  1. Oh forgot again, I just want to share with you all what this system is for. This RF-7II system is for watching movies and for watching video musics. I will also use it to listen to mostly classic music like symphony because I enjoy the dynamic of the music style. Good day everyone
  2. Good Morning FOLKSSS !!!! Man... I can't sleep much last light without thinking and planning about my NEW TOY . Anyway folks, thanks you for all your great advices... and keep them coming as I will update my status in this new journey of mine. The reason I want to go with smaller wire for the surround back is because like I said before the little gap between the tiles and wood floor is pretty much my only option. Also my house is two story plan and it does need a lot of work if I wanted to route the wire between the floor and don't want to upset the wife, I must keep her happy in this early journey . Also I read on the klipsch speaker manual it mention "Use 16 gauge (AWG), two conductor, copper wire at a • minimum and larger gauge wire for longer runs " the length I wanted to use for the surround speaker is about ~40ft and that is for the distance from receiver down to floor, then across the floor, then up the wall to speakers = ~40ft. So what do you folks think? You know what I might go with 12 awg for the front, but still thinking 16awg for the surround. jvanhambelgium, I have not listen to the system because I still need to wait for the receiver to delivery to me hopefully on Monday and the RF-7II system is still in the box in the garage next to my weight plates working out in there. Dtel, the only speaker I have now to listen is the computer speaker 2.1. I watch movies and video music on TV and listen to TV speaker only. I forget how I started on this journey, but on a beautiful day, I stop at fry and stop by at the theater department and listen to some speakers that is when I realize that I have missing something so I then begin going to some local appliance store and check out some speaker and listen to them. I choose KLIPSCH RF-7II because it look like my style compare to others speakers model. PSG, since I'm not quite a handyman myself, so I have to choose the easy path for myself, but I do like your idea of overkill, and I probably will do it for the front 3 speakers only. Forgot, I can't run through wall in my case. Thanks for the link. I look at the wire ...hmmm... wire looking good. Sancho, I compare the two color, black and cherry, the cherry color attract me so that is why I look cherry. I haven't peek inside the box yet, I decide to surprise myself when I have the receiver and wires ready and install them this coming up weekend since I have 3 whole days to play with them. For the time being, I will only run 5.0 speakers, and yes I was also consider getting the SUB before getting the AMP and see how the whole system sound and if I need the amp, I will need to do it quietly without the wife acknowledge it, I must find a way to slip it into the system somehow but until then, 5.0 speakers for now. Oh also forgot, man, too many stuff in my mind now. 5.1 system is probably my final goal for this since it will be in the living room area and I want to make it a great system because guest come into the house, it will be the first thing the see. And it also for my family enjoyment also. Thanks you everyone for all the great advices and welcomes even thought I join the forum like 3 yrs ago. Now I need to go pump up with my speakers in the garage. Take care everyone and keep the post coming, BSDME
  3. Hi Beeker and Youthman, Wow fast respond there. Beeker, since my receiver have not arrive yet and weekend is usually the best time for me to play with this new toy. But I will check Walmart and Home Depot tomorrow and see what my option are. Thanks. Youthman, the reason I wanted to use two different wire size is because and maybe my only way to wire the surround speaker to the back wall since my room is an open plan floor with dining and kitchen, I can route the wire between the tile and the wood floor that I install 4 yrs ago, so I need as small a wire that I can get to fit the little gap and make thing neat and tidier so the wife can be happy. Thanks for the little lesson regarding the crossover, with that little lesson, I now understand why the way it is set. You make my day Youthman. By the way, I don't post a lot because I am still learning that why there are only 22 post in my profile but I hang on the forum almost everyday to learn about this new hobby of mine. Take care everyone! And continue posting. BSDME
  4. Hello everyone !!! I just received my Klipsch RF-7II Cherry 5.0 system today and I am very excited even thought I still have to wait for my receiver Denon AVR-X4000 to come and hopefully on Monday. Now that I can say I am a part of the RF-7II family !!! Anyway folks, I need some help. I am going to buy some speaker wire on Monoprice website tomorrow but need some more info so that I know what to buy. I plan to run the 3 front speaker RF-7II and RC-64II with 14 AWG wire and the RS-52II with probably 16 AWG wire which is support at 8 ohm load and 48ft max. Will these different size connect to the receiver jeopardize the sound or any problem at all? I don't have a sub yet, probably going to buy SVS SB13 Ultra around maybe Black Friday or Christmas of this year. So please kindly help me with setup on the cross over for Front R/L and Center speaker and the cross over for the surround speaker. Since I am a newb and have read some cross over info but it always good to learn and understand it clearly. Also please tell me step by step too to help me understand the term and meaning clearly. Thanks in advance to everyone who willing to help me on this and help me become a better Klipsch fan. Remember this is just the beginning, there will be more question coming until I am fully getting my system up and running smoothly. Finally, I know I know, I will take pictures when everything is setup otherwise " PIC OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN". Take care everyone. BSDME
  5. Hi everyone, Andy, I'm curious about the wood veneer spec of Klipsch. I know I read about B-Stock RF7-II speaker often but I want to ask anyway. How often do Klipsch make RF7-II speaker and declare RF7-II speaker as B-Stock because of the wood spec? I like B-Stock RF7-II due to cheap price but if Klipsch keep selling B-Stock RF7-II wouldn't that hurt the revenue? THanks for the insight information.
  6. Hi GSXR1000... so how much is your system cost with ship?
  7. Hi CVIPER..... did you register for the warranty with klipsch for your RF-7II speaker yet? Do they accept it since it B-stock model?
  8. Hi cviper, Did you register your speaker with Klipsch for the warranty. I call Klipsch and spoke with the rep name Steve told me that B-stock are not cover by Klipsch but chat with Mike from AcousticSoundDesign say that B-stock does cover by Klipsch just shorter than A-stock so I just to ask you have register your speakers for the warranty with Klipsch if they do accept it. Please let me know cause I'm confuse who is right. Thanks.
  9. Really nice... make me want to get the package already[] Just want to confirm... all 3 speaker are B-stock speaker?
  10. Hi Folks, Question on the wood on B-stock. Why do B-stock speaker cheaper than A-stock? Just because it the color difference? Or the quality of B-stock wood is somewhat lower quality than A-stock wood that are use on the speaker? When I look at the speaker of both difference grade, both look great except difference in color. Did Klipsch say A-stock speaker have wood with better quality and last longer? Any opinion or knowledge on this? Difference question. What type of wire are recommend for floorstanding speaker, center speaker, and surround sound speaker? Size? Gauge? Length? I am saving $$$ for this system and learn as much as I can before I make my purchase hopefully the end of this year. I would like to get thing to work the first time without headache, but the fun and knowledge is in trials and errors right folks?
  11. Hi Slickzr2, Congratulation for you getting the system. I am now saving $$$ for the same system or part of the system at the end of the year. If it ok with mod, could you tell me how much did you pay for the system and also if it a A Grade or B Grade system. You could private me message if need. Thanks.
  12. Hi rotharmy, Did you get any good deal for the system you purchase? How much is the total? By the way, do you know that Newaudiovideo.com is not Klipsch authorize dealer?
  13. Hi Skule, What surround sound speaker you use there? They seem to have different shape. Is it P-27S ? http://www.klipsch.com/p-27s-surround-speaker' class="hover hover_product">
  14. JasonJCarney, Where did you buy all three at $2500? Premium A grade or B grade? Man, the more I ask the more great deals I know I can get ....
  15. A1UC, 3200 for Premium A grade is very good I didn't even know you can get that deal for 2 RF-7II and RC-64II since the original of RF-7II pair is already at the price MSRP. When am ready to buy Acoustic sound design will be the first to call. BTW, when you call them and get the quote, there is no TAX and SHIPPING cost right? If no tax and shipping cost, it great deal !!!!! Any special negotiating skill require to get the deal you got? Oh just ask and you shall receive?
  16. For 3200 you get the Premium A grade speaker, for 2900 you get the B grade speaker. Which one are you OK with, like the premium or lower grade? They state that all quality build for the B grade speaker are that same as the premium, only difference is the wood. To me, if that is the case and since it hard to tell the difference between the two when you look at them in the picture probably won't look much difference in person either. I would go with the B grade if U can cancel the other order to save me 300.00 and use for something else.
  17. Hi there XxCowboyxX, where did you get a new pair of RF7ii for $2200 ? Are they klipsch original Premium A grade speaker or B grade speaker? Could you share the place you got them? Thanks
  18. Hi Folksss... A1UC, I just check Vanns and I did not see any offer that you mention, is that just over the phone offer only. For 3199.90, that is like buy 2 RF-7II and get free RC-64II. I hope is not a complement for the damage item that you received. BTW, did you buy the damage unit from Vann or from other retailer? And I assume that you get that promotion for the premium A grade speaker and not B grade speaker. bonedaddy77, I check ebay and did not see that "B grade" speaker that you got. Have the link? For 2000.00 2 RF-7II and RC-64II, that also a good deal too.
  19. Hi folksss.. I believed am in love with the RF-7II now ... they look powerful like me Question: For those who own the RF-7II speakers, where do you buy them? at what price? who is the dealer? I'm in Los Angeles, California, and would love to know a good dealer and hopefully can get a cheaper price than the MSRP, which is ~ $3200. Also, does anyone own a B grade RF-7II speaker like the link I have here: Klipsch Speakers RF-7IIB Floorstanding One Pair Cherry http://www.acousticsounddesign.com/core/view_BigProduct.cfm?pid=1937&sc=57 ~$2400 is great and $800 cheaper than the original but not many mention why not buying them. Is it worth to get the original grade than this B grade which only different in wood color? Could someone give me info on this? Thanks FOLKSSSS
  20. Hi Folkss.... Have anyone purchase from this dealer? http://www.acousticsounddesign.com/core/view_BigProduct.cfm?pid=1937&sc=57 How can you check to see if they are actually a Klipsch authorize dealer? The price is very tempting isn't it? Klipsch Speakers RF-7IIB Floorstanding One Pair Cherry Our Price: $2,398.00 Shipping Price: $0.00Thanks folkss
  21. Hi Folkss, Again great advices from all of you. Thanks you. Jason, I will keep your advice into my purchase (U never know in the end). Reference_head, from the picture you share, is your LCD TV lay on top of your center speaker? Or behind the center speaker? RC-64 II is wide for my current tv stand and an 1 inch tall on both of it level that's why I was thinking about getting RC-62 II but will see what happen when and if I'm going to get the system. Also, if you put your LCD TV on top of your center speaker, wouldn't that vibrate your tv when it in action? BYE FOLKSSSS...
  22. Thanks you for your valuable opinions and advices. I am thinking like confed mention and go with RF-7 II system. Save enough money to get the front three with receiver then move onto get the next slowly. Since most of you not quite satisfy with the lower model and upgrade later, well I'll just grab one piece at a time and probably better for me that way cause I don't want upgrade later and have other hobby to play with. I will come back to get more opinion on other parts. Just want to save for front three speakers of RF-7 II and Onkyo receiver for now. Now the next important question, where can I get a better deal than the price on Klipsch website? Anyone know any good reliable dealer? Thanks FOLKSS for all your help.
  23. I don't need the subwoofer yet cause I need to keep the budget down for now but will get it as soon as I get RF-7 II. I'll buy the subwoofer separately. Any recommendation for the subwoofer? I will use this HT for most movies man watching video music. So RF-82 II package is not quite good? It within my budget so that why I ask. But if RF-7 II package is much better that I will have to save more and sacrafice my spending just for this HT system. Thanks you for all your input.
  24. Hi folkss, Thanks you for your input. Question: Would the quality jeopardize if I break down the parts and choose this instead: RF-7 II Floorstanding Speaker x 2 RC-62 II Center Speaker RS-62 II Surround Speaker x 2 OR RS-52 II Surround Speaker RC-64 II is wide for the space I have and also trim down the cost. I will look into the AMP later and probably consider it into the package to maintain the power these speaker deserve. These speaker will be use in the living: L x W x H >>> 13 x 21 x 8 So to make a complete package, I should get: Speakers (list above), Receiver (may consider 3008), and last is the AMP. Anything else? Thanks you for your help as I am learning and saving to get my dream HT system.
  25. Hi Folks, I'm preparing to get a HT system for myself, mostly for movies and video music. I would like to know the quality of this two system. For receiver, am looking at TX-NR1009 9.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver OR TX-NR5008 I would to hear everyone opinion on this setup especially those who already use these two system. My budget is on the RF-82 II but could also save some more for RF-7 II system. Thanks folksss.
