  1. this particular speaker was discussed in this forum earlier in January of  this year we know that it may be a 50's  Klipschorn Junior  as these shipped with the EV Cobreflex IIB   Horn as an option  and the University SAHF  mids driver  as well is correct ,  the crossover looks original but has no tag   ,- we can see a tag on the left side of the bass bin ,  and this may tel us the exact age of the speaker and whether this is a true 51 TO 55 KHORN JR

I built these as my Cornscala replacements. These are the best Heresy/12" 2way Ive heard.
    12" eminence Pro woofer
Faital Large format Eliptrac horn... its the same horn I use on my 2way cornscala and bob uses on his Cornscala D.
    Faital 1.4" driver.
    Crossing conservatively at 800hz.
Custom ALK AP12-800 with values adjusted to the Eminence woofer... its not an off the shelf ALK AP12. I had Al measure this woofer a few years ago so the crossover is matched to the woofer.
Think off this as a small Cornscala. ~ 1/3rd the size. Bass is solid to 50hz and mid range to die for.

    Hi folks,

I'm moving about 4 hours drive away and was wondering if there were any guidelines to follow to protect my Cornwalls from any damage. When I bought them I didn't have any time to strategize (would have sold quickly) and just threw them in the backseat/trunk of my Toyota as best I could with some towels for protection. This time around I was planning on taking the grills off and placing the speakers upright in the corner of the truck and covering them with heavy moving blankets. Any thoughts appreciated.

first thick spongy plastic sheeting  , wrap around- tape - then thick bubble wrap  and tape ,  then cardboard - that layer will take any kind of bump  --moving Blanckets- and cardboard in the vehicle --

"The Third Reich at War" by Richard J. Evans.  Over 1100 pages but I find it interesting.

Quote from page 144 by Adolph Hitler  " I am convinced of the powers of my intellect and of decision...The fate of the Reich depends on me alone...I shall shrink from nothing and shall destroy everyone who is opposed to me."

    Wow.

well he did destroy quite a few Masterpieces in his madness and he  reduced Germany from a big cultural society and land  into a very small country  , and the massacres and the Holocaust that almost wiped out the Jewish population of Europe were genocidal--------when the war was about to end, he ordered their entire destruction  with flame throwers  of the worlds rarest paintings and artwork  , what a sad legacy , first looting the Artistic treasures of Europe , then burning them to ashes -  he did more harm to Germany in 30 years than history combined -

Leonardo Da Vinci by Walter Isaacson.

Leonardo was a genius.  Had he not been the illegitimate son of a notary, the societal pressures of the day would have him follow his father’s profession.  Instead, his illegitimate status left him free to pursue his interests in painting, sculpture, anatomy, engineering, and more.  The world benefitted as a result.

Around 90 percent of damage is done to speakers when moving them.

you are again 100% correct , I over protect my speakers during moving  against any kind of bump or drop  , and of course the most important , never move heavy speakers by yourself or with a helper you can't trust 100% -

The Browning automatic rifle (BAR) was first thought with long history with different variations and cartridge capability. At least originally 30.06

and at least 3 others over time.

--you are very right - BAR  , very heavy , low recoil -  and definitely overbuilt -------

I have a original Cornwall with the Cane grills.  Any knowledge on the subject of cleaning would be of help.  What solution is safe to use and not destroy the material.  I want to mitigate the appearance of minor staining.  Budweiser went astray.  Thanks for any advice.

I would first place a foam piece or a very thick cardboard in the back of the grille in the  part of the grille for the tweeter-mids-woofer  to strengthen the grille as you apply pressure to the  cane material on the front part of the grille , this can avoid damaging the material ------------and I would use dishwater soap , or steam -----slowly , softly  on both grilles to match up ----

Same thing for the Health Director of Orange County, CA ... read that she ordered the wearing of masks and was getting death threats -- so she quit.

I don't blame her for taking the  threats seriously -

On the city sidewalks, probably half of the pedestrians are wearing masks, so the general public seems to understand the need to wear them.
