That is a great price for some Forte II's. I bought and sold mine for more.

Very quick, great price. Congrats to St.Louis Duc.

Congrats on the sale.

rpampt- Sorry to hear about the loss of the vault. I have done business in the past with the guy who bought your CW's. He seems like a standup guy. I am shocked he just let it go to the delivery company. Like coulter said, I would have also taken the vault in and held onto it for another forum member to use if I had known what your buyer was going to do with it.

Very nice work.

Congrats on getting the 82's. The RS 52s will match up perfectly with them.
-
Alex- I live about 20 minutes or so away from the Klipsch HQ in Indy.
I mostly listen to 2 Channel, which I have CF3's, Forte II's, and some KG II's. All three sets of those speakers were purchased from listings off this forum.
For HT, I have RF 82 II's, RC64 II, and RS 52 II's.

Great haul on speakers. Enjoy.

Nice speakers. Wish you were closer.
GLWTS.

I have ordered a diaphragm, which should take care of the problem. Thanks for your willingness to assist.
-
Not looking for anything free or am I being cheap, Moray. But thanks for your assistance. No cold soldier joint. Looks like the ebay listing you gave for the diaphragm fits the bill. I went ahead and ordered that. Thanks..

Yeah, I saw that. That is more than I would like to spend

I need a KG2 tweeter. If anyone has an extra laying around, please let me know.
Thanks.

No way I could meet the 6 day pick up requirement right now. Still a little too far for me to drive anyway. Plus, gonna be a lot of work to refinish.

and you shoulda seen her sister!!
sorry.....
smokin' hot!

Good price for that unit. I paid that much for an older model.

Watching it gives me the impression that regardless of any decision Cortland makes, he will find a way to run that company in the ground. Really feel for the workers though, especially the guy who got talked into staying on.

Gents
This is the infamous Chuck Williams here in Indy - a complete POS, a social misfit, a maggot.
Read all about what you have experienced and more here:
Thanks for posting. You just cannot make this stuff up. There was also a twenty something page thread on Audiokarma about him.

I think we should invite him to Hope.
Then he might miss a sale at his Irvington Flea market booth.
-
Sounds like Chuck to me. My only experience with him is he slammed the phone down on me a few years back. But a few of my local friends have been on the receiving end of his vile emails.

I was able to pick a pair of Mach1's up at a garage sale for 10 bucks. They needed refoaming. I had never refoamed a set of speakers before, so if nothing else, I learned how to refoam from these speakers, which I will be eternally grateful. They did not sound bad, but like others have said, the Fortes are in another league. I sold them a couple months after I refoamed them.

Congrats on the K-horns. I will be 50 next year and that is what I want to get myself for my birthday,
-
Very nice looking speakers. I have heard nothing but good things about Salks. I am going to have to hear some one day.

Moray- Thanks for posting the schematics.
Klipsch Boxes
in Garage Sale
Posted
First, thank you for your service. I have one RF 82 box you can have, if you can make it to the Indy area. I believe all the Styrofoam and other packing the factory used is in the box as well. I am not sure what happened to the other box. Where are you located and how soon do you need them? Maybe we can get someone to pony express it to you.
