  1. I love my RFf35's centered by a RC64. I have not heard the rf7's or 82's though so it mite be just my ignorance.....hehehe
  2. With that time frame and that set up I give him until 3pm to start the search for a rc64![]
  3. Thanks for reporting back your thoughts on these. I'm looking for mounts for rb61's and these, after your experience , will be perfect for me!Thanks
  4. +1 on Harmony remote. I have same as Youthman, runs everything in my system even my Klipsch xw-300 sub. Check local CL for a used one, might get lucky and get one from guy upgrading.I just bought an 880 for 30 $ and have it as back up.
  5. WOW!!....even in the midst of a 20 yr plus heavy drug addiction (clean and sober 10 yrs now) , my perception of reality was never this skewered. He presents himself as a lonely person seeking attention, whether it be negative or positive attention. Just my limited opinion of the facts presented through his posts. Hey ajoker2c, I don't think I've said it yet, welcome to the Klipsch Forums, we're glad you're here. I have to wonder if our "paths" might of crossed over that 20+ year span. Congratulations on the 10 years! I've been clean & sober for 16+ years now. There are quite a few "friends of Bill W." here. I just wanted to say Howdy and Welcome! (<--------that's funny!) Dennie Thanks Dennie. 10yrs on Jan 20th so Im a lil ahead of myself....Friend of Bills since day 1 Makes sense now that I feel very welcomed here and see all the comaradirie and selfless acts between the members here! Joining here has been an amazing experience learning from you guys and buildinga new love for sound experiences. Peace[]
  6. Oh I see the Seroquel has kicked in.....I understand this post !

  8. The Rf-35's will keep up well with a RC64 . Best upgrade I did was to add the RC64,front stage is so much fuller then with RC62 originally
  9. From my experience with Optoma HD65 and earlier H31 I had problems with black levels with older H31 and 800 lumens. With 1600 lumens on the hd65 (1600 is not all that high compared to newer models now) the difference in contrast and black levels are night and day with this screen. Da-Lite 110' model C manual pulldown is what I'm using. The added brightness from my experience has not taken away from percieved black levels. Ambient light is the biggest culprit for that and lower contrast. It's retro reflective so any light source behind you lowers everything. There is a high power/high contrast Grey available now that appears to resolve that but have not seen one in person. The only issue I see coming up with these screens is the narrow optimal viewing cone. All my seating is within the screen width so its minimal here
  10. Ive been preaching this screen material for awhile. Biggest improvement Ive had in my HT. Projector is approx 22inches above and 1foot behind head and the brightness and contrast has improved dramatically with 1600 lumen projector.
  11. http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1334832 Definite contender for this room if you can mount projector a little lower from ceiling or shelf mount behind sitting area. I have the 106 Manual which is 9ft across. Won't be a bad seat in there with narrow veiwing cone.
  12. I'm staying outta this as Youthman slapped my knuckles for taking thread of track (and rightfully so too )Why dont you start a thread looking for suggestions and recommendations that will give you the right advoce in which way to go. And yes to your questions Robc depending on budget and room accomadations for light.
  13. Found these on CL from a guy who couldn't fit them in basement and gave them to me for a song!
  14. Loving the new Carver amp (thanks again rdmarsiii)
  15. Getting closer to what I'm looking for!
  16. Remember to keep a seat for yourself in that small room full of speakers......I'll know who to PM when I want to upgrade as you'll have all the reference series speakers being sold on here in your possession when your done.....lol......you have RF7ii's with a RC64ii and your asking if the soundstage with these 82's and 62 is adequate? Is it detail value your looking for or resale value? Used prices haven't dropped as dramitically here in Canada recently. I just sold my Rc62 for 350 and 8/10 RF82ii's are going for around 600-800.....but people here seem to expect 1000 for them and are hard to find deals.
  17. To go with Rivers suggestions you might look here in garage forum where a guy is selling exactly what Rivers suggested and only 55 bucks more then your 400 budget for all 3 http://community.klipsch.com/forums/t/152669.aspx
  18. "I'm used to life up here in Canada, where OTA HD doesn't really exist (for all intents and purposes)." Granted that may be the case in Edmonton, but OTA HD in around the border and in and around big cities is alive and doing great in Canada. In Toronto here I get 24 OTA HD channels clearly and the 5.1 sound is a lot better and especially more consistent. I'm running a NFusion HD box through FTA. No Rogers,Bell and Shaw HD craaap for me. NFL over OTA attenna (buffalo local FOX,NBC,CBS,) has incredible sound and feels like I'm AT the game
  19. In the description in the Ad it states: C/P "Serial # still intact on box, purchased from Authorized Klipsch Dealer" So it appears to be coming 2nd hand from an authorized dealer
  20. I use a WD Live as a media server for all my FLAC files. Works perfectly and is a cheap alternative. I have 2 1Tb eexternal hard drives connected to it. 1 for music and 1 for movies. hope that helps
