  1. Well I own the f-3's and rf 62ii's right now. I use the exact same avr as you and I have the rc64ii. The f-3's are large bass filled speakers. The rf 62ii's are more accurate but provide little bass. I like both sets. Depends on your room size and subwoofer. (EDIT) The synergy line are great speakers for the money. I have owned the f-2's and the c-2 and c-3 as well. Would I rather have the 82's over the f-3's? Probably. (based on my experience with the 62's) but I would not rather have the 52 series ( had the rc52 and didn't like it). The 62ii's can be had for $600 or so and if your room is small I would go with those. If your room is large then go with the f-3's for $500. However if you can stretch your budget a bit u can get the 8 inch woofer with the rf 82's for $700 or the 82ii's for $900. The rf 63's can be had for $1000 as well and those are supposed to be very nice
  2. I'm guessing this is a support beam for your house right? If so I wouldn't drill it. Get some metal straps and strap a 2x6 to the beam. Mount your brack on that. 32 inch tv should not be too heavy.
  3. Subxero did u say your rf.'s don't have feet? I purchased 8 new feet from klipsch last week. $6 each.
  4. I'm not saying onkyo doesn't make quality products. What I'm asking is what do they offer that the UMC-1 doesn't offer? I have no problem buying the onkyo sc5508.... Just want to know what I get for the extra money.
  5. Well Thanks for the help guys. I never listen to music. 100% home theatre use. What options does my onkyo 608 have that the UMC won't have? I only use hdmi outs and inputs (actually my pc has the optical audio going to it as well). I don't use the setup audyssy function either. So what is the reason to spend $1600 on an avr like nezff instead of the UMC-1?
  6. So I have been looking into separating my amp from my receiver. Couple questions though. Emotive gets great pub around here so I went to their website and checked them out. Is the UMC-1 essentially everything a normal avr is except the amplifier? I was looking at the same onkyo that nezff has but for the same price I can get the UMC-1 and the xpa-5. Would I need snything else? I guess I need some elementary training on separates. Thanks for any help you can offer.
  7. 14 awg monoprice cl rated. It has the pos and neg wrapped in a white outer jacket. I run mine under the baseboard and it works well. I also have banana plugs from monoprice and love them. If I had to have my wire showing I would probably order some from nezff. I also ordered right angle power cables for my 500 watt subwoofers from monoprice. 14 awg as well. Elemental designs shipped 18 awg cables so 14 may not be nessasary but certainly won't hurt.
  8. Well I had a c-3 f-3 and f-2 for surrounds set up. It worked quite well. I was also using hd300 satellites as rear surrounds. Only issue you'll have running 7 speakers is making sure you get enough power to them. I have only had experience with running off a single avr. Others with separates can chime in on those. I'm sure everyone will agree you are not going to be getting 100 watts per channel off your avr in 7.1. There is Also very little content out in true 7.1 anyway so I don't think you'll be missing much by only using 5.1..... So the f-1's are more sensative and will handle power moreeffiecntly than the s-2's. But the s-2's will spread your sound better with the 2 horns.
  9. Just got sniped on eBay for $504. Didn't want to pay more for damaged cabinets. Didn't really want the 83's anyway but for a good deal....
  10. True... Hows $500 for a price? Slight damage on to in rear. The least visible for my HT set up.
  11. How good are these? They are actually bigger speakers than I want but may be able to grab a set for a killer price. Are they great? Anyone ever regret buying them?

    7,8, better stay up late
  13. Hey! Where did you get those and for how much?
  14. Let me know if you ever sell your 63's. I'm interested.
  15. Just ordered 8 new feet from klipsch. Problem solved $6 each shipped
  16. Your right about more time. I can't decide without some playtime. I have master and commander from Netflix right now so hopefully I'll get to watch it (should my son allow) lol. Well at this point I just don't see. Myself dropping $2200 on the 7ii's. I listened to them right next to the 62's at a local shop and just didn't hear a $1700 difference. Now I would love to hear the 63's and 82ii's but nobody seems to have any locally.
  17. Upgrade bug I guess. Always thought I wanted the 83's. Then the 7ii's because they were not as deep as the 83's. Now with the 62ii's I am liking their size. I would say the f-3's are maybe the biggest I would want to go depth wise. I was about to get the 63's but I really don't like how deep they are. The 7ii's are a better size being much shallower and width is not really an issue. However the 7ii's are just so much more expensive than the 63's. I'm just wondering if the 7ii's are $1200 better than the 63's and $1700 better than the 62ii's?
  18. I am thinking about getting different floor standers. Rf 63's for $1000 or Rf 82's for $750. Both sets are brand new. Thoughts? I had f-3's and now have rf 62ii's. I have a small room and 2 eD A5-350's so low's are not an issue. Should I stay with the 62ii's? Go back to the f-3's or upgrade? I also have a set of rf83's available for $1400 and rf 7ii's for $2200. Space is an issue. I can fit any of them but the seating is 9 feet from the wall so the further out the speakers sit the closer they are to me. Also I only use them for HT.
  19. What's your email address? I'll send some fromy phone
  20. Cornfed is pretty much correct for movies and tv. If your going to listen to music in all Chanel stereo then set it to full size. Towers as low as you can get them and c-3 at 50hz
  21. Funny cause I just received a set of rf 62 ii's today! With no sub I personally would want the c-3 set to full size. I have used it in both small and full range. With a nice sub I would go small. It has the ability to produce a little bass so you should use it. Give an update how you like the c-3 after a while. At $130 it will be a cheap fix should u like it. FWIW I liked my c-3 much better than the next speaker I went to (rc52ii). Before I got the rf 62ii's I used my f-3's. I used the f-3's with 5 different center's hd300, c-2, c-3, rc 52ii, and my current rc 64ii. The 64 is the best but next would be the c-3.
  22. They claimed they sent out an email and that I responded saying it was ok! Lol. Really. I'm not kidding. I will be contacting klipsch about this because they are an authorized dealer straight off klipsch's website. I'm sure klipsch doesn't know about these business practices.
  23. Well then I should put an add out for trades then. My 62ii's for someone's 62's! Just really annoyed at the customer service. Oh and the new feet! Lol
  24. So I received my new rf 62's today. However they sent me the wrong model. I ordered the 62's and got the 62ii's. I gotta say I really dislike the looks of the feet. I actually hate them. I heard them at a local store so I know they sound great but the feet are awful. They said they would take them back but were real rude on the phone. They actually said I was "wrong" when I said I didn't like the new model... Lol. I'm not gonna say in public where I ordered them from but if anyone wants to email me I will let you know. The cherry color is great on the positive side
