anyone? Iam having a little buyers remorse, i had to drive 50 minutes each way to get these. I see how low they were for black friday. Also is the bezel around the drivers actually part of the driver or something i can replace? Please someone comment.

How do you guys feel about using tower speakers for surrounds? Also how do you think these will match with the fronts i have? I have RF-82s for fronts with a rc-62 and i just picked up these F-3s. What are disadvantages or benefits of using tower speakers for surrounds. Any comments will be appreciated. Also a ring around one of the drivers in the f-3 has a small cracked (from transport i think), how can i go about getting this replaced?

Wow this is a blast from the past. A 42'' 1080p plasma for $1500. Lol now you can get the 58'' for that price. DeanG you have a dif tv now or the same one? For anyone who does not like the black bars i have found a solution that works for me. Get a bigger tv!! (just realized how much i would like to go bigger from my 52'')

I am in the same boat as you although i am not in as big of a rush because i would like to get another $100 in my receiver fund first. Anyways what i am doing is waiting for something the next step up from the 1910 or the 765 to hit low $400. If i were to decide between those two though i would probably go with the 765 but only because it has preouts. The denon looks better imho but that doesnt mean too much. Good luck and let us know what you decide. Oh also another option is to wait and i am sure the denon 790 will be $300 flat eventaully.

I have two velodyne dps-10 subwoofers. I bought one new and placed 4 small little feet on the bottom of it. Also bought a used dps-10 on craigslist that does not have the little feet and thus sits flat on the carpet (both subs are on carpet). I have seen people buy small little subwoofer stands just to get them off of the ground. Where is the best place to buy these for the cheapest? What kind of approvement will i see? Should i find some make shift adhesive feet to put on my footless sub?

I really do not remember this movie too much except for Crowe plays the Cello or violin or something. So there are sick scenes that have great sound? Like puking in Hd sound?[+o(]

I doubt i will make it any time soon jrod but who knows what will happen when i graduate. I would really like to find someone here in michigan who has a rc-64 that i could come over and demo for 15 minutes. Would not mind hearing some 63s or 83s. To tell you the truth i really have no idea how much sound my 82s can handle.

JROD what is this, first you say how the HD mix is amazing on master and comander so now i am waiting until i get a new receiver to watch it. Now you are saying that it utilizes the rears for amazing sound and i do not have klipsch rears[:@] Maybe i cannot watch this movie for a year! I finally get to see your setup after staring at that avatar. First impression. OMG that rc-64 fits so good up there. My rc-62 has not even arrived yet and i have a terrible lust for the 64. Seriously you have some great speakers going there. You did not give pictures of the surrounds[] okay anyways second impression; that integra looks really nice. Does the receiver have any heating issues? Well if you are going to take pics of the surrounds you might as well take a close up of that. I think it is going to be atleast a couple of months before i get to watch master and commander (i need the hd codecs and cleaner power) but i am still aching to. Are the legos yours? JK you must have great kids because your speakers seem to be in perfect condition.

I dont have much knowledge on the inwalls but i know you should get a matched center with your towers. The center is the most important part of the system. There are stands specifically made for the rc-64 i believe. Do yourself and get the rc-64 if your are set on the rf-83s. You will not regret it. Also it is a good idea to listen to different subwoofers before you buy but i know almost everyone who buys SVS are happy with them.

Youtman i can see where you were not getting great sound projection with your rear speakers mounted so high and outputing the sound straight over your head. You have a great home theater, did you have it in mind when you were having the house built or was it a room in a house that you bought?

I had my rc-52 for all of one day before i had to get a rc-62. Your front L and R are just a notch above my rf-82s, you are going to want to upgrade. Sold my rc52 for $220 locally you should try to do the same. We have tons of knowledge on how to mount a rc-62 []

So you did not notice a difference stepping up to HD codecs in movies??? So are you returning the amp or plan on selling it?

I wonder if you have somewhat of a faulty unit. Does anyone have a opinion on the VSX-21TXH? I have about $250 saved up for a receiver and eventually want to get up to the $500 mark. Think i will ever find a tx-sr807 for 500?

Get yourself a quality one for cheap at www.monoprice.com. I tore off the red and white cable off of a monster composite cable leaving just the video cable. They work fine

haha i believe this is the second time you have given me encouraging advice that trys to leave me satisfied with my purchases. The only thing is that this is at the expense of getting a new receiver any time soon

mhhmm i really want one, maybe i will start to look for one now so i can eventually find one in my price range. Looks like a great receiver how many watts is this rated at 175? Is this a comparable amp to say the tx-sr707? Oh i also really want to watch master and commander now but do not want to do it until i get a new receiver . POST PICTURES!!!!

i think you can still get the 665 for $299. I can hook you up with the info if you want. CNET says the 665 does not sound great but i dont buy into that too much.

a denon or onkyo will sound as good as the pioneer

You could do better than that receiver for $500 i think. Order something online from a reputable authorized dealer. Look at the onkyo tx-sr707 or the denon avr890 or whatever the next step up is from this pioneer unit.
