  5. Family Room current setup 14x16 with open back link to kitchen area -RC35 center - 2 rf 82 front - 2 rf 82 rears - 2 x 12" velodyne sub Master Bedroom - 2 rf 82 Home theater currently being build room size 16x14 -bought complete set -2 x RF 5 -1 x RC 7 - 2 x RS 7 - 2 x 12" klipsch sub then run to another deal on a pair of RF 7will pick them up tonight for the bedroom I am pretty sure I will only need stereo. very happy with the family room setup already. home theater is also quite small for 7.1 so I would only go for 5.1. How would you shuffle the speakers around ? Thanks
  6. If I am you I would have two options 1) No further update and happy with the setup for the next 10 years buy emotiva sub, RC-62, RS-52 or RB-61 for surround and use your HK to power everything 2) upgrading path within a year or whenever you find a good deal or whatever budget you have to spare buy first a sub second RC-64 and third RB-81 or RB-61 depend on your money since you don't like dipole. Fourth RF7 or RF83 as front and move your 82 to rear for 7.1 or sell the 82 or the surround back. you can look for use market on here. then I would buy the emotiva xpa series last. by the way you need inducers (shaker) for your couch to watch movie they are awesome
  7. well if you can get the rc-64 cheap then sure why not but like youth man say i wouldn't spend $1000 on rc 64 if I only have rf82s front unless rf83 or rf7 fronts. I use rc35 ($200) instead with my 4 rf82 and I can't really tell the different when compare to my friend rc62. I spend the extra money on emotiva xpa-5 now that make a different. I have 2 Velodyne 12 inches ($250 each). sure you can go with klipsch sub ($350 each) but they are a bit more expensive already on sale in canada the us is cheap imo
  8. it is best to use two more rf82s (rb 81 price are almost the same as 82) if you have space otherwise rb-61s are ok. for centre RC-62
  9. my two rears are beside the sofa which is against the half wall. the right back is located at the lady in white shirt and the left would be at the corner near the window. yes they are firing directly toward the sitting position but now i move them angle toward the front because if I sit in the middle the sound is perfect but if I sit in the left closer to the left back then i hear more sound on the left ear same thing with the right. I listen to 5.1 music video most of the time. for movie it is not a problem. I currently have 4 rf 82s and rc 35 for 5.1 I meant should I buy two more bookshelf as front height because my denon has 7.1 I am using bi-amp right now but it seem like a waste thanks
  10. I just bought 4 rf 82s (900 per pair) and an rc 35 can't find rc 62 here in canada. They are running off Denon 891. as for movies they are awesome. But when I listen to 5.1 music and siting off the sweet spot I feel the back left or the back right a little strong depend where i am off the centre. by changing the level of the two back to -2 db more from the auto setup and rotate the angle (30 degree toward the front) they sound better. The reason I went with towers as back because the price of rs 52 for a pair is more than rf 82 pair in canada and I dont have a back wall to mount them on. my receiver allow me to add another pair as front height (rb61 perhap) would that make the movies or music sound even better ? the room is about 14 feet wide and 12 feet long divide by a sofa height wall to seperate the room plus 6 feet kitchen eating area plus 6 feet kitchen (all 14 feet wide) Forgot to mention my current sub is klipsch synergy sub12 firedown will replace with two Velodyne DVR 2 and put this down to my basement HT all polk audio though. The wife rather watch movie and music upstair than go down to the basement for the bigger screen This is when we make the offer to buy the house This is my house yup lots of kids toys from my two years old and the house is always a mess Thanks
