  1. Cornfed....not trying be disrespectful and I'm sorry if it came across that way. Do u think the terrorists that smoked the twin towers in the name of Allah just wanted more power huh? Umm wait what good is power if your dead. Hmmm guess it was religion. How about the Christian crusades? Your saying the church was just grabbing for power (not saying your wrong) but if that's the case how can you abide by a religion that has it's roots in such deeds? I absolutely do not believe in any kind of higher power (god). Nor do I follow any religion. I believe in what is known as the golden rule. Treat others how u would like treated in return.
  2. The Christian does not use logic to argue gods existence. They use words like faith and believe. They quote passages from the bible (a book written by man). Man created Christianity. I already said man created religion but I am trying to be more specific here so the point doesn't get lost. Religion is the worst WMD man ever invented. It has caused more deaths than anything else on earth. But hey, it has been a effective way to control population so I guess it's not all bad.
  3. Some men need a crutch to get through life. Some reason for what this life is or means. For them... Man created religion.
  4. Wow.... So your proof is from a book written by man? Good luck with that.
  5. ..... Or you can get an onkyo nr3007 for $825 on audiogon
  6. Accessories4less.....
  7. Yeah that's a great idea. My only issue is my rc64 Is not very big. I'll try them and post a pic. Did I mention how much I love the cherry veneer on the rc64ii? Great!
  8. You mean the mark2 feet they came with?
  9. You don't "need" an amp. Of course if you were to add a quality amp your sound quality would improve. That said your yammy will power the speakers judt fine. Klipsch speakers don't need a ton of power to sound good. Your choice of speakers is about $1800 different in price. 3 factors would drive my decision in your case. Room size/ price/ no amp.... I would go the 62/82 route. Honestly you have other choices as well. You could get the rf63's used for $1000 and an rc64 for $600. That would give you a great center channel and very nice fronts. You could even go for rf83's for about $1500 a set if you wanted to step up a little more. On pure looks I like the rf7ii.'s with the rc64ii. Very nice cabinets. If I was gonna spend $3000 on 3 speakers (7's) I would absolutely spend another $600 and get an xpa-3. Any one of those sets will be nice. The bigger you go the more presence and bass you'll get to so your sub choice becomes more important when you are going with smaller fronts. I currently have the 64ii and 62ii's. Not amped and they sound very good. I have some rf63's on the way because I heard alot of good reviews about them. It comes down to price. 82ii's/62ii=$1200... 63's/64=$1600... 83's/64=$2100... 7ii's/64ii=$3000. Do you need the more expensive speakers? No. Do you want the more expensive speakers? Probably. Lol
  10. Yeah they fit. I actually had to move the screen up to get them to fit. The problem is they are so deep and my seating position is only 10 feet from the screen. Kinda in your face. We'll see.
  11. Yeah the cherry is nice especially the rc64ii. The real wood veneer can't be compared to the vinyl.
  12. I love the subs so far. Just having trouble with them being so big and my space being on the smallish size. Gotta find the right placement. Basically alot of bass no matter where they are. I'll get them dialed in with the new onkyo.
  13. I ended up buyingthe NR3007. I got a great deal and it arrives Friday. Hopefully I won't be disappointed. Heck I would have been happy if my 608 had preouts! lol
  14. BTW SubXero... glad to hear your moving to the east coast. There doesn't seem to be many forum regulars out here. Really the only other member I have knowledge of is the guy that bought my black 64ii. [Y]
  15. @subxero yeah not really sure about my sub placement. To be honest the A5-350's are so big the room doesn't feel or look right with the subs out front between my center and fronts. I'll post a shot of where I put the other sub as well. When I get the new onkyo I'll try to figure out the best placement for them. I originally wanted them for the front too but just don't think I like them there. Maybe I should have bought some smaller subs? This is the placement of my 2nd A5-350. It's under the stairs facing the main seating position. It also happens to be against the back wall. My seating is only 10.5 feet from the screen.Putting the subs between the 64 and the 62's would place them about 7 feet from my face. It's not that they did not sound good up front but just didn't look right. I thought I would try them placed out of the way and see if the sound quality decreases. I have only had 2 movies with the current set up so I need more time. BUt honestly so far it's hard to tell. Perhaps when the Onkyo arrives and I run the multiXT it will make a bigger difference.
  16. comparison pics.Mark1 feet vs. Mark2 feet. I like the mark 1 style. What do you think? mark2 Mark1 Mark2 Mark1
  17. Sorry for the low quality pics. I shot these with my iphone My Temp center channel! lol Sold my Black RC64ii and I used an HD300 satelite while I waited for my Cherry RC64ii to arrive. Also a shot of the RF62ii's without the feet installed. I don't care for the feet so I ordered some old style feet for them. I'll post comparison pics as well.
  18. Finally found 2 rf63's. Pain in the butt to get but I got'em
  19. I think the 7's look much better than the 83's. I think it's the colors in your room. The cherry does not work with your wall colors! Lol The black cabinets and black center of the 7's go well visually with your built in.
  20. The klipsch sub 12 is for sale on this forum for $225 I think and Is a great sub. I know cause I owned one.
  21. I had the f-2's and the f-3's. I used the rc 52ii with the f-3's and was not impressed. The c-3 was better. If you can swing it I would skip the 52 and get the rc62ii. The f-2's are not bad speakers they will sound good till you can match up your fronts. I actually used my f-2's as surrounds when I got my f-3's. I have an onkyo sr608 and was about to order that 707 u got. I decided on the nr3007 from accesories4less. You'll have to let me know what you think about your new onkyo. Don't know anything about the bic so can't help there. There is a black mint rc62ii for sale on this forum in the garage sale section. The guy selling it just bought my black rc64ii so his is up for sale. I bought a cherry rc64ii as I'm changing my color scheme up a bit.
