  1. I bet they are "Lame" Kiffin's. He left town in such a hurry that he forgot he'd ordered 'em. Just send 'em on to USC; he'll need something to sing the blues with when the NCAA Infractions Committee comes down on his and USC's a$$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Roll Tide! Who's ya daddy?????????????
  2. I think you can pretty much take what the "Wuzzer" tells you to the bank. He's helped me out a ton on ?'s I've had installing my new HT. Just thought I'd throw that in. Khorn lover......
  3. I need some suggestions on a good, amp cooling fan. Do I want a DC fan and an AC-DC transformer? What about a USB powered fan that I can plug into my Samsung BDP 1500 or a VAC fan and plug into the switched outlet on the amp? Thanks
  4. I think a while back some forum member with a lot of savy was discussing how to connect speakers for a 5.1 system to a 7.1 receiver like the Marantz 5004 I've got ordered. I can't find that thread anymore. Also, what's an ignorant hillbilly got in store in connecting and configuring this receiver? Sometimes these owner manuals may as well be in Greek.
  5. Does anybody know if the Klipsch RW 12 D subwoofer is shipped with a subcable and if it is, is it worth using or need upgrading?
  6. Thanks for the comment about Bama being a class act. I've always had the absolute upmost respect for Joe Pa and his program, as classy as any in the country and much classier than most. I don't know any program which is more concerned about graduation rates with as many wins as PSU has.
  7. I noticed a Penn State boggan on the Snow Bunny. We'll see you in Tuscaloosa in September!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ROLL TIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Hey, Georgia boy, I just ordered an RC-64 myself and, like you, I can't wait for it to get here. Wish I could measure and tell you but I can't, YET! You know it would be better to wait for it to arrive and then start your stand, BUT I KNOW YOU CAN'T DO IT! Khorn lover.
  9. Thanks, Smokarz, that's what I was thinking too..........I believe I'll keep the Khorn though. You wouldn't want it, it's probably older than you are.
  10. Lately I've noticed no output from the left front speaker (a Khorn) at times. If I make a sudden increase then decrease in volumn manually with the volumn knob on the amp, it starts output again and will continue until I shut the HT off. Sound like old Khorn or old Onkyo problem???????????????
  11. Thanks, guys, for all the input on my HT "upgrade" question. They're not here yet, but I ordered a Marantz SR 5004, Klipsch RC 62 centre speaker, and a Klipsch RW 10 d subwoofer. I have Khorns for fronts and Heresyies for rear surround. I wanna get my satellite receiver, DVD recorder-VCR combo, Blu-ray player, CD player all connected and I need some help I think. The satellite and DVD/VCR combo units don't have much in the way of inputs/outputs so I need to maximize what I've got. I thought: there is no HDMI in on the DVD/VCR recorder so I run either component or S-video out of the sat. receiver in to the DVD/VCR recorder with the L and R audio cables. I thought HDMI out from the DVD/VCR recorder to one of the HDMI "ins" on the Marantz. There is only one HDMI out on the Marantz so I figure it is earmarked for the HDMI input on the HDTV. For just "non-serious" watching of the news etc.,do I need another ouput from the DVD/VCR recorder directly to my HDTV or not? Is there also any reason to run an output from the sat. receiver to the Marantz as well as to the DVD/VCR recorder? I use the Blu-ray for playback only so I figure HDMI out of the Blu-ray to another one of the HDMI ins on the Marantz will be fine with this. Even "I" know what to do with the CD player!! Thanks in advance for any advice on my connections. I'm not all that savvy with this stuff so when all my stuff comes in, I want as little grief as possible connecting and getting to the "enjoyment" part!
  12. I want to upgrade my home theatre system and would like some knowledgeable advice. I have a 20+ year old Onkyo receiver that I have been using to power a "makeshift" arrangement of front Klipsch Cornerhorns and a pair of Heresyies for the rear speakers. I don't even have a center speaker. What would be a good A/V Receiver and center speaker for me? Do I even need to consider any 7.1 models as I don't plan on any front high or middle speakers?
