  1. Anyone using this speaker for surround and have any opinions on it??? rs5650s is half the price but just still cant cope with thinking my wall cavity is going to do it any justice......
  2. Like new pair of rs62-2 surrounds. A stock. have receipts for them.. Located in Northcentral Iowa. $ 650 cash. Have original boxes. Garner, Ia 50438 . 12 miles west of Interstate 35 on Hwy 18
  3. Moving and changing layouts. Was using this RF7 for center rear. Will not fit in my new layout. Barely used, A stock. 2 yrs old. $ 675 cash. I am located in Northcentral Iowa. Garner, Ia 50438
  4. Anyone have any interest in a pair of RS62-2 surrounds in like new condition or a single Cherry RF7-2 . Both are A stock. I have receipts. Do not want to try and ship these. I am close to Clear Lake, Ia. 12 minutes off of I-35
  5. I bought RF7-2's along with 64-2 center and 62 rears when they came out 2 years ago. Absolute great setup.... Due to transferring for work I have bought a house that doesn't have the right layout for a room as I had. Front soundstage will be somewhat better but rear has ran into some difficulty's....Room is 15 ft wide but to one side of the seating area there is no wall. Wall only goes back 14 foot on one side and is open to the kitchen.. And when seated I will be about 16.5 feet back. Don't want to move seating forward at all. I have a wall that is 6ft behind my seating area but the wall is actually only 7.5 ft wide... So about my only options I see is putting something on the back wall behind me..... Due to the shear size of the 62's I don't want to mount them on this back wall.. I would like to go with inwalls.. Don't want ceiling speakers at all.. So I have been researching KS7800's and R-5650-S II speakers. Any opinions on this setup choice???? I think if the 5650's were boxed (enclosed) I would not hesitate buying a pair and actually maybe 2 pair and mounting 2 behind me and 2 a little ahead of me.. I guess I feel I don't really have the optimum setup and wonder if I am going to be wasting cash buying the 7800's . In the process of moving and renovating so wish I had a camera here to post a pic of the layout..... But I guess if I sell the 62's and the other RF7-2 that I had behind me in my old setup the 7800's wouldn't be a problem... Just hate to drop extra cash right now due to other expenses on the house...... Thanks
  6. I bought my first set of Klipsch speakers just a couple months ago. They sound great and I have no regrets on what I bought. If Klipsch gets bought out, Klipsch gets bought out. If for some reason down the road I am in the market for new speaks and they have been bought out and I like what product they have I will buy it. If I dont like what they have I wont buy it. While I hate to see them get bought out I have no idea the facts and fiqures of the company. And its nothing to loose sleep over. They might be bought out and get a larger budget for r & d. More money for whatever... Who knows what may happen...... We on the forum really dont. But dont loose sleep over it. To many other important things in life to worry about.
  7. Ive had my cherry 7 system up for a couple days now. Will post pics when I get some more time. I run a onkyo 805 rec. I cannot believe how much cooler it runs. Same settings, same music, volume etc and I am running 20 degrees cooler on top of receiver. I've ran it pretty hard already and I dont really see a need to add on a amp. Depends on if I get other speaks sold and maybe I will. Tech support told me I would not need to add an amp. I do no that this should be my last set of speaks. They sound great, look great and more to come....
  8. I have been told by klipsch tech support that my onkyo 805 will have no problem running the setup I have coming. RF7's-RC64-RS62's. Still might add a xpa5 later but have decided to give it a try without the amp.
  9. So I heard it was your birthday today..... Bet they took you down to the showroom and let you take anything you wanted home for your birthday.....[]
  10. Was told last night by AcousticSoundDesign.com that black RF-7's have shipped and cherry should be shipping this friday. I have cherry ordered so still waitin on the truck................................................
  11. With the Emo? Without the Emo? Dont get which combo you are refering to
  12. I have them ordered but they havent shipped yet. Supposably they didnt anticipate how many would be ordered and are having a hard time getting them out of the plant. I have been told by the dealer I ordered from that maybe end of the week they will start shipping. So I am trying to patiently sit here and wait for a delivery date.
  13. Not built yet. Maybe shipped in 10 days but the wait is killing me........ They have postponed another line just to get the new ref 5's built and out the door.
  14. Feeling like a 3 year old at christmas........ Waitin for the new system to get built, and then arrive.......... Need any help down in Hope...... I've got lots of vacation built up...........
  15. Just email me when your having an "off" day and I'll start this thread again !!!! I still have Polk Audio "directors" chairs that the dealer gave me so many years ago on my last purchase so I would hate to just be advertising Polk still......
  16. Just entered the Klipsch world by ordering RF7-II, RC64-II, and RC62-II last night. Have to ask, do I get a free T-shirt or something from Klipsch....................................
  17. 1 more question. Just ordered a system last night. rc64 wont fit in my cabinet so I am going to have another cabinet made. Always have had a ported center before this. Just wondering on cabinet if sound quality will be affected by sticking this center into a tight enclosure on a stand. Or better to have it out in the open. Only problem with out in the open and putting it on top of my current stand is stand is 23 deep which would bug me having center so far forward on stand and I would have to wall mount the tv which I dont really want to do if I dont have to. But dont want to have spent this much on a center and stick it in a place that would compromise sound. Thanks
  18. Well I found time......I feel like a kid at xmas time. Now just have to wait for the freight truck to arrive. Probably just get the xpa5 and be done that way I will hope the upgrade bug never comes my way again.. Wrong forum, but now I need to unload a good used Polk system!
  19. Finally tonight if I find time to sit down on the phone I am ordering the new RF7 fronts, RC64 center, along with RC62 surrounds. I have a Onkyo 805 receiver right now. Think it is 130 per channel which I realize is only 2 channels running. Wondering what I need to power these. Looking at Emotiva xpa5 which is 200 x 5 all channels driven. I've seen a couple people on here that are running a 64 center off a receiver, but will that actually power a sealed center? And I see the surrounds call for 150 w. Am I going overboard on a 5 channel amp and I could get a 3 channel and run the rears off my receiver? But I want this to be my last darn purchase ( wife really agrees with that!) and do it right and be done. Thanks
  20. Link says 10 inches on front page while cut sheet shows 13 inches
  21. About to drop alot of money with this online dealer. They are on the Klipsch auth dealers so should be no problem. Any problems that I should know about?
  22. My mistake but I should have been more specific. I am looking at the new rc64 center. On the first page of it on the product sheet it says 10 inches. but if you go to the cut sheet it says 13. And while I am at it here is another question. If I do buy this I will have to set it on top of my tv stand and then move up my tv and wall mount. So the center will be at ear level sitting down. The only bad thing that I can think of would be that the center would be set back about 8 inches from the front on top of the stand. this would be for wife factor since she has already said she wouldnt like the look of the center "sticking" out front. Anyone think of any reflections or sound problems with doing this. Just had the stand made a year ago so another stand is not an option.
  23. guess I should have been clearer. I am talking about the new 64. 1 page on the website says 10 deep.
  24. Some places say 10 and some 13 inches. Which is it??
  25. Looking to get something new. Have some good Polk Audio that I have had for about 12 years. LS90's. Something keeps getting me to look at Klipsch. Havent heard them for a long time now. But like horns. Almost preordered new 7-2s last night with matching center and surrounds. Hard to audition something where I live since no dealers keep anything. I guess about my only reservation about the new 7's are the 2 10" drivers. With the multiple smaller drivers that I've listened to it just seems tighter to have smaller drivers. Any opinions on this????? Thanks
