  1. Latest edition to my HT room. SVS PB13-Ultra
  2. It's a PB13-Ultra You can't really compare as the PB13-Ultra is at a whole different level, a mole hill vs Mount Everest.
  3. Thanks, I now have the bass I needed to compete with my RF7 II's, it fills my 2025c/ft room with full rich bass. Its incredible just how low it goes. One happy camper.
  4. Replacing my SW-112's [:|] First Impressions, holy crap its big! Setup time.
  5. I noticed that your component rack is located in the HT room? Are you not concerned with fan noise? Also curious, what size screen is that?
  6. You should throw something on your screen. Best HT room I have seen on the net, its perfect!
  7. How about some color photos? The B&W photos don't do the room justice.
  8. Any updates? What is your impression of the THX 7.2 setup by Klispch?
  9. Wow! Can't wait to see the finished product on this build. Is that a concrete ceiling?
  10. A new photo with the grills off.
  11. Haha, yep, thats it. I hacked mine up though, cut the top bars off and removed the top glass so I could sit my big center in the middle. It's done me good for the past 9 years.
  12. Thanks, its from www.italsofa.com , unfortunately the design did not offer recliners in the middle. The automan help. These were the options http://www.italsofa.com/cms/libraries/download_file.php?id=7754
  13. I don't think I have ever included my setup in this thread, haha, might as well []
  14. Audyssey does not determin your speaker size or spacinng, it simply calobrates EQ. Your AVR is doing all the measurments and speaker sizing. This was told to me by the Audyssey people when I asked them directly about the same questions. I have done a ton of experimenting with Audyssey and in the end I found that turning Audyssey off produced the best results, haha. You will get a much fuller broad sound without Audyssey, try comparing and you will see for yourself.
  15. The Day The Earth Stood Still has some amazing scenes as well.
  16. I have to say Watchmen has some of the best scenes for really making your HT setup shine. Share your favorite.
  17. After 6 months of waiting my couch finally arrived! Its 12' wide with two recliners on each end. Its super comfy, hehe. Link to photo so you can actually see it. Back http://bradstaylor.com/hometheater/img_5389.jpg Front http://bradstaylor.com/hometheater/img_5394.jpg and the front.
  18. Did you notice a big change in the sound? It has a cleaner sound for sure at higher levels but I wouldn’t say it’s a real big difference. It only cost about 375 total so I’m happy with the looks and the small upgrade in sound. But it definitely didn’t blow me away or anything. (I should point out that my placement location was more about the look than optimal sound placement) Kind of defeats the purpose no? LOL Looks over sound? Huh? If you did the math for your room and placed those panels in the proper place I'm sure you would notice a HUGE difference.
  19. Did you notice a big change in the sound?
  20. What does SS stand for? What will this SS and tube amp do for my speakers? How will it improve the sound?
  21. Hmmm, so basically from this blog, it sounds like passive bi-amping which I would be doing is just a big waste of money. No benefit. Full blog here. http://community.klipsch.com/blogs/andyw/archive/2007/09/07/bi-amplifying-or-bi-amping.aspx So where’s the controversy? Just taking two stereo amplifiers and hooking them up to your speakers (removing the straps on the input terminals) is called passive bi-amping (or “fool’s bi-amping” for the non-PC) and is very close to being just a waste of money (again many people will disagree). You are sending the entire music signal to both amplifiers and both amplifiers are amplifying the entire signal, but you are allowing the passive crossover network to filter the amplified signals. I can’t think of any benefit in doing this. The tweeter amplifier is still reproducing the bass signals and they are still causing the amplifier to clip. (Perhaps there is a slight benefit by not requiring the current of the bass notes, as this can increase the headroom of the tweeter amplifier – by not drawing down the power supply rail voltage.) I
  22. Has anyone Bi-Amped their RF-7 II's? If so, how were the results? I'm considering the Emotiva XPA-5 and Bi-Amping my two fronts and using the 5th channel to power my center.
