  1. Posted this pic bcs I would not let me post a pic in a privet msg.
  2. OH boy the XPA-1 are awesome thats 2000 bucks of thunder... The XPA-2 8ohm=.0196 4ohm=.075 Not bad for les than half the price... If you got the room and Kesh go for it...
  3. I tend to think that high gain amps with high sensitivity speakers act like a compound microscope focused on whatever is fed into the amp. That doesn't mean it's bad, just that the whole 'junk in, junk out' effect is perhaps more apparent in such a system. If you're front end is nice and quiet, Emo amps should be just fine. Very True
  4. I love my XPA-2 with my RF-7II. Over kill? I wonder what will be to gain from a UPA-1 I love other peeps perception on sound.. its fascinating. sure glad I spent about a year listing to other brands B4 I made my dicision. Maybe I'm just a klipsch junky. My ears love them.. Always have Always will I would say the one thing i gave a shot in the dark with was Emotiva... As far as gain.. I have no floor noise what so ever (unless you are about 3 inches from the speaker) Are you still trying to tame your horns???? Room treatment, speaker placement, EQ settings!!
  5. Dont do it.. Its just aluminum with a copper coat. Copper is a better conducter than aluminum and it does not expand and contract as much... Not worth the money being saved...IMO
  6. The new Imatch is a awesome. For 30 bucks you can have your whole play list with your Iphone/Ipad with you at all times..
  7. If thats what you want dont let 50 bones get in your way....
  8. My Dad Had KG4s... thats when I fell in love with Klipsch Are trailer was next to the nbr hood pool and I would point the speakers out the window and we would jam at the pool all day untill my dad came home from work. The good Ol days.
  9. Pandora is nice. I paid for the upgrade to "Pandora One" when you do that you can get the higher quality Streaming, and no adds. I listen to my music in Direct 80% of the time. My RF-7II gives me all the punch I need. I listen to light rock to heavy metel. (No Country or Rap) Apple TV makes it nice bcs you can stream wirelessly. I have my sub set up for movies more so than music, not that it does not sound good for music. I just feel the sound quality all around is much better in Direct, but thats just me. Audassey set my fronts to 40Hz but I changed them to 60Hz sounded a little clearer and still had a great punch to them. I have my Towers 20" from the corner of my room and 10' apart from each other.
  10. I knew you where not happy with your HSU Sub and now the RF-7II. Are ears would be the Def. of POLAR OPPOSITES.
  11. http://community.klipsch.com/forums/t/154591.aspx I Dont know if they are still for sale.. but 1500 for RF-63s and RC-64 is a great price.
  12. The RF-82II are half the price. The W-35,s are up there with the RF-7II
  13. Besides the Gain being a little high for horn loaded spkrs. you will not here a diff. with a new amp. esp. if you are looking for more mid bass. XPA2 is a monster.
  14. What Hz do you have your fronts at.
  15. I love mine... I have only compared it to Klipsch subs (RW-10 and 12) but it was twice the sub. Even when you turn it up it does not give you that much bass? Almost like your driver is moving a lot but you are getting no sound/bass
  16. I know mine sounded really bad with my Switch set to OUT.. and when I ran Audyssey I set my Vol=to 9:00 but over time I moved it to 11:00. And I only use my sub for HT. My L and R RF-7II are set at 40Hz
  17. From left to right Vol=11:00 / phase=180deg. / Eq#2 / Q. Control .5 / Crossover freq 80 / Switch = IN
  18. Thats what I did and It helped...
  19. They where double in price for a reason.. 83s all the way
  20. Thats wild I love mine. My room is 13X20 It took me a while to get it dialed in but once i did i loved it. I would try dialing them in one at a time. start with the one in the corner. one thing about tunable subs is that its nice to have that as an option but it can be a pain to find the right setting. I have 1 port open, EQ2,180deg,QR-.05,FR-80, I used Audyssey to set up my speakers but i turned my sub up a little after i did that. When I was testing my sub I used music with heavy hard hitting and low base. I would not be surprised if your 2nd sub would sound better in a different location. once you get your first sub dialed in yous the "subcrawl" to find your sweet spot for your 2nd sub (if you can put it there) good luck.
