  1. i had to sell the 806 for one missing feature.........dynamic volume. when the kids are sleeping at night and its a dts-hd codec, i cant use the dolby night time feature to keep dialogue and explosions at the same volume. so i spent a few more bucks to get the sc-27........should be here tomorrow and i cant wait [<)]
  2. well i have a 5 speaker setup RF-3 ii RC-3 ii RS-3 i just upgraded from my onkyo 806 to a pioneer elite sc-27...................will i hear a difference in sound? i rarely listen to reference volume with 2 kids at home. im more concerned with maybe -25db from reference volume. will the clarity & dialogue be improved with the new receiver?
  3. Why do you think you need external amplification? clarity
  4. NICE EQUIPMENT!! i havent seen a VCR in quite a few years lol. im looking at an emotiva amp in the near future myself. only thing is do i want a 3 channel or a 5 channel. i listen to maybe 2 hours of music a year in my house.......is it worth it to pay for a 5 channel amp to power the rears or just let the AVR do the powering of the rears and get a 3 channel amp?
  5. ive been playing BFBC2 since the beta came out for ps3 make sure to put your audio settings in the options menu to WAR TAPES im usually online after 8pm est when the kids go to sleep PSN: DonVCorleone http://bfbc2.statsverse.com/stats/ps3/DonVCorleone/ ^^MY STATS^^
  6. old thread, but thanks. i just bought some RF-3 II's & an RC-3 II center the bolt fits perfectly!!!
  7. thats a little steep for me. im looking to spend like $250 MAX on a set of rs-3 ii
  8. no complaints about the 806 ive had it since feb 2009 and not one issue. the only negative is its missing networking (i could care less) and its also missing dymanic volume (which i do miss) 130 wpc is good for me these RF3 ii's & rc-3 ii are crystal clear, even for Battlefield Bad Company 2 on my ps3.
  9. long time lurker here i found a local seller on craigslist here in south florida selling a MINT set of RF-3 ii's & RC-3 ii center for $400 that i jumped all over. what a difference from my polk monitor 60s & cs1, which i sold to a good friend for $450 as he just bought an onkyo rc-180 2 days ago. im looking for a set of RS-3's to match if anyone has a set for sale. im already loving the clarity, even at low volume (the kids are sleeping) im using an onkyo 806 to push the power any recommendations as far as setup or where i can find a set of rs-3's for a good price?
