  1. alienware. you attached the cables into the back without any plug? you got any pictures? i would also like to know where you got this monster cable, sounds really good.
  2. its not really that much. an extra 150 for the center. well actually 175 after taxes and ship but all together it will cost me 400 for the 6.2 setup. thats not that bad.
  3. hey friend. why u want one thats that long? are you putting your control pod that far away from your sub/pctower? satellite placement doesn't mean your control pod has to go with it.
  4. any ideas on how to mount them? i dont wanna screw over it or just tape it around which would make it ugly. anyone wit some good ideas?
  5. i think u gotta let it kick in too.. meaning your new set of 4.1
  6. yea i got the plugs too. radio shack part number 274-868 and the 16 gauge wire, but how do i attach these things?
  7. but for that price and the fact that it is so damn bulky (100 pounds) i wouldn't get it.
  8. i dont know how thats gonna work. cuz the satellites have different voltage. maybe amy can answer this question for us. i'll fool around with it tho. i'll let u know once i receive the speakers, klipsch already sent me the tracking numbers.
  9. sorry, forgot to add this. skim the xp is a great card not only because it has the external box which allows easy usb attachments for your game controllers but it also comes with the powerdvd(full version which includes free upgrades in the future) the powerdvd might support 8 channels in the future with updated drivers so you can use the headphone outs as another channel for speakers. then im taking back my other half of the 4.2 and throwing them in with my whole setup ehhe. hopefully powerdvd comes up with the 8 channel support soon.
  10. skim, i just ordered the 4.2 from klipsch. when i get it all setup i'll let you know how it goes. i already got the mono to rca adapter i hope this doesnt diminish the sound quality. i doubt it would. i will post once i receive them from klipsch.
  11. thats good insight iamyourzero. billyjean who owns a santa cruz told explain to me how the 2.1 added with the 4.1 setup wouldn't be too great because of apossible cross over with the lfe channel. basically if the lfe had a seperate output then it would be good. im not sure tho because i dont own that card but i will have the 6.2 setup real soon. once i can gather up 350 dollars for the 4.2
  12. skim, thats the setup im about to do. i already own the v2 400 and im about to order the 4.2 to have one part of it go as my center channel and the other half go into my other comp. cant wait. the audio card i currently use is the xp. i love this card and there is no way you shouldn't pay the extra 50 for it over the phillips. go check out the features man, its harder to find but great price for so many things. what im trying to do now is upgrade my speaker wire, that would finish up my whole setup.
  13. hey i need some help with surround!! i have sb live xgamer with the pros, cant seem to get surround, do i have to attach the digital and audio cables from the dvd into my sound card? i only have the cables from my regular cd rom attached, not the dvd. i have the old creative dvd as well but i dont have the dxr2 card installed because i use my matrox g400's dvd player cuz the video adapter has dvd. theres no surround =<[bR>let me know if u can help. thanks
  14. bulgoogy, just stick all the wires in? wouldn't that not be too safe? shouldn't there be some screw on that sticks the wire in? i seen some 1/4" plugs that are like that but none that are 1/8". if the wire suddenly slips out, speakers can be blown. let me know man. thanks
  15. same here, i want to be able to use 16 gauge speaker wires. how do i go about doing this? i just installed the cp-1 i can definitely see a difference in performance. now for the 16 gauge speaker wires, someone please inform me on how to do this. i checked at radio shack, the ppl there are so ridiculously dum, they dont know what soldering is. well i dont either hehe but still they work there they should. can someone put up instructions on how this is done and with what tools. deeply appreciated. thanks
  16. Anyone got the game theater xp? well im gonna pick it up but does anyone have it and know anything about it?
  17. ok i found it myself hehe. gametheater xp i will purchase and let everyone who is interested know about it if there are any of you around.
  18. Hi, what do you guys think is the best sound card available to match up with the promedias? i am currently using a sound blaster live xgamer. any suggestions on a better sound card or even the best one out there? thanks
  19. just try out all the techno. bass foreverrrrrrrrr
  20. yo, i know someone who got these in a 2001 m3. crazy nice but 8 of them? u gotta be kidding me haha
  21. from the control pod, two lines go into your comp, one for the front channels and one for ur rear channels, if u plugged them in right it should work if everything else u did was done correctly. also on your creative launcher, make sure u put surround sound or if u want 4 speakers the 4 speaker setting.
  22. you wanna check out how good that promedia sub is? just get some techno and watch the room shake
  23. its harder to read text on a tv screen and no one would wanna sit so close to a tv screen specially a 29 inch one. the tv out i use is basically just for when watching movies. if u plan on using a tvout for all cpu uses, i dont recommend.
