  1. Oh... Too bad. Now your surrounds won't match your front.
  2. Have klipsch send them right to me!!! Lol are they sending you rf62's or 62ii's?
  3. Have klipsch send them right to me!!! Lol
  4. Of course. Unless your room is really large and you need big volume then I wouldn't worry about it unless your not satisfied.
  5. Reminded me of black hawk down and independence day with worse acting.... But still fun
  6. Just watched these 2. Not bad I must say. I thought battle LA was gonna be kinda garbage. Had low expectations coming in so maybe that's why I liked it as much as I did. Adjustment Bureau got a little slow at times but all in all I'm a Matt Damon fan so it worked for me.
  7. Subxero.... I have not watched super 8 yet so can't comment on that. I have however watched a couple movies with true HD and I gotta say I thought it was superior to DTS. Maybe it was just because I was hearing something different? Not sure but I did like it better.
  8. I feel like the rc64 and the rf62's would be the best combo. 6 inch drivers all around. Nezff you have rf62's still don't you?
  9. I agree with nezff. I really like the rf62's as well. Especially if you have a sub. They have the same tweeter so the difference really is just more low end on the 82's. Take that $200 and increase your subwoofer budget.
  10. The onkyo tx nr709 is enroute to my house. I wanted the audyssey multi eq XT mostly and I had s need for s new avr so I figured I would upgrade the HT and slide the HT rc180 to the bedroom. $499 open box from onecall. Of course I'll give a quick review upon arrival. I am hoping the newer audyssey makes a difference
  11. Emotiva does have a trial period although I'm not sure how long. I think most people would be surprised how loud the onkyo can go while staying crystal clear. I like the emo but it does have a loud noise floor. Ask subxero about that.. Lol. Things absolutely sound different from space to space to so you may find you need the amp. Anyway looks like your system is coming together nicely. I was in the same boat as you. Going from start to synergy f-3 and the 608 to the rf7ii and the 3007 (now the HT rc180 and XPA-5). It moves fast I tell ya!
  12. Bud.... Killer deal. I would buy a 3008 for $750 in a second. Awesome deal. I had the 3007 and loved it (until it broke but that's another story). If you feel like selling it cause it sucks (sarcasm) let me know! Lol nice job finding a great avr. I didn't notice an improvement at all from my 3007 when I added the XPA-5. Try listening to the 3008 for a while... You may decide you font need an XPA-5.
  13. What kind of bear is best? That's a ridiculous question. False, black bear. That's debatable. There are basically two schools of thought.... Fact. Bears eat beets. Bears. Beets. Battlestar galactica.
  14. Nothing yet. Leaning towards the 709 for a couple reasons. 1. Accessories4less is a known and trusted seller to me while I never heard of rage electronics before. 2. For $90 difference I get a little more power and more functionality. Which will make it easier to sell down the road should I ever want to. The 3008 would be nice but I can't justify the extra $600-$800 price tag for what you get. If you could get a deal then that's a diffent story. For the price of the 3008 I could get the 709 and an XPA-5.
  15. So the seller is not selling anymore? Weird that they are a member of the klipsch forum but didn't know what sub they had or how much their speakers were worth. Something doesn't add up. Maybe someone here tipped the seller off about your post? Just can't understand how a forum member doesn't know what sub they have. Why would you buy that setup anc never use it but at thr same time be a member on a forum for said speakers? FWIW I don't feel $1000 is so far out of line. What you said in your initial post is true. They are an older model and have yet to read a post about how that series is superior to the newest.
  16. Yup. The trouble shooting says disconnect everything. Just spoke to local repair guy. He said it's probably component failure of some type since it won't reset. Dealer is 1.5 hours away so I'm shipping it out instead.
  17. Accessories4less 709 just went to free shipping
  18. http://rage-electronics.com/onkyo-ht-rc370-7.2-channel-network-a-v-receiver-ht-rc370.html Rage electronics $381 plus shipping for me that equals $410
  19. Well RCA cables for use with an amp or a subwoofer are both doing the same thing... Transmitting an audio signal. Check out monoprice.... And yes each channel gets it's own cable.
  20. Where are you buying the 709 from? I found it at vanns for $547 but they are out of stock right now. I use RCA cable for my amp. You don't have a choice really with most avr's. I buy all my cables from monoprice.com they are cheap and good quality. I think I'm gonna go for the 370. I don't need a second hdmi out or the other odds and ends you get with the 709. Like you said though most important is the multi eq XT.
  21. I was looking at the HT RC 370 as it is basically a 709 twin minus a few extras. I found one for $410 brand new. Had you considered that model?
  22. I did do the 60 minute reset procedure already. No luck. Accessories4less emailed me back and said to take it to a local repair center cause it is under warranty. Guess what I'm doing in the morning? Lol
