  1. rf-62iis sound really good. grats man I had the rf-82 set up before and loved it. Wow now that I think about it. This is my 4th reference set up For sure Ref Head, I love the set up. By far the best speakers I've had. And the 7's just give me something to look forward to down the road. Your set up looks sweet in that narrow room, just a wall of sound! Do you like one of those subs better than the others?
  2. I love it BlubitRates, I'm just getting the upgrade bug. The 7's are out of my price range for now anyway. I need an amp and some Reference surrounds first anyway.
  3. Wait for the Extended additions to buy. Worth a rental though.
  4. Live Free or Die Hard is great. Rambo (the last one) has great LFE I second the motion on Inception and Dark Knight. Toy Story 3 and Monsters vs Aliens are really good too, especially with the kids.
  5. I got everything set up on the new theater. Just got all my wires from Monoprice. I still need to put the baseboards in and add some decor, but I'm loving it so far.
  6. All you RF7ii owners suck! I got my RF62ii's a month ago and now you have me dreaming about an upgrade! Seriously, they are some bad mamma jamma's!!
  7. I think you'll notice, I'm not a critical listener or expert by any stretch, but when I went from the Synergy c2 to the RC-62ii, it was night and day. Much more crisp, the dialogue was bright and clear, and effects popped. Of course replacing the b2's with the RF-62ii's didn't hurt either.
  8. C'mon, nobody has any ideas on this....you guys know all this stuff. Figured I'd bump this up for one more try.
  9. In that scenario do you have the fronts set at zero and then the center at +2? Mine seems pretty balanced but still tinkering.
  10. My room is 23' x 13', the TV sits at the end on a 13' wall. It's in the lowest level of a tri level house. The back of the room opposite of the TV is open to the kitchen and there is a 6' cutout on the right side that leads to a bedroom and bathroom. My question is: does anyone know if it would improve the sound to put up curtains in these open spaces? Are there any special acoustic curtains that I could hang up or would something from Lowes, Bed Bath and Beyond be effective? Thanks.
  11. I loved it too. I watched it on my old synergy bookshelf set up and reading all the posts here makes me want to see it again with my new setup. I may need to go buy it tomorrow!!
  12. This is my favorite in 2010 for sure.
  13. Yeah, I guess that makes sense. He seemed fairly knowledgeable so who was I to argue. This is my first experience with relatively high end audio (at least for me). I just got them on Saturday and haven't had a chance to really open them up. So far I'm really impressed with the sound though. If it gets better after 50-100 hours even better.
  14. I just bought my RF-62's and RC-62 and the guy at the store advised a 100 hour break in period. He did demo a brand new pair of bookshelf (rb-51's) vs the display models. They were hooked up to the same receiver. The displays had a more rich bass sound than the brand new ones. I am a novice on all this stuff, so just my observation.
  15. Just got the RF-62. Running with the sub 10 from my old system. How should I set the crossover? I am running my system with the H/K 254 AVR. Would it make sense to have alot of the bass coming from the L/R"s since they are better speakers than the sub 10?
  16. This is my first post, but I've spent the last month or so reading the boards. After going through the last 75 pages of this thread, let me just say........I love you guys! Seriously though these set ups are awesome. Very inspiring. I am running a Synergy bookshelf system right now but will be upgrading in the next week or so. I will post a pic as soon as I get it set up. I'm really excited to get it done. Thanks again for all the great ideas.
