did the veener and the intial finishing, but I wanted perfect and sent them out. We did start on the top. -
These were decommissioned and the guts put into some single cabs... I could stand for them to hangout in my garage and so off to my finisher they went. He really out did himself... came back super pretty. Have some Pyle 2" that sound great in 3way form and some the Dayton Polymides, Eminence Kappa 15Cs and getting some cornscalawals. Should be pretty cool.
